The game has no challenge at the moment, but I understand that it is unfinished. try to work on it for some more time, you could end up with something worthwile
Wasn't able to launch the game. It says "MSVCR110.dll is missing"
The controls are a bit confusing at first (who uses z/x?). With more items and the ability to earn/spend money it would be a nice survival minigame.
You should have added some checkpoints, it is very frustrating to start from the beginning every time.
With more time you could have made a really nice platformer. For some reason I didn't manage to run the post-compo version...
Wow! You know what? At first I've had an idea to make a game about a crowd control tower that would affect people's emotions in some way, like in Strugatsky's "Prisoners of Power". But I failed to come up with anything interesting gameplay-wise and swithced to the emotional cannon.
So, as you see, we have similar views on the theme. I like your game: it is simple and feels complete. The graphics is an example of what you can achieve with minimal skills and effort. God job!
I managed to control the crowd without killing anybody but didn't see any special ending, just "imagine something better"
Nice mechanics! If you used it to create a full game with levels, upgrade system etc., I would play it.
Great music (not sure if it was made by you though), and the game in general feels pleasantly weird
The controls are a bit frustrating and I can't see any inconventional weapons here. The music is nice, though
Needs a bit more feedback. At first I couldn't figure out what to do.
Intersting mechanics
The controls are a bit clunky, still the game is not bad
Nice entry! Really liked the New Game+ functionality - it is a great way to adapt the game difficulty to players' skills and playstyle. The ending was also a pleasant surprise.
Кстати, именно ваш постмортем к игре предыдущего LD вдохновил меня поучаствовать. Спасибо!
Nice mechanics
The idea is quite simple and I can barely see how it fits the theme, but the implemetation is pretty nice.
2ConflictiveLabs
Sure, I will definitely continue the work
2Kyatic,
Thank you, I totally agree that the game lack some feedback and it is very hard for players to find out the connections between their actions and consequences. Probably I should add some hints. And yes, the balance is completely broken, It is the main issue here.
Yaroslav, thanks for advice. Actually, mechanics wise Gods Will be Watching was one of the inspiration sources.
"Time remainings" refers to the amount of actions a player can perform, not the actual time in seconds. So, removing this will result in removing challenge.
Dining Philosopher,
it is assumed that the player will find out how emotions affect characteristics by trial and error. Nevertheless, I understand that mechanics is not enough clear to understand and I'm going to improve it in post-compo version.
Dege, thanks! I will try to improve that aspect in the post0compo version!
Interesting mechanics!
I really enjoyed the music!
Great! This is probably the game I have spent most time playing
Pretty weird game :)
I was wondering if something is going to happen after I killed all enemies.. For some reason, that was a creepy moment
Quite weird and polished, great job.
Кстати, проверить слова в гугл транслейте не было бы лишним. "choise", "plaing"
Nice one, but why would I steal pies from all houses except the nearest one? You could fix this in an easy way: for example, pies from houses of different colors could give different amount of money. Or stealing 2+ pies at once could give 2x bonus or something like that.
Also, is there a way not to be poor in this gamne? :)
Great Zelda tribute and interesting mechanics! Though could be more polished and variative.
This is what a Ludum Dare game should be. Mechanics are very simple yet addictive. Would play this as a time-killer on smartphone/tablet.
Great! Is this possible to beat this game? I reached 100% and nothing happened, the bar just continued decreasing as always.
And let the player figure out what happens in your game, nobody wants to read those text tutorials. I just skipped them and figured everything out myself.
Cool one. Though the 1 bar loop is a bit annoying.
The metagame is even more interesting than the game! Good job!
Nice, but you should have also added some goals or milestones. Like, reach 100k and something happens. Because the game is not too hard. I quit playing at 100k points because this could last forever and nothing new happened.
Cool concept, but it is not clear for me what do skills 2 and 3 do
Beat it! Almost made me laugh
Nice mechanics! Poor Theodorus..
This may become a really interesting game if you add some more interaction.
Also, I tried to predict the outcome of battles just by calculating Enemy defence - my attack vs My defence - enemy attack. Was glad to see that it has more depth than I thought.
Lol, until the end I was thinking that this is some kind of post-apocalypse survival simulator :)
Nice environments. And yes, without your explanation it was not obvious for me what is the game about :)
Couldn't play, dropbox error 500
Please, add the ending subtitnes. I'm a non-native English speaker and it was hard for me to understand the synthesized speech without any accompanying text.
Why is audio 100% right panned?
Lol, on my first playthrough I thought I should smash all the cars. It would be more obvious
@KR-Eddie
At first it was significantly darker but I didn't like it and removed the filter. It's not a horror game, after all.
@Taldius
It's a boy xD
Love the physics! The chest is something like a black hole. Poor knights don't even want to get that to that chest, they're geting sucked in against their will.
Very, very cute game
Really nice music. I couldn't get over the first obstacle...
spent a couple of minutes trying to outjump it but didn't manage to do that:)
Great job, the game feels completed. Awesome music and great art!
I managerd to score 5200 and see the bonus picture.
By the way, I mentioned that my game is based on the same idea. You may check it out here:
http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-33/?action=preview&uid=49685
My antivirus blocks it...
This game is just awesome but it was barely playable on my rather old PC... Please, work on optimisation a little bit more! Otherwise 5/5 in almost every category
It took me a while to figure out how to play it correctly, but at last i managed to win! The time is 24:5
Very Lovecraftian, I liked it :)
Feels very polished!
#15. So, I used to play with toys as a child, then switched to videogames, then spent days in front of computer. Then... how the f*ck did I manage to find a girlfriend?! I wish that worked in real life!
But hey, I'm still 22, probably SOMETHING will happen between 23 and 25 :)
Great game, good luck!
Very nice. It's a pity that you didn't have time to make some audio. Also, the monologue text is a bit difficult to read (too small and disappears too fast)
The idea is cool, but I took me much time to figure out what to do. The "yes/no" remote doesn't have any audio-visual feedback so I didn't understand at first if cicking mouse buttons does anything at all. Also, the dialogue speed is too high.
So basically all you have to do in this game is to memorize the melody, which is not much of a challenge. But the visuals and mood are awesome, great job!
By the way, it was great to see somebody else make a game based on the same concept as I did (2 doors in every room, you must choose one)
Great mechanics, quite addictive! I think you shouild this port to the mibile platfroms, it is a nice time killer.
You should introduce the bouncy surface a bit earlier because If I understand it correctly, most players don't get past 60 seconds.
My record is 161 seconds.
One more note. The "instructions" section is overloaded with informatiuon. I tried to figure out the controls by reading tutorial but didn't understand nothing.
Then I just pressed PLAY and figured out everything in 3 seconds, just by pressing A/D. Playing it with one hand.
Impressive graphics and the intro music is just awesome!
Though platforming wasn't comfortable
I liked the possibility to win the game without killing anybody, so basically it becomes an "avoid obstacles" type of game. Also I got stuck in corners several times.
Cool controls and nice mood. I couldn't fidure out what to do with the spiders
Great art and music! Though it took me a while to figure out what do the stones actually do.
@joemid
Poor animation skills :)
@Javabot, that's strange...What browser are you using?
@blob, haven't heard of it
@MegaBrutal
I noticed it too, but it's a mere coincidence! But Vlad is probably a Romanian, so it totally makes sense.
I've beaten the game without knowing that I can switch forms... And then I read the tutorial...
The game freezed at 89900 :)
Wow, this 2.5D camera tilting gives it a flavor different from other platformers. The quality is superb. For some reson, if i use ctrl button to shoot, the game crashes at certain point. This doesn't happen when shooting with space, however.
Great art, music and jokes. The game is a bit too long, it's possible to collect the necessary amount of resources in way shorter period of time than it is given. So I filled my hut with stuff and waited until the end and.. nothing happened. I died.
Quite addictive. This would be a perfect fit to mobile platforms.
Nice sounds and music. I found it a bit difficult to place the 3rd stone in a row because the slave driver is walking back and forth and the time gap when he is changing the direction is too little
I like games of this type. Nice and clean implementation. Though it seemed a bit hard to me, I barely made it past day one.
For some reason the game site does not load...
Nice puzzles. At first I thought that all you have to do is just walk and collect things but then puzzles became harder and took time to solve them
Also liked how you managed to create the right mood with such a minimalistic soundtrack
Wow, this is definitely unoque. When I saw the screenshot tumbnails at first, I thought that it is a game about some battles in a cup of coffee, viewed from the top :)
I also encountered a bug - the door thing and the enemies just didn't spawn
*unique
@Gipzo
1) If enemy is attacking the wall - it is possible to kill him easily even with a log! It is easy once you master the controls.
2) 0_0 No, you actually can't shoot through the wall... It is a bug, probably
@Strike
Thanks for valuable feedback. I'll consider it and make changes to the game.
1)Log = both fuel and weapon.
2) You actually can use fireworks effectively even on vawes 1 and on... since you are good with controls. I probably shound not have introduced players with fireworks this early in the game.
@Cawrtz
Thanks for feedback.
1)The fireworks are long-range weapons, you can't kill enemies which are more than halfway to the wall with it, I made it on purpose. Log, however, is a universal weapon, it can kill enemies at any distance. There's also TNT, which is best for destroying crowds standing in front of the wall.
2) In fact, there's no "distraction time" with candies, it's the amount of candies inside the box. More enemies eat faster :) I'll add a bar displaying how many are left.

In new version:
- New tutorial
- Waves 1-3 rebalanced
@invader
You probably didn't notice the "post jam version" inscription at the bottom of the screen :) The original 72h version is not polished at all.
Yes, I live in Kiev. It probably would be cool to participate in a local LD event, never done that before.
A mechanical dragon terrorizing villagers and stealing their gold - cool idea. I came to a conclusion that there's no need to fly any further than the closest village, just hover over it and spam the space button. It would be more logical if you made a certain limit of gold which can be dropped by each village every day. Also the presence of weapons and enemies made me think that I can attack those outposts and I was confused when pressing space button did nothing to them.
Also liked the looping steam engine sound - my game features it too, but yours is much more calm and relaxing, mine is irritating. Did you record it yourself?
And finally, writing is very good, you must be either a native English speaker or a professional translator.
Cool Idea. I figured out the mechanics quickly, but I thought that the machine will be ready immediately after all 4 indicators turn green. Only after a while I noticed those blue lights...
Btw, what's the point with Atari and coal? Is it some joke from the 70s?
I used to blow into my gameboy and Dendy (NES clone popular in CIS countries) cartridges too...
Very polished game. Love the upgrade feature. I've even managed to break the worlkd record - mine is 43.08. Although I don't think that it will last long :)
And the track design is a bit confusing - I was stuck several times on my first playthrough. You should make the path more obvious to follow.
So the only thing that I learned is that I need to collect energy. But I didn't find out how to use it properly :)
Also the controls felt a bit strange. Like when I press WASD, I move 45 degrees clockwise from where I need to.
Cool mechanics and the sounds are hilarious. But it is unclear to me how to replace bombs. They stay at their places even after I press the restart button.
Looks and sound great, but I didn't quite understand the idea behind the scene transition mechanics: I walk to the left/right and suddenly the scene changes. Why?
I noticed an interesting solution: the farther you point the gun, the faster bullets fly. Is it intended or you made it by accident?
Also, restart button doesn't work
Awesome mechanics! I liked the indirct control concept. And the graphics are pretty.
Though it was a bit unclear to me what items I can interact with. Perhaps you could highlight hem in some way.
It tok me a while to figure out how to play it. The mechanics are interesting and the presence of enemies makes the game much harder (the second level was a challenge for me). Could be nice if there was a way to restart the level other than pressing F5 :)
Nice game. I don't exactly undertand the purpose of limited ammo. What should I do once I run out of it?
So, I've beat the game just by quitting the apartment at the beginning? Is it some kind of message? i.e. "To fight your social phobia just leave your damn house"?
Looks gorgeous. The mechanics remind me of GTA Online bike minigame.
I tried but didn't have enough patience to make it until the end :)
The music is nice
Loved the intro. Humor and graphics are nice, but the game itself was unlpayable for me for some reson. When it starts, I can see the room and my character, but he doesn't move (lmb does nothing). After a while the screen goes black.
@FisherG
The complete playthrough takes about 30 seconds :)
Sorry, I spent 90% of time making sound and graphic assets. This results in absense of gameplay.
I'm not sure if I completed the game or not (I kind of stuck in a time loop)
It would be nice if the game was scaleable. The font is very small.
Overall it is nice
Loved the soundtrack. Nice game overall, though I felt like the difficulty curve is a bit random (is there any at all?) Several times I encountered a situation where the crash was inevitable be cause all the lanes were occupied. But it's still a great result for Compo Hi-score 1120
FIFTY-FIVE UNDERSCORE MAXIMUS UNDERSCORE FIFTY-FIVE
It took me a while to understand the concept (initially I thought that the ghosts are just a visual thing - like in some racing games), but at some point I finally understood the mechanics and appreciated it :) Nice and polished game, the implementation is vely clean. As a fellow Construct user, I wonder how are the ghosts programmed...
The funniest game for me so far :) I wish there was more gameplay
This is probably the most well executed game that I've played so far. It's amazing that you managed to do this within 72h. Totally loved the audio & social features
I reached level 3 I guess but eventually gave up - it felt a bit too repetitive. Though I liked the interface and I wonder what happens if you collect more of those stones
The game made me think about how much time I waste on stupid things. 4th wall broken, well done
I've managed to get out of the house without keys :) Just throw the table out of the window. overall I enjoyed throwing everything and making a total mess
I really love the idea since I'm into resource management games. Reminded me The Gods Will be Watching a bit. Though it's a bit hard to play since there is little feedback on what stats are affected by each place you visit. It would be nice if all the numbers were visible right away.
A very well executed game. I felt like the best strategy is to let the passengers go and just ride without slowing down. No matter what I did the score was always in the 3500-3700 range. And also it's a pity that the level is so small, It feels a bit repetitive through time and also I got some motion sickness :)
@fabula-rasa & everybody else, sorry for all the bugs, the game is kinda broken and goes completely nuts after one session - like, some items & states reset - and some not. By the way, the trap does not kill the spider - it only stuns the beast. then you have to figure out how to finish him :)
@radow thanks for your feedback! We'll see what can be done with that issue with the soider getting stuck. Also, there is a fullscreen option, you just have to enable it in the settings menu (can be accessed from the main menu).
As for the sink - well, the original intention was to give the player multiple solutions for every step needed to defeat the enemy. However, we've cut a lot of objects and the sink in the only alternative option that survived until the release. You can use it to get water from the well, it just needs some fixing up. On paper it sounded like a faster option that required more effort - 3 seconds to fix the sink and 4 seconds to pour some water into the bucket, whereas it takes 15 seconds to use the well. But we placed the wrench too far from the sink and there was no time for balancing and playtesting, so in the end, seems like the player has no benefits from getting water from the sink...
