LD39 — Running out of Power (1)

False Game by PoV 2017-08-03T15:25:04Z ♥ 2

The mood of this entry is not for me unfortunately, but otherwise I loved it!

LD36 — Ancient Technology (13)

Nilux by psychonull 2016-09-01T19:32:00

You got my attention at the Interjection!

RamessesII plus Nilux seems to be too easy though - just sent bunch of slaves to bunch of campaigns, set "vel 1" and soon got quite a lot of slaves that could be sent to more campaigns, soon got quite a lot of resources etc. Soon started to send gathering campaigns with so many slaves that they ended before automatic "current" command was executed :P

So I tried to play poorly and lose, but I couldn't :D It's now in the background tab at year 1000 B.C. waiting for Christ to born :D

Was fun to fiddle with the console though, liked the execution, and all the little nods made me chuckle ;)

Ruins of ZZT by Dr. Dos 2016-09-01T18:56:00

7562! \o/

Really solid entry! The boss battle glitched out for me a few times (the bomb's mess didn't disappear, but the bomb itself did and the boss didn't die) and had to start it over, but otherwise played it from the beginning to the end with basically no disruptions, kept engaged. Pretty impressing! Loved it - and I think I'll definitely look into ZZT now ;)

Gladius: The Destroyer by Daniel 2016-09-01T17:27:00

I'm digging the art!

Character movement could be improved - it's far from pleasant to go up the stairs :c Also, I just easily smashed my way with F button to the end of the game, without defending at all and not loosing much of my health. It should be a bit harder to win this way ;)

Just a friendly tip: remember to add some music next time, it's something that has one of the best amount-of-work/perceived-value ratio on jam games :D

Where Is My Boat by PlasmaErnst 2016-09-01T17:10:00

Day 72. Still haven't found my boat. I don't lose my hope though.

Blowin' Around The World! by Coomzy 2016-09-01T17:06:00

I think I'll just be repeating what already has been said, so I'd like to just ask you one question.

Where is my midget porn then?

Hippie Horde by Spinach_Chicken 2016-09-01T16:57:00

Nice little game that works pretty well!

Love the ability to shoot the bird :3

My nitpick: the sounds are too loud compared to music.

(and as already said here, embed seems to be broken)

The Fixer by lordvorath 2016-08-30T23:03:00

Yay, managed to get them all!

Please do finish the game, with whatever big plans you had. It was a bit boring, but still somewhat pleasant (probably thanks a lot to the music ;)). It you could prevent the feeling of being lost aimlessly wandering the maze by adding some content it could be a really nice little game-experience.

Shimagotchi by Threef 2016-08-30T22:45:00

Mimaj The Brave (age 1) recommends this game. Eventually he died of starvation with the rest of the village at week 513 after everyone went out for an adventure, but 10 out of 10 would hunt a big deer again!

URAHGGG by Wumbo 2016-08-30T22:33:00

Araahagra grharr argg!

Make cutscenes faster, optimize difficulty curve and it will be a really solid minigame :)

I am the Destroyer by BMacIntosh 2016-08-30T22:20:00

Also got stuck at the door. Got the correct combination, but cannot go further. Something with the outlet?

Nevertheless, I enjoyed it! Nice art, the atmosphere works well and feels thought-out well. There are some minor mishaps, but I've also made a point and click adventure during a game jam in the past, so I know how hard it is to keep everything consistent :) Good job!

Grab & Defend by fragileannihilator 2016-08-30T21:52:00

Oh crap, it is hard! I get lost with the keys all the time, and when I finally do what I meant to do, it's too slow to actually help me much - although it does become a bit easier with time, which makes me want to play again and again.

Good that you included that meet-the-controls-tutorial, it definitely helps :)

AnSynth Technology by xclementx 2016-08-30T21:44:00

TI-82 DODGE by Jimbly 2016-08-30T21:38:00

Pretty clean code for a quick game jam DOS game, congrats :)

01 by suppi 2015-12-15T23:51:00

Hmm, am I missing something in the second task?
I'm doing LOADIN, LOADIN, ADD, PRINT, HALT and entered two numbers in inputs window, but I only get "Input Error". Some basic debugging abilities (like showing the line where the error happenend) would be great to have :D

omg IT'S A TIE by Larzan 2015-12-14T22:57:00

Hah, looks for me that after difficulty adjustments it's too damn hard :P Loved the theme interpretation :D

Continuous rebind by lkpridgeon 2015-12-14T22:51:00

Nice idea! A bit confusing interface, could use more work.

Growtye by Goutye 2015-12-14T22:07:00

Very cool and well done! Aesthetically pleasing, nice music and solid gameplay.

Can't wait for Love2D version, as this one sometimes crashes :(

Puff Enuff? by bitslap_ 2015-12-14T21:56:00

Confusing, but interesting - especially in graphics.

The Star War by eerongal 2015-12-14T19:26:00

Just when I wanted to quit it went to a boss fight, so I almost missed it! Glad I didn't :D

Lifenodes. by Remicy 2015-12-14T05:03:00

Love the art!

Hyperspace by dekart 2015-12-14T04:55:00

Level 7. Started kinda boring, but then became nicely challenging. Well done!

Arc by ChuiGum 2015-12-14T04:36:00

Wow, hard, will take me some time to feel good at it. Very clever idea!

Button Betting by torcado 2015-12-14T04:30:00

Interesting approach and fun minigames. Surprisingly challenging as well!

LD33 — You are the Monster (24)

Soup by JoshDBB 2015-09-15T00:31:00

R-ADIUS by MrTwister 2015-09-14T21:38:00

Mobs, Inc. by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-09-01T00:25:00

Level 91. Will return to it to try to make it better.
Really great entry!

Lardum by Grahhhhh 2015-09-01T00:04:00

Tu tu tu tu tuu tuu tuuuuu! :3

Eye-opening mechanic. May take some inspiration in my future games! ;)

Dude, Stop by Patomkin 2015-08-31T23:49:00

Dude, you are a monster.

The game felt buggy for me, sometimes doing stuff I already figured out was a bit hard. Also I'd switch the screen automatically after a second or two from winning - I kinda expected it and at times just waited for myself to click :P

Otherwise, amazing idea(s), nice drawings, I dig it!

There's Plenty of Fish in the Sea by kaype 2015-08-31T22:17:00

SO FRUSTRAAAATEEEED

But finally made it till the end \o/ Offset on the hitboxes was annoying as hell, but eventually managed to live with it. Checkpoints would be very, very helpful though :P

Gelan's Quest by rnlf 2015-08-31T19:28:00

Very strong message. A bit too-slow paced and could use some better puzzles, but nailed the mood and is really nicely done, especially in graphics. Good job!

The Trial of Tyrone Rex by Manky 2015-08-27T23:06:00

You're going to dino prison for making too funny 18-minute jam entry!

KITTEN KILLER! by Cryptix 2015-08-25T23:36:00

You, sir, are the monster.

Clouds interact with screen scrolling in a fun way though :D

You are the Hero by rotpar 2015-08-25T23:32:00

Player movements could be done better, but otherwise it's a surprisingly nice game!

Intergalactic Love Machine by Slothmachine 2015-08-25T23:24:00

All my social skills have been now replaced with a knowledge from this game.

I hope you know what you're doing!

Sales of a Deathman by superfluous 2015-08-25T22:52:00

I am the monster.

The Monster Way by Nomys_Tempar 2015-08-25T22:47:00

Hooked me till the very end - and there are still some achievements to unlock!

Derpzilla by FrozenCow 2015-08-25T22:38:00

Enjoyed it maybe a little bit too much :)

Doctor Happy by Newah 2015-08-25T22:33:00

Increasing level of difficulty would make it a very great game. Got bored at 53200 points and having cleaned up the queue :)

Corruption-5 by hexagore 2015-08-25T22:12:00

Kinda predictable, but still fun to play till the end. Very nice looks!

Underbed Monster by GagaPete 2015-08-25T21:56:00

Simple, yet effective, I dig it!
(although I can't really understand how it ends, I was kinda getting "Thank you for playing!" randomly each run)

i Have a Choise by DiscoFish 2015-08-25T21:50:00

I'm a cat and I can confirm this is how I spend my weekends.

Birdy Bridge by LastLeaf 2015-08-25T21:47:00

Eurovision: world domination through the power of song by Tijn 2015-05-12T00:04:00

The morning type by Liam :D 2015-05-03T20:46:00

I love how main menu works!

Hunger King by mentatzoe 2015-05-03T19:34:00

Got to 100 and got bored, could go much higher - there's nothing that stops you from pressing space repetitively and going left-right-left-right... making you basically immortal.

luddegodofpain by luddegodofpain 2015-05-03T19:25:00

Fun stuff! Somewhat clumsy controls made it even more fun. Looks really great, but it could use some better feedback when hitting enemies - now it felt like clicking left mouse button all the time and taking damage randomly.

DROP IT! by Null DIES 2015-04-26T22:21:00

Got 1828! Pretty fun!

attack/defense by wesley.laferriere 2015-04-26T20:49:00

Simple, yet effective. For an additional difficulty you could start prepending colors to the names - but not always the same ones as visible :D

the name of the game is grab by fserb 2015-04-26T20:41:00

Love the color feedback and different ghost mechanics. Looks really smooth!

Padilla's Pancakes by Borkleby 2015-04-26T20:38:00

Solid idea, some polishing of player feedback would be nice - also, it would be cool to have the bubbles appear not only on left/right position, but also in corners - so you know if you should go higher or lower floor.

Nail Gun Hero by rujo 2015-04-26T20:33:00

Do they really have to be able to shoot diagonally? :D
Nice shader BTW :)

Pillow Fiiight by BoiPichu 2015-04-26T20:26:00

My opponent jumped out of the room. He couldn't handle my pillow fighting skills :)

CurseMan by sbarrio 2015-04-26T20:20:00

Could make use of some way to defend and some mechanic that wouldn't promote constant curse spamming. Nice take on the theme anyway!

Hold Space To Fart by talecrafter 2015-04-26T20:07:00

I hope you wouldn't come up with this idea in real life :) Got to difficulty 6. Pretty fun for a fart game :D

Dischord by Wefiends 2015-04-26T02:40:00

Great mechanic! Not hard to grasp, but not easy to master :)

The Hand That Feeds by Skinny Jean Death 2015-04-26T02:26:00

Interesting concept, you should definitely work on it more. It could make use of some concept of health. A really solid entry!

The Rapture Vacuum Cleaning Madness by Ildfuglen 2015-04-26T02:19:00

Snowden Dickpics Simulator 2015 by lcarpentier 2015-04-25T23:28:00

Ahahaha :D
It's not "random dicks lelelel rotfl", it's about specific John Oliver interview with Edward Snowden. Mere idea of using that as a theme for "unconventional weapon" LD game is absolutely hilarious!

Breakfast Hero by pinkrobopanda 2015-04-25T23:24:00

Great take on the theme :D

I love it!

Unconventional Truth by Techblogogy 2015-04-24T21:36:00

It could make use of some less obvious logical puzzles (point-and-click adventure style), but it still turned up pretty well!

Shield Maiden by bitslap_ 2015-04-22T21:20:00

Really feels like an arcade game from 80s - with a learning curve of the arcade games from 80s ;D

Just One Banana by zakchaos 2015-04-22T21:04:00

Haha, funny little game. Catches the game jam spirit very well :D

Crystalline by TheMeorch 2015-04-21T23:47:00

Loved the game, feels really big, complete and well designed for a game jam entry. Great job!

Unconventional Cowfare by uber 2015-04-21T23:38:00

It sure needs more work and fine-tuning of details, but meh - it's a gamejam, and it definitely has that special gamejam spirit! :)

Caffeine Rush by Tommislav 2015-04-21T23:09:00

Interesting idea! Link to Linux version points to OS X one - easily fixable by replacing "osx" in the link with "linux" ;)

Drums of the Dead by plams 2015-04-21T22:58:00

Awesome and fun! Seems we got some of our ideas pretty similar :)

Work on GNU/Linux as well. Interesting "plot twist" :D

Tickle Ninja by crazyninjamofo 2015-04-21T21:26:00

Great seed for something nice, I really enjoyed it :)

The Spoon Anomaly by 2A1S 2015-04-21T19:02:00

Linux version doesn't work by default - you need to download https://raw.githubusercontent.com/opentk/opentk/develop/Source/OpenTK/OpenTK.dll.config to make it running (not counting the dependences - on Ubuntu it's libopentk1.0-cil, mono-runtime, mono-vbnc - would be good to mention it somewhere)

Terraforming Blues by jordinuco 2015-04-21T18:23:00
