Wow, this is brilliant and certainly unexpected! hahaha.

Wow, this is brilliant and certainly unexpected! hahaha.
Interesting concept, I didn't quite realize what was happening when I fired the missile for the first time, maybe an overlay on the screen? But I guess I should have worked it out from the title! I would love to see an expansion of this idea.
Overall a really solid game :) I liked the graphics and the voiced sound fx. Also I liked the way elements were introduced early so the level progression felt smooth and I felt like I was learning something.
This is really well polished, an interesting and pretty fun too! I need to go rest my mouse clicking finger now!
This was really fun :) I love the way the pianos fall apart and I really like your art style. It takes a bit to get used to a good piano dropping rate but I like that design feature because it means spamming pianos doesn't really work.
Pretty fun game, im a bit of a slow typist though haha. Sometimes the enemies word gets lost behind the speech bubble though.
An interesting concept, I was not expecting the angels! I liked the music at the beginning would have loved some ambiance to set the mood in the main part of the game :)
Music and Sound!!!!!! :) Pretty fun though.
Cool concept! My advice would be to simplify the graphics, although I might be a bit bias on that one :) Also I like the title, it rolls off the toungue!
Overall a very solid game really enjoyed it :) My feedback comment would be make the planets explode and make the screen shake when they do! Or maybe thats just my style I don't know haha. There is a lot of potential here, could have some really cool slower physics too!.
Wow, just wow. What an incredible game. I had just come from playing a lot of action packed games to this and I have to say I am astounded at how you made me feel. I hope one day I will make a game that evokes emotions as strongly as your game. It felt very strange to be the dog and I think it made me empathize with it, I don't think I have played a game that has changed my perspective so much in a long time.
I pretty much agree with the past comments about movement speed and level design. I like the minimalist aesthetic and the destruction was cool too! Great voice over, it presented an interesting possibilty of a dystopian future I liked how the numbers gave a feeling of insignificance. Well done! :)
A well executed entry. I like your art style and a very cool idea! In terms of feedback I would say you could do with having less difficult platforming on the first level and make it more about the main mechanic. Or maybe you can solve it using that too? Anyway I can see this idea going far!
Wow this game is hard! i'm going to keep trying though :)
This is really really good! Graphics are on point with a consistent style. needs more particles :) ! My First Ludum dare too, I feel ya on the stress front hahaha.
I enjoyed the challenge, those wolves were hard to catch! :) Cool modeling style!
Love the art, game play is pretty fun too I especially like the rocket feet enemies because they really hard to kill. Well executed overall. :)
Thanks everyone for the feedback! @bnhw Okay I will factor that in to the post compo version! @DKoding The idea was to make it as simple as possible but maybe I oversimplified it! I will try a prototype with separate controls.
Also @DKoding I think I made it too Hard at the start introducing two elements at once, I am going to ramp the difficulty up more slowly in the post compo version.
@internetpaulicy Thanks, that really means a lot :) The track is on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/leo-mahon/a-nunconventional-weapon-soundtrack-ludum-dare-32-unmastered I personally think it sounds best in game though, if you need music for a game at some point drop me a line. Doctor Dropper was fun and I love your art style! If I am going to fix the seams bug and a cityscape is a good idea!
@Matsuki Thanks :) I'm thinking of having the game start with just spikes so it gives the player a chance to get used to the jumping. Type Comander art is also V.Cool, im a sucker for minimalist art as you might have guessed!
Great sound and music! That was the first thing I noticed. Also the art is good. The gameplay works fairly well, I found it difficult at first but then I realized I need to hold s in order to bounce off the enemies. If I was to suggest an improvement it would be to zoom out so you can fit the whole level on one screen. Again audio is solid.
Wow, this is really nicely polished!Love the way the menu is a hatch :) Great entry!
The scenery and ambiance is really good and the game-play is pretty fun :) If I had to suggest one improvement it would be not to have to click the dialog because I had to take my hands off the keyboard between playthroughs. Overall a good entry though!
Fun game! nice interpretation of the theme. Add some sound, a reset button and a level selection menu and it could be a complete game. I enjoyed the strategy element.
So damn scary. You really feel the shape shifting, it actually made me squirm. Great mood!
*Potential Spoilers*
"Like a candy store on fire" Great story telling and I love the theme (my game is also Noir themed) but I think you nailed the theme down a bit better than I did. I also love those hard boiled types, love the humor of that protagonist.
Crashes on launch on Ubuntu 14 with OpenJDK-JRE 7 (Java 1.7) Stack Trace: http://hastebin.com/wokolenici.avrasm Fresh install on a virtual machine.
Cool idea and a fun strategy game. Shame there is no sound as it would add some extra feedback to make the game easier to learn. Animations are great and so is the art style in general.
Great fun and satisfying too. Found the satisfaction meter to be a little broken but still had a blast.
Lovely shaders / effects. I love a bit of bullet hell. Making it hard to see mechanic was really cool.
Great Atmosphere, the music and art blend well. I found the movement compelling too.
Fun once you get the hang of it, very very difficult though. Purposefully not matching the shape does not come naturally although I know the other way around would not be representative of how real anti-bodies work. I Enjoyed the music, sick riffs. And the facial expressions added massively to the mood, also it wouldn't be half as good without everything pulsating!
Great fun, loved adding modules and placing them strategically. Would be nice if modules broke off instead of the whole ship exploding. Game play was still very good though.
Hilarious, great art and mood, animations were impressive.
Excellent game, really enjoyed the narrative. Now if you will excuse me I need to call my dad.
Great fun! Like the art and the music was pretty good too. You seriously need to fix the mouse thing though! Its very confusing.
Simple and fun. Could do with checking the level is winnable first though! Maybe write an AI to play it and run it through the maze before its presented to the user. I love a bit of procedural generation though!
Great concept. Very challenging at times but enjoyable. Good job!
Fun game with good graphics. The game play was well tuned and although the blacksmith thing took some getting used to. Would be nice to be able to go to the shop when you die rather than from the main menu. Overall a great entry.
Interesting concept, would be good with auto fire so you don't have to mash space. Like the sounds.
Amazing art work. Really hard with a mouse! Had to learn to balance getting the shape perfect and doing it quickly. Would like to see where this goes next :)
Liked the concept. Took a while to grasp but was a lot of fun. The sound was great especially when shapeshifting!
Love the style. The graphics are fantastic! The sound complements the game nicely. Well done :)
Very peaceful and relaxing game. Love the graphics and the atmosphere. The level design was really good but I got stuck after learning Pheonix and needing to activate a mushroom, I didn't know how to turn the bird back to the gray version. I would have tried again a few times but starting from the beginning again every time was too much frustration for me. I do have a shot attention span though! Took me away to another place for a bit.
We had a similar idea! Mine was 2D though. So obviously 5/5 for theme ;) I liked the graphics and the blur effect around the edges. Like my game the problem is it gets hard reaaaaly fast. Overall a top entry!
Really strong game play, its hella addictive! I appreciate the compliments on my playing ahaha, reminds me of Halo or Quake killing sprees.
Nice, complete design and mechanics. So cute when she cries.
Too slow paced! Liked the idea though. Good concept. Liked your use of the theme!
This is sick! Love the art. The art is amazing! The game works really well and is genuinely fun. The rounds could be a bit shorter as I found the first few easy and took a while for difficulty to ramp up! Still fantastic work. One of the best i've seen entered.
Love the art, the controls could have been just a little tighter though. Sets a very interesting mood. Oh and the shape-shifting mechanic works like a charm.
Great Fun! Easy to learn and very funny. Would like to see a version with even more mechanics but for an LD entry this is really good.
Great Mood and art. I got very lost! The lipstick mechanic was very cool and I enjoyed marking out where things were.
The camera shake is a lot but I would not change it because it adds to the mood!
Right in the feels. Really enjoyed your writing, especially the bit where *SPOILERS* The witches iron balls move towards your heart.
Charming game! Cant think of anything to fault.
Hilarious! Liked the way he bends his legs and the mechanics we solid.
Oh Wow, that was amazing! I love how the crowd sings along to the song, really seals the mood. Very hard but I enjoyed failing just as much as winning. I have to say I was not expecting the audio to be so great given that you were using Kevin Macleod music but I was definitely proven wrong!
Really enjoyed the puzzles and I like your sense of humor! Would be interested to see what game mechanics you could add to make it less calculable. I like how the pause menu is Mr. Purrgalar's watch :)
Love it. The graphics are really good. That water is super cool and the lighting and the pixel art and everything really. Strong puzzle element that had me hooked and was the character dancing to the music?? haha.
Would love to see more story.
Overall fun and well executed.
Nice art style. Unfortunately my browser scrolls down when I press space so I had to keep scrolling back up. Well done on trying javascript! Brave to try an new language for LD. Also Cliffhanger ending?? I want to know that old mans secret.
Ooooh Pico 8! I love the pico 8. Been meaning to make a pico 8 game for a while.
Like your graphical style and the overall feel is great.
Why can there not be one dual purpose interaction and inspection button? I found it confusing when to press both but maybe thats just me.
Also what am I meant to do with the ***SPOILER*** teapot?
Really excellent pixel art and funny game. Never thought I would enjoy cleaning toilets!
Crisp is the word that comes to mind when I play your game. Really fun innovative puzzle element. I had an aha moment when I realised only Huge can shift the crates. Graphics are great too!
Would be so cool with some calm music.
Press A to encourage hahaha.
Fun game, excellent pixel art, I love how santa waddles its really satisfying.
Wow, i'm very impressed. I like the timed attacks so you can pair a glass cannon with someone to protect them.
Also tinder for questing using a stone iphone is hilarious. Strong on all fronts. If I had to pick something to improve I honestly don'y know what I would choose.
A touching game with characters that I felt for.
**SPOILERS**
Only problems were a few graphical issues. The maze was rather confusing because I could not initially see the boundaries. Also, there were technically no trees without flowers around ;)
I like how we got to find out about the personal struggles of the characters, for example Tamiko whom I initially wrote off. I was reminded that we all are deserving of love even if not everyone can be helped, i.e those who struggle most to love themselves. Sometimes we must resign control and accept whatever reality we are faced with.
On a lighter note I liked how you swapped east and west, that was a fun little world expanding device. (8/8 would eat apples again) Oh and the farmer dialog was hilarious.
**End Spoilers**
Overall a great game, very much worth a playthrough.
