The lack of a screenshot kills a lot of potential attention and I'm glad mine wasn't part of that lot.
Got amazed just by the slickness and the options available in the menu screen. "And the garage." is pretty good. I don't read much beyond scientific papers or in-game text and found the story/text/wording easy and fun to follow, the amount of it was just enough to keep up the interest and not switch to TLDR mode. The sound effects are great, only the lack of them sometimes is inconsistent (nitpicking, I'd probably have picked an earth rumbling sound over an unhinged window/car door rattle for the earthquake).
The menu is sexy, text is good, add an image to the game to not make it look sketchy, because it isn't.
It is interesting to see a game made in RenPy here. Nice work!
Did I mess up somehow or is there only one choice with 3 options, none of them making any difference in the game apart from the very next phrase?
Interesting, well-written story. :)
Cool story and nice menus.
Although i would have expected that the choice made, had a bigger impact on the story.
Greetings
Noooo! It ended with a cliff-hanger! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
The lack of choice is an interesting decision. Definitely made me feel less in control, and made the dark ending feel inevitable.
What this game says about free will is interesting -- this is the first time I've seen a game with one meaningless, superficial choice. As a parody of games, this is a great concept.

Well, that was heavy. The premise is an interesting take on the theme, and I gave an extra star for that. I wish there was a bit more choice, but the Christmas party was a nice touch. It humanized the character and made everything seem a bit more upbeat. I did play the game a couple of times trying to see what the different options at the party affected. I would have liked to see some change later in the game depending on the choice made at the party.
Overall, I liked despite how dark that got a the end.
Person above is correct on the lack of screenshot issue. Narrative games are hit or miss for me, I appreciated how dark it got towards the end. Story is well written, but the I wold have loved a bit more agency in my actions.
Hm.. that was downright unnerving. Interesting concept, would have been neat to have more actual input to make it more like a choose your own adventure book kinda thing.
Very moody, it created atmosphere very effectively. I think having more than one choice (and/or making that choice les inconsequential) would have made it work better as an actual game as opposed to a short story.
