I liked the music. I wasn't able to beat it due to one inaccessible orb, but I really liked the vibe.

I liked the music. I wasn't able to beat it due to one inaccessible orb, but I really liked the vibe.
Very moody, it created atmosphere very effectively. I think having more than one choice (and/or making that choice les inconsequential) would have made it work better as an actual game as opposed to a short story.
Great work! I'm amazed at the quality for a compo game. The audio gets a little repetitive after a while, but it fits the mood of the game perfectly. I was able to fly backwards down through the earth and outrun all the aliens while my height kept ticking up, but playing the game correctly was a lot of fun.
Also on OSX with a crash on killing. I think I had 36 coins and was at a height of ~8000.
Wow. Very impressive for a jam game. Turn-based strategy is one of my (lofty) goals for a jam at some point when I git gud at Ludum Dare. Good mix of planning for resources and keeping moving. I will play this game again, really well done guys.
I would have appreciated some more variety in the audio, the drill got pretty monotonous after a short period. I think this could work pretty well if you decided to continue development after the jam, could evolve into a nice little puzzler.
I really enjoyed this one. I was only able to get to 9 aliens since I'm on a touchpad. I originally missed the bit about clicking on the resources, having the instructions in game somewhere would have helped. Great work!
Tough to aim, but very unique idea. Plus points for both Spaceballs and Star Wars references.
I won! Definitely could have used more info about how much units cost, but I really liked the graphics.
Nice graphics! The game is pretty challenging, the best I could do was to consume 3 humans.
I never thought of using telnet for a game jam, full innovation points!
This feels like a really good start to a survival game. I would have liked a way to determine the precise placement of buildings before clicking, I managed to box myself in early on in my first playthrough. More information or player feedback on the status and operation of your buildings would have been welcome too. Still, it's a great idea and what is there is executed really well.
I think this could have been a really cool game. Strategy is a tough way to go for a jam, kudos to you for even attempting it. Are you considering finishing post compo?
The graphics were really great. I think in it's current form it's a bit too simple to stockpile what you need to outlast the wave. It feels like a solid tutorial level for a bigger game. I think you could definitely keep deving on this and add more complexity to make it a really entertaining experience. Also, adding some audio would go a long way towards making it feel like a more robust experience.
Very challenging! I like the use of gravity. I think there could have been a slightly easier mode with unlimited boost that might have been helped more people complete the game, but you can only do so much in 48 hrs. Good job!
Either the controls were a little tough for the keyboard/touchpad combo I was using or I'm still unsure how to give people items for buffs. I also found that the combo of limited ammo + tons of monsters + no really good way to avoid damage made the experience a little more punishing than it needed to be, but again, I could see how that might be due to my control setup. Maybe it would have helped if the game paused while you were trying to talk to someone or resupply your ship.
Overall though I think you did a really good job!
A nice effort! Some upgrades or the ability to place additional towers between waves would be welcome. I dig the aesthetic.
I like the art and the mechanics are novel. I think the pathing could use a little work but overall a good job!
Visually awesome! The overall vibe really reminded me of the hyperspace sequences of Star Control 2. Really nice work. As I'm sure you know, the mouse control on the web version is bugged, which is unfortunate. But overall I think this is a pretty stellar effort.
Adventure Owl is the most compelling video game protagonist that I can recall playing.
The audio and graphics are top notch. I love the theme, but I wish there had been an AI to play against since I don't have any friends in the vicinity. Also, the keyboard controls are a little strange, when I added 4 players the "O" key fired for all of them simultaneously. Not sure if that was intended. I think this game would probably work really well as a console game. Excellent work!
Nice little maze crawl! It would have been nice to see my final time on the victory screen, I think I got somewhere around 8 minutes but I can't be sure. Good job!
That music really adds to the frantic pace! I think this is pretty amazing for a compo entry. I do think adding some civ style resources would have helped replayability, but super solid job.
Baffling but oddly relaxing. Would definitely have appreciated some sly hints.
Good effort, the graphics are good and the gameplay is challenging (until I figured out I could just spam bombs from the top of the screen). I would echo that the controls could be better, especially putting bombs on the 'e' key, it makes it very difficult to keep straight what I'm doing.
Overall though a solid dive bomber.
The best voice work, hands down, in any game ever. I really suck at this game but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The best rodent exercise simulator I have ever played. Fantastic!
