Interesting mechanic

Fun little game. I really like the graphics style. Changing up the same room between levels is a really neat mechanic. Nice work!

tutti-ankka 2016-12-12 17:47

I like the simple graphics and the concept of room changing by pulling the levers. Very nice!

Great game and interesting use of the theme. My only complaint is that the controls felt a little slow. Otherwise I thought it was awesome!

anatolat 2016-12-12 18:28

Very nice graphics & style

yami-no-tenshi 2016-12-12 18:34

Funny little game, I liked the gameplay, was not too easy nor too hard. Very smart way to keep everything in one room !!!

Nice game. I don't exactly undertand the purpose of limited ammo. What should I do once I run out of it?

ziege 2016-12-12 19:42

Thank you for feedback everyone!
I edited the description to make the controls a little bit clearer.

The limited ammo thing is probably a mistake that was made and that is to be learned from. The idea was to add a bit of gameplay, but given how enemies work, it doesn't make a lot of sense. Oh well.

Really good!

Nice but a bit hard!

Fun game ! Great Job .

Cute story, and a fun game. I liked the 8-bit art and all the animations. Very neat. I didn't get any sound on my Windows 10 machine in Chrome, so I feel like I missed out on that. The switches that swapped layouts was a nice touch to keep it in one room. Felt like early Atari games. Nice work.

Good use of the theme and the pixel art is good. The room with 4 enemies got me a few times. Good job!

krasse 2016-12-15 20:10

Very nice game. I like the graphics a lot. Pretty cool game mechanics as well.

ganon 2016-12-15 20:11

Cool game! Graphics well and the sound ties in well with it. Took me a few tries before I got the hang of it, but it was pretty fun! Well done

volcanicgiraffe 2016-12-15 21:26

Fun and simple

eruiz00 2016-12-17 18:02

Good game! Great graphics, liked the shoot effect, interesting maze esque for maintain it in one room. Well done guy!

sebbernery 2016-12-18 11:13

A little hard until you remember the room configuration associated with buttons. Very good game !

jimbly 2016-12-18 20:59

Challenging for me! Wasn't able to survive past getting one of the keys. I liked the style and pulling levers to change the "room".

stuffedgravy 2016-12-18 22:01

The room-changing animation is pretty wonderful. I don't love the way bullets work (it seems like my bullets hit walls or miss way more than the enemy's) but it worked well enough! I do like the reload mechanic a lot. The fact that there were static rooms took me a bit to even notice, and even after that it was annoying to potentially go back a room when you meant to go forward with the levers. Overall, it was an ok game.

phocker 2016-12-21 15:24

really liked this game. the rooms changing were clever, and of course it is always fun to save the girl. controls were a little slow, but overall, well done.

Randomly recalled your old sector.33 game and figured I'd check out what you made this time around...

Another interesting entry with slick style!

I played like 20 times, and I got both keys and nearly got back to my sweetheart that last time, but I couldn't quite pull it off.

I think this is really solid but would have been great with just a bit more feedback. The animations and everything look really good, but the game doesn't do much to tell me the most important facts relating to the gameplay: when I get shot, when my gun is ready to shoot again, and when I successfully hit an enemy. If each of those three had some kind of audio/visual cue I think I would have had even more fun with it. On a lesser level, I could have stood to have the bullet path line be a different shade for the enemies, and maybe a bit more obviously directional... maybe even being RED after it passes through someone on a hit?

But those are just minor nitpicks on a strong entry. Slick style as always, and a cool action game with a nice take on the theme... good job!
