Thanks for the kind words everybody. My wife is doing well, for those that expressed good wishes.

levelone by dietzribi 2016-12-30T18:44:00

Really funny. I appreciated all the jokes, and I loved that the bell came back. Very well-conceived and well-made, with a perfect ending. The platforming level was way hard.

Live to Die Again by FisherG 2016-12-13T00:34:00

This was fun! A little hard to play on the touchpad on my laptop, but I got it worked out. Got to 56 kills, but it was getting old at that point so I switched to hammer and died. The music is energetic but repetitive. The art is simple but charming and fun. Gameplay is smooth and worked well, and I like the extras like the corpses and shell casings and tears in the floor.

Space Junk by imphenzia 2016-12-15T19:23:00

Excellent entry - graphics are really amazing (I see from your time lapse that you even made the font) and the game looks great. The main character animation and look is very smooth and great looking. Music and sounds are fun and appropriate. Humor in the death messages. Some balance issues (not major) - some plays I could not get any oxygen in the time allotted, so it would just run out after 16 seconds. I think one play there just never was one (or maybe it was behind a box) - others, I just couldn't get it. It was also a surprise that every edge killed me, although I got used to that. So, set pretty hard - a little bit of a gentler learning curve might have helped, but no big deal. I'd like to talk to the workspace engineering team for the ship, and especially those two guys behind the glass who are no help at all. Very impressive work - nice job.

One Room Battle Arena by Turrus 2016-12-16T20:40:00

Couldn't play without controller. Looks nice enough though. Maybe you could mention that you need a controller in the description, so people don't waste time downloading if they can't play.

nO mooRe by frittatenbank 2016-12-17T06:23:00

That was disturbing. For me, not in a satisfying way. Interesting puzzle concept, though. Right-click to use things kept creating pop-up menu - maybe I was doing the controls wrong. Audio track was neat.

Space Mail Room by StarshipTrooper0589 2016-12-14T18:24:00

Interesting, and executed well. Not that fun, but it's simulating something not that fun. The names were very cute and clever. A pleasing look to it, also. Nice work.

BossRoom by Doomdad 2016-12-13T20:23:00

This was really fun. Reminded me of SmashTV, like a lot of the entries in this LD. Cool graphics, fun idea. I was able to survive the wave as the middle reptile guy, but I always died as the bear, and the skull was super hard. Got 10,800 on my best run. Graphics were fun (I liked the different sized guys). It would have been helpful if they'd responded in some visual way to being hit - I wasn't sure if what I was doing was helping if they didn't die. The music was fine, but didn't seem to fit the game well. Definitely one room! Fun game, nice work! I loved the different monsters to play, very fun.

One Cock at The Top by kn2322 2016-12-13T06:18:00

Instantly crashes in Windows 10. Console shows, then window blinks, then done.

One Night by freyby 2016-12-13T15:42:00

Fun, and complete. Auto-equipping the weapon you buy would have saved me many minutes of frustration. Also, the aim-shoot thing would have been better as just click-to-fire, I think. Gloomy music shifting to rock beat for combat was fun, and the graphics were simple but appropriate. Nice job!

Vespias: Battle for the pentacle by Xwilarg 2016-12-13T06:03:00

This was neat. A little hard to figure out, and with an American keyboard the key layout is really weird. But I fought a whole battle as the green guys and won. I noticed that some enemies were a lot more susceptible to my arrows than others, but I didn't know which was which. If I'd understood the weaknesses and attacks better, I might have been able to get more of the complexity. Clean-looking graphics, fun music (although only in menus), no sound effects that I could hear otherwise. Fun game, nice work.

Glitch Room by lepatryckduffy 2016-12-13T22:34:00

Interesting, but a couple of weird spots. As others have said, the ending is unclear. Also, the text bubbles can get glitched if you move to the side too fast after they start. Interesting concept, and fun dodging. Keys might be a hair too sensitive for my taste. Nice music. Well done!

LocusLudi by AcuadoyStudios 2016-12-15T19:24:00

I'm glad you are getting into this. I'm sorry, I don't have time to download an IDE and compile it, but good luck continuing to learn programming.

Exit The Room Update 1.1 by Artsicle 2016-12-12T13:34:00

Not much to do here, although there's a little bit of a cookie-clicker vibe on the first game - I was wondering what the optimal ratio was, but I stopped after the 5000-point upgrade. But, it works and does something, and fits the theme.

Hanabira no mairu by RomainJ&AnneCe 2016-12-16T22:31:00

Wow, my finger is tired. I got 664. Stupid gophers were the biggest problem. I love the atmosphere and environment, and the artsy concept. Graphics and music track were great, too. Game was a little dull for that long, but maybe it was trying to be meditative also. Nice work!

Dethroned by Devastus 2016-12-19T22:39:00

Very compelling, really fun, nice art, neat progression. Addictive despite its simplicity. Like others, I thought defending was way too hard and didn't give enough feedback as to whether you were doing it right, especially in comparison with attacking, where you had a lot of time to pick the right key. Also, above level 15 or so, you can get these "super" guys who have double or triple the HP of the regular progression. That was really frustrating, especially after level 35 or so when a guy will pop up with 600+ hp, and attack you seven times to kill you after you've been otherwise doing well. That part was super-frustrating. Music, sound, and graphics were all impressive, and I did play for a long time. Very nice work.

Nexus Qoph by hellfridge 2016-12-15T05:59:00

Sorry, looks cool, but I can't get this to my phone.

Tomb of Katmosis by Sarkriss 2016-12-13T05:22:00

Sorry, can't run linux

Shit Happens by vrojman 2016-12-13T22:44:00

Cool music. Hard to figure out the controls, but eventually I got it. I never seemed to earn much money - I'd get a few points, but then they'd rapidly sink to zero even though everybody had TP and was unplugged. It glitched on me a couple times too, as others have said. The art was neat, and the background music very cooo.

Hexachrome by hexachrome 2016-12-18T19:09:00

Mysterious, relaxing, cool vibe. I liked the subtle music and sounds. The gameplay got a little dull at the end - would it be possible to give you a faster orb as the rooms get bigger? Meditative and calm, visually simple but neat. Nice job.

Harmless Titan by oyoh 2016-12-13T22:27:00

Beautiful looking, clever idea, great sound and music, charming concept, fits the theme. A little hard to play, but it's so beautiful I don't much care about that. Very nice work.

American Life by headlein 2016-12-13T05:24:00

Holy crap, this is most of a gigabyte.

Bar Brawl by badtorse 2016-12-15T19:44:00

Cute idea. Very hard to figure out what part I'm supposed to play. Drag people to the wrong tables doesn't mean anything to me. The racial stereotyping was a tad uncomfortable, especially if that's meant to be the reason people are at the "wrong" tables. Nice music and sound.

Bruce, the escaping ant by pcmxms 2016-12-13T13:42:00

Controls were very challenging - I'm too old for a platformer without mid-air control, and the collision detection on everything was fairly unforgiving. I really liked the hand-drawn art style and the creativity in the puzzles, although given that dying required you to repeat a bunch of old stuff that was capricious and hard, I didn't get that far before giving up in frustration. I did play for 8-10 minutes, but I could never get the bug free from the web. Pretty tiresome. Music was cool and fun, instructions painted on screen neat, and the art style was really charming. Nice work.

Toddle Topplers by TheHighChairs 2016-12-13T13:52:00

Ridiculously charming and funny. I love the theme. I ended up getting inextricably buried by furniture and couldn't dig my way out. Having more of the furniture be "light" and more able to be bonked by jumping might help that - I noticed some pieces went flying when I hit them. Kudos for a two-player game also. Nice work.

Pong Plus by GameGrape Gaming 2016-12-13T04:22:00

Can't run this, or I'd rate it.

Pest Control by DoubtfulGames 2016-12-17T06:11:00

The game was fun - lots of these SmashTV style games in this particular competition. The gameplay was fun, although I think these games are most fun when it's actually possible to dodge all the enemies - not sure it was here, so you just got ground down eventually. A fun romp, though, with cute art and sound effects.

Abberbury by Splendidus 2016-12-16T20:28:00

Very cool visuals. Difficult to play - the block was hard to execute. The enormous jump height was unexpected. It would be great if you could disable the ballistae somehow. Really good locking, though, with wonderful sprite animations - your art team is amazing.

Jerodak's Ludum Dare Game by Jerodak 2016-12-16T05:41:00

Cool first attempt. I liked the different enemies with different art and attacks. The game felt fluid. The attack move took a while to happen, and the direction it would attack wasn't always easy to figure out - it might be better to make that more clear and directed right at the mouse cursor. Some sounds would make it cooler, too, and maybe some score so you could tell how you did relative to others. I did like the combo moves - very satisfying. Nice job.

General Room by jeroenwimmers 2016-12-14T00:33:00

Great game! This is really, really cool. The graphics, sound effects, music, and newsreel style are just really terrific. I had a problem once with armies being generated at the upper left corner of the screen, which led everybody to march up there. Not a big deal. It was a little tricky figuring out when I'd pick up and when I'd flick, too - I didn't figure out the pattern there, and just flailed until I got it. Love this game. Great work.

Callisto by zenmumbler 2016-12-19T07:27:00

All I get is a black screen with music. I waited for a long time to see if anything happened. It didn't.

Alone by Liam :D 2016-12-30T16:50:00

This is definitely evocative of the boredom of incarceration. As that was the intent, it's a success. The line artwork was neat - it would have been cool if the prisoner were drawn the same way or animated somehow. I think it would have been neat if there had been some way to interact with the cell, also, but I guess the point was not to be able to do anything. White noise sound and the cello music at the start were effective, and the subtle lighting changes were a cool touch.

The Wiggle Room by panurge 2016-12-21T23:19:00

Very funny. I found the controls a little limiting, but I didn't mind because it was silly. Sometimes you bounced around for a long time before coming into range. Fun concept, and I like the "scout for talent" with all the descriptions. Nice work!

Obelisk by Almax27 2016-12-13T21:56:00

Weird and totally cool. I had to try about five times to beat it. I liked the mysterious conversations - I wished there were some branches in the dialogue rather than just dead ends. The gameplay was fun - those little dudes are pesky, and positioning was very important. The music and sound was good, although the kind of soft jazz bit with the obelisk seemed a little out of place. Very fun, tremendous style, mysterious, and used the theme very well.

Turn the Lights On! by Outbreak 2016-12-13T15:33:00

Fun game. A little frustrating at first, because it was SOOO dark, but I got used to it. SPOILER: Didn't know you needed to check places multiple times, either - that was tricky. Music was appropriately gloomy, and I appreciated the humor in the text. And yes, Harambe.

Gentleman's Darling by ziege 2016-12-14T18:36:00

Cute story, and a fun game. I liked the 8-bit art and all the animations. Very neat. I didn't get any sound on my Windows 10 machine in Chrome, so I feel like I missed out on that. The switches that swapped layouts was a nice touch to keep it in one room. Felt like early Atari games. Nice work.

Flappy Beard by BloodJohn 2016-12-12T05:39:00

Terrific look, and great musical theme. The gameplay is pretty simple and doesn't seem to get harder over time. I had fun, though, and it was just happy giving these lumberjacks their food (even when it was a weird green burger). Nice effort, fun game.

The Legend of ROOMBA by limmmmm 2016-12-13T19:10:00

I liked this a lot. Got 55 on my second try. Controls were fun, and I figured out that arrows hurt me after a while. I wasn't sure what the bar at the left vs. the hearts at right were. I liked that you could recharge, and shove plants and stuff out of the way with repeated collisions. Neat idea, great looking, and perfect for the theme.

Twelve Days of Murder! by Capitals 2016-12-16T20:59:00

Intriguing idea. I had trouble figuring out how to use the light - I tried several times and couldn't get the light to go on. Sometimes the dialog bubbles were off the screen and half was illegible. I like the idea, and the one room thing works - just hard to follow in playing.

Duelist's Chamber by Piscythe 2016-12-13T19:05:00

looks really neat, but the web version would not load for me. Chrome on Windows 10. Progress bar stopped 70% through.

Puppertrator by NotExplosive 2016-12-13T06:28:00

Very cool - great art, nice details, the text was very funny. I had a little trouble following the puzzle logic from the clues, although I eventually blundered my way to the solution. Music was awesome. Plenty of humor in this world you created. Nice job.

KonMatch3 by sugarbyte 2016-12-14T18:10:00

Music and sounds were great. The patterns were hard to follow, because I think I didn't know what all the items were. Fun and interesting, but also confusing. Doesn't seem to match the theme that well. Might be helped by a tutorial level. I liked the art style, and it was fun - well done.

Stick Figure Animator [NOT A GAME] by thebmxeur 2016-12-13T13:58:00

Interesting and fun, and cool. Not really a game, as you say, although I had fun messing around, so that's the point of a game anyway. The controls were a little mysterious - if they had text tips it would help.

Phase Shift Respawn by awesomerex 2016-12-15T06:00:00

sorry, no gamepad

Mouse Trap by mrwillowb 2016-12-13T05:46:00

Cute, with charming art and a fun concept. Definitely uses the one room idea well and appropriately, better than many others. I killed 17 mice and gave up, because it became really repetitive. Sometimes mice escaped even though I had a trap set, and it wasn't clear why that was happening. The broom and swatter were fun, but there didn't seem to be any long term risk from those, nor was it hard to keep the place clean. Very clear and extensive instructions - that's a lot of interface work. Nice job. The music track was mostly annoying rather than adding to the game.

You shall not pass! by Givit Game Studios 2016-12-15T06:15:00

First game, I ran out of ammo and then couldn't do anything. No idea how to get more money, and the monsters were taking many shots to kill. Second game, tried to be more careful, make every shot count. Same result, basically. Some monsters seemed not to drop any money, or not nearly enough to cover the cost of killing them. 3rd try, even worse. One guy I shot eight times and got four dollars. No way to make that work. 4th try, game ended super fast. This is frustrating. 5th time, I actually earn some money, but door dies nearly instantly after a big ammo purchase. I finally buy other ammo. Can't use it until I guess correctly that mouse wheel changes weapons. Eighth game, I finally figure out that I start with some shotgun ammo, and it's way better than pistol. Wow.

So, game is fun, once you know that you can switch weapons with an undocumented control, and that you have some ammo for better weapons to start. Those would be things to tell people. I like the whimsical monsters and the animated coins and blood puddles. Music is a little heavy and loud for my taste compared to game sfx, but it's a match for the tension. Theme is cool. Controls mostly made sense, and game was smooth and nice looking. Good work.

Snapped by karlipoppins 2016-12-18T07:42:00

Wow, super creepy. I only got 6/20 clues before the story proceeded, so I'm not sure how much I missed. I was a little frustrated when I double clicked and the audio tracks stopped, and there didn't seem to be a way to restart them, so I missed some parts of the story. I liked the extensive voice-overs, and the scary part sure was scary. Don't want to say more to avoid spoilers. Very nice work.

Fracture by andrewjoy 2016-12-16T17:14:00

This was just tremendous. Really great. Evocative, mysterious, visually stunning, tragic, even a fun game as you tried to find a path to the memories. My favorite so far. Not exactly "one room," but I'll forgive it.

DISK by Kuality Games 2016-12-18T18:50:00

Beautiful graphics, nice sound, very smooth gameplay. I couldn't figure out if charging up my disk helped, and it was hard to keep alive while doing so, so I mostly just shot. Gameplay wasn't complex, but the visuals made up for that - very impressive for a short development time. I'd be curious how you got all the graphic elements done in that time. Very cool.

Tehos : Rebirth by Atmog 2016-12-30T17:07:00

Fun little wargame. The interface was a little confusing for me, but I eventually got the hang of it. The art was appealing. I think the spells and stuff weren't so obvious how to use. Fun game - nice job.

Hero Wardrober by Detocroix 2016-12-13T14:30:00

Very cool looking - nice models and artwork, best I've seen so far. I would have wanted a little more time to choose gear at least at the start. I played several games before I even got one person the right thing, and I still don't think I've figured out every match. It was also hard to hit the little boxes where the gear would attach, too - maybe just a general big box would be better. But visually very impressive, and totally charming when the corpses come flying back at your shop. Nice work!

Wifey I Needs Da Vodki by Red_Fan games 2016-12-13T13:30:00

Sorry, can't do Linux.

Tales of Sir Salamander by ZirconCode 2016-12-21T15:47:00

I hit the infinite fall bug within 15 seconds of starting, and then four more times. The color gate business was cool, although the controls and layout for the platform puzzle were clumsy (or I was), and I had a lot of trouble hitting the jumps, and when I failed, all the gates switched and I had to do a lot of re-setting to get it to work. I liked the music - good work.

Escapism by AViTT 2016-12-12T05:48:00

Really pretty looking, but I couldn't figure out what the heck to do. I walked down the same hall over and over, and sometimes there was a guy, and sometimes not. Not really sure what I was supposed to be doing. Occasionally I seemed to be holding a white cylinder. A little surreal.

Oath by asyzruffz 2016-12-13T13:29:00

Animation was great, especially as the eye beast metamorphosed and died, and also the creepy spider at the end. Gameplay was a little challenging at first, but then I realized the rhythm of the monster's shot, and that I didn't have to be facing it to use shield, and that I didn't even need to move other than jumping, and it got a lot easier - mechanical even. Having there be a little more complexity to play would make this better. Music was awesome and very appropriate. Ending (TBC) a tad clunky, but that's how this kind of 48-hour thing goes. Nice work.

The Hunter by tjmolinski 2016-12-18T18:57:00

Very creepy. I didn't expect the lights to go out. Thought the key-jangling was the hunter, not a key I could find. Walking in the dark isn't so fun, but I get that it's the point of the game. Nice work, nice use of stereo sound. Agree with others that "I" is a stupid key to start the game.

Ghost Brawl by n00basaurus 2016-12-14T18:42:00

Got 18 kills. Really fun music. Game's a little simple - took me a while to realize the ghosts are on two tracks, and once I did (3rd game) I did a lot better. The music is really great, as is the lighting and visual presentation.

Bubble Tea Cafe by urfbound 2016-12-21T05:19:00

This was fun, but a little frustrating to me on a couple of levels. The paddle wasn't fast enough to respond to the balls, and it didn't stop immediately when the key was lifted. That meant I missed a lot, and not because I was bad, just because the math didn't work out to make it possible to play. Also, the fact that the ball bounced off other balls meant that you could be taken out of a play because of chaotic interactions over which you had no control. I don't know how anybody has the control to try to land certain colors in certain glasses, although that was an interesting side game to play. But it was functional, and I managed to clear a level after 8 or so plays (and then immediately cleared the next one because there were so many balls around - very satisfying). I don't really see how it fit the theme of One Room. Good clean look, too, and you've obviously figured a lot of Unity out now, so your next one can be even better. Good work.

Storage by Steven Miller 2016-12-20T05:15:00

This looked totally cool. I tried for a long time to get something to happen, placing all the machines nearly everywhere, but I never got a box to come out. I am disappointed, because this looks like such a cool puzzle idea. The instructions weren't clear enough (to me) to get that basic level of stuff to happen.

Still hella confusing.

Square Roots by Weeping Rupee 2016-12-16T04:14:00

This is neat. Confusing at first, but I think I grokked it by a few plays in. I liked it. The computer voice is really funny. Not sure how it relates to the theme. I'd not do the installer (standalone didn't work for me). Nice work!

Total Eclipse of the Heart by FcValise 2016-12-13T15:15:00

Cute! I love the art style. The controls are difficult - the fluid running made it hard for me to figure out whom I was controlling, and then the four-way view was also tricky to understand. A clever challenge, but the mechanic seemed to get in the way of the game enjoyment a little bit. But a very fun concept, beautiful art, and the midi soundtrack from my childhood was appreciated. Nice work!

The Downtop Massacre: Pepper Invasion by aemiliu5 2016-12-13T19:02:00

Exciting, smooth-running shooter. Very basic enemies, and not a lot to do other than run backwards shooting them, but I enjoyed myself. I didn't really know the difference between the pepper-head guys and the others, but I assume it was health or something. Fun sounds and music. Nice work.

Roomckey by matiz982 2016-12-18T18:58:00

Yes, broken link still.

Frank Shatner in The Helmet of Destiny by ThatGuyMiniB 2016-12-13T06:14:00

Got to 131 kills. Fun game, some really neat visual effects (the particles on bullet impact, and when the lights went off and you fight by flashlight). Very much a Smash-TV feel. Music and sound effects were neat. Not a lot to the game - only one enemy with simple AI, and only two powerups, but still fun and neat looking. Props for the global high score list. What are the "Locked" features? Some of the voice clips were fun, too.

Death Dash by kepons 2016-12-16T20:53:00

Such a clever interpretation of the theme. Very cool, fun, but I couldn't finish. My room ran red with the blood of hundreds of me. Very nice job. Would be nice if I could have gotten a little bigger window.

Trump's First Day by jamioflan 2016-12-15T19:38:00

Clever and funny. Hard to execute some of the stuff, like shredding, or dealing with money, and I didn't know what to do with the policy proposals the visitors brought in. But it was elaborate, and the one room as the oval office was fun. Nice, cheeky sense of humor "Trump don't quit" :-). Good work.

FACE MAN by Claw 2016-12-13T15:56:00

Very fun and clever. Didn't understand the goal at first, but the number at the top went up, and I was having fun. Cool music, very nice graphics, and a quirky, unusual theme. Very neat.

Don't Stop Me by breno 2016-12-16T17:30:00

Wow, great game. Really, really hard. I got frustrated when I'd finally uploaded the program and then died before end. Had to keep playing 15 more times to actually finish. Very cool; good sounds, neat graphic style, perfect adherence to theme. Very good work.

Squiddy by Tribbs 2016-12-13T05:55:00

Really fun! Also, very hard. I love losing tentacles as a way of showing life remaining. Beautiful and consistent art style, including the lighting. Great music. Very neat. Some hazards were offscreen, so it was tough to know they were coming or to react to them.

Mr. Barbel VS Hell Vise by onixowl 2016-12-13T05:34:00

I enjoyed this. Didn't realize there was a time limit at first, so got crushed a few rooms in. My second game, I gave up at 46 rooms - my crusher was off the screen on the top, and I was getting repeated level layouts, so I figured I'd seen it all. Interesting game - I think the rotating world thing is cool, but there wasn't much more to it than that. It would be neat if there were some effect other than just the controls that changed when you were rotated - e.g. sliding blocks or something. But it worked, looked neat, and had an interesting and appropriate music track.

Raise The Roof by CMLSC 2016-12-12T05:44:00

I can't do anything once the game starts. I've tried clicking on all the icons at the bottom, and I can't add anything to the room. After a while, the window gets shorter, but I still can't do anything. ^

Bad Dreams by Sun-Wukong 2016-12-14T18:52:00

Really cool art and setting. Very neat. The shots took too long and had an annoying, repetitive sound, so I'd consider reducing shot time and make the sound less grating. Otherwise, I really, really liked the game. The animation and art were terrific, and the mood wonderfully dreamlike. The creepy doll-head spiders were great.

4.5 by senabryer 2016-12-18T07:53:00

That's a big download. The game seems like it would have a cool concept, but I got lost with the controls. Couldn't figure out how to select something that had changed, so I spent eight times in the room with the clock ticking down, unable to do anything. Unskippable hyper-slow instructions also annoying.

Awesome idea for the theme. It was a little tricky figuring out the geography, especially with new bad guys being added, but I got it eventually. Fluid controls, a sleek look, great sounds, a cool idea - very, very good entry. Lots of fun to fly and fight. One of my favorites so far.
