Windows download ran just fine in windows, simple but it works! It should be easy (construct is html 5 right?!?) to do a web export, I would throw that up and you will get more people able to try it. If you need hosting space just le me know :)
Can't run it in here on 32-bit. Sorry!
cool simple music!
This is different for sure. It's a bit of tower defense set in a fairy woods (where the fairies, while looking friendly are quite cruel in a traditional manner). Weird.
It's OK but pretty confusing, might want to put that intro text in the start or something.
This game is quite fun. However it's a bit difficult to have the travelers go where you want. The graphics look childish at first but they are very coherent and very fitting with the mood of the game, so great work on that!
@stevenlr I like childish =)
Thanks for the kind words y'all ^^
Not quite sure what's going on here, nothing woulf happen most of the time when I clicked, and it felt that no matter what I did I couldn't redirect the flow of travellers.
Nice and simple game, although I'm not convinced that the demons were causing the villagers to get eaten! Good BG music - well done!
Hard to figure out what to do. "Victims" goes up even if the travellers don't change direction.
@Gaeel
For some reason the web version works better in the way that the energy orbs are placed on separate locations around the fairy. You need three orbs to summon a monster =)
The villagers will only change paths if they're scared enough and have reached a branching path.
@colludium
If the monsters aren't eating the villagers... what are they doing? O_o
@Fenaer
You sure they didn't use one of the different paths lower on the map?
Probably wouldn't have realized that you could scroll the map if it wasn't for the comments :P. As already mentioned it was pretty hard to know when you could summon more enemies too (windows version).
Could have used some more depth, but at least it's pleasant to look at.
Very funny. The graphics are simple, sure, but they fit their purpose. The game mechanics is a bit more obscure. It's difficult to understand when a traveler will change his path.
It took a while to figure out what was going on. I hadn't realized that fairies were quite so malevolent.
Cool audio and nice art work.The theme was also good but the gameplay was a bit to hard.With some improvements it could be really funny.I cant kill more than 20 victims ;)
The graphics style and the audio are pretty cool, I thought that the noise that the travelers make when they reach the destination as well as the monster's eating noise was funny.
It would be helpful if the fairy had some energy to start with, I found it hard to stop the first traveler because I didn't have enough energy to place down a eye-splitter for the first ~5 seconds, and by the time I had placed it down, they were already past all three monsters.
Classic mechanic (almost tower defence).
I feel the energy regeneration/level is missing some visual feedback for the player to understand where we are standing.
It also felt like no matter where/how many eye thingy we spawn, did not really matter in the end. The game is perhaps lacking a bit of strategy/tactic, or I missed it.
As mentioned in other comments the art style is pretty childish, as is the sound, it did not appealed that much to me on this specific game.
Congratulations on making a 48 hours entry !
This MS Paint cacophony is truly great.
I mean I get relaxed by playing stuff that's not so f*cking overdesigned (no offense). Instead the focus is a fun premise and good gameplay.
I mean this something that should go further, like a big fist up AAA devs asses...!
It's a bit hard and confusing, but the gameplay is there. Great job on finishing something, hope you'll keep working on a tower defense with this base :) !
Thanks again for the kind words =)
I understand that some parts are confusing. Some gameplay elements I hade planned didn't make it in the submitted version and others spawned through the need to complete this quickly.
Still, I learned plenty of new tricks that I can use for other projects in the future =)
Needs a bit more feedback. At first I couldn't figure out what to do.
What a funny game!
I like the graphics and audio. They're not a masterpiece, but they don't have to. A fairy that's destroying the world with the method exploiting human errors is also a great thing. The background music is perfect.
Mechanics are neat, because unlike other "tower-defenses" you build. You kill. You get. You build. But they're destroyed over time, which makes it very fun for this little work. I wish there was some more feedback, like when you have enough energy or when a human is scared.
Maybe some little balancing, I mean is there a way to get the first human into being a victim?
Oh and the stream was awesome. Bra arbete(Great work in swedish)!
Thanks ^^
The game does indeed need more feedback and visual ques for the player. The amount of new tricks I poured into this did grant the side effect of me not having a clue about how I should fix some details that didn't behave as planned. And no... it is likely not possible to turn that first human into a victim. That's really poor game balance from my part, but something I had to ignore because of the time constraints.
I'm glad you enjoyed the stream. I've never developed anything and streamed at the same time before so that was an interesting experience for me as well ^^
