Simple mechanic but well executed. My laptop suffers with those graphics xD. Good work!

wolar 2016-12-13 21:41

It says web and there is a file with .exe, sorry could not rate I'm using osx :(

etherealwhisper 2016-12-13 21:44

Nice shooter. I feel the mechanic has a good potential if the design revolves more focused around it. Good job! ^-^

fidrik 2016-12-13 21:46

Wow, that was a nicely polished entry. Had a lot of fun with this, I even tried something like 9 or 10 times to finish the 3rd room. Simple mechanic that is done really well. The only thing I thought should change is the health of the enemy shooters, they felt a little bullet spongy on the last room trying to clear them all out. Apart from that it is visually and mechanically sound. Very well designed, great work guys.

gdcvdqpl 2016-12-13 22:22

Even with fastest graphics, my config wasn't able to launch this... From the little I have seen the graphics are amazing (a bit too much for my pc to handle), and the mechanic is great. Reminds me a bit of the "disc war" in tron.
The sound design is pretty good too !
Nice work !

swingularity 2016-12-13 22:39

Great entry. The doom feel is great :) Love the disk weapon ;)

flaterectomy 2016-12-13 22:42

Web was meant to be Windows, I suppose?

All in all, solid game. I lose visual track of the disk a lot, however. I'd have been able to use it a lot better if it had an outline, maybe even visible through walls. Bouncing it around effectively is the main mechanic after all, and I felt I had to guess a lot.

Graphics are good, sound is pretty good. Nice work!

monsieurduc 2016-12-13 23:01

really fun ! I was in 1999 ! playing richochet ! hahahaha thx really cool idea you should exploit for a good release !

split82 2016-12-14 13:08

Very nice entry. Great graphics, a lot of fun and solid gameplay.

dev-dennis 2016-12-14 15:02

Love the mechanic with some polish this could be really great. It's also very impressive that you made this graphics within the time limit. Kudos.

bellatrion 2016-12-14 15:04

Nice game ! Good feeling with the weapon, very fun to play. Sometimes I got stuck in walls and couldn't move anymore though :/

decentsauce 2016-12-14 15:08

Neat game! :) Tip: if you change the 0 at the end of your dropbox link to a 1 then the download will start immediately instead of first moving you to the dropbox website.

patacorow 2016-12-14 15:16

This game is pretty fun and would love to see a post compo to it.
The movement felt shallow and it reduces the fun for me to keep playing. I would prefer if the game was some kind of waves, to match the theme of One Room.
The robots models is stunning and well put together. I like the HUD is on the weapon (I wish it was more visible). And the game-play its self can be more satisfying yet it's fine this way.
Overall, good job! and good luck :D

pepejson 2016-12-14 15:18

Very great concept. Like to kill row of enemies with backing disk :D

sfje-team 2016-12-14 16:04

This Game is super awesome !!!
Especialy the Graphics.

nwestninja 2016-12-14 16:06

Beautiful game!

redpanda_ua 2016-12-14 16:17

Awesome! Feels like Unreal and Quake.

mr-chippy 2016-12-14 19:06

That was fun. The graphics were amazing even though they killed my computer.

devastus 2016-12-14 20:14

The simple but effective mechanic delivers, kept me playing through. I didn't like being locked in the Y-axis though, even though there is some classic Doom-vibe to be had there.

The graphics are nice, albeit a bit on the "heavier than should be" side. I totally understand limits on optimization in 72 hours though.

All in all, a good game with potential for developing into a full release. Nice work!

mrmordem 2016-12-14 23:03

Well made fps, simple yet fun.

Had a few framerate drops when there were more ennemies but other than that it seemed to run well.

Really like the ennemy models, definitively has that "Unreal" vibe to it (probably because of the disk launcher :p)

conradte3 2016-12-15 00:15

I was really impressed with this entry, it looks and feels great, and was a lot of fun to play, but it might have been better to embrace the theme and focus on designing one room to work really well for bouncing the disk. That being said, the levels that you had were well designed, and the challenge of getting headshots actually kept it interesting enough for me to play through them multiple times.

kingmatthew 2016-12-15 00:21

Very Good game! I like the doom feel of it. Great graphics too.

mighty-buxx 2016-12-15 12:50

Nice game, good graphics. Good work!

paidgeek 2016-12-15 22:22

The disk mechanic is pretty neat. Good graphics and sound effects.

kddekadenz 2016-12-18 17:34

I first was really frustrated as I didn't read the controls and thought there was no button to retrieve the disk. An ingame tutorial would be nice imo.
Looked pretty good! Especially as you made this in an "Unreal"-like style in Unity.
Felt like it was all about moving and dodging, which I really liked.
Could have used some badass music.
Great game!

kaiseangames 2016-12-18 17:56

The mouse sensitivity is a little bit too low, but it's one of the most well executed games this LD. :) Well done.

volcanicgiraffe 2016-12-18 18:19

I'd like to see some sort of trail to follow the exact disc trajectory. And more effective hits with a full charge (now it seems dmg is the same as slow speed). It was fun anyway.
Thank you for the game!

dobnarr 2016-12-18 18:50

Beautiful graphics, nice sound, very smooth gameplay. I couldn't figure out if charging up my disk helped, and it was hard to keep alive while doing so, so I mostly just shot. Gameplay wasn't complex, but the visuals made up for that - very impressive for a short development time. I'd be curious how you got all the graphic elements done in that time. Very cool.

mementogames 2016-12-18 19:24

Impressive work on the graphics!
Gameplay is simple to pickup and very addictive and fun. I loved crushing the enemies with the disc. I found the movement a little weird, but that's something easy to fix.

I don't agree with some other users are saying about the theme, that you should have made "one room". You took the theme the way you wanted and that's fine. Keep rocking!

emmelineprufrock 2016-12-18 19:25

I tried turning down the graphics and still couldn't get it to do anything but chug on my PC. Sorry about that, wish I could've played it!

donvermo 2016-12-18 19:57

I am impressed by the quality of the game for the the jam version. I did notice that on the OSX version the disk had a tendency to bounce up and down (on it's flat side) making it really hard for it to hit anything or return to my gun. The immerse hud was really well executed and the graphic were great. The lack of music did make it harder to get into the game after a while since all I would hear was the spinning of the disk and a plasma gun from time to time.

elmogames 2016-12-18 20:37

Wow great graphics and so polished but the jumping is hard and i would like to aim down

broxxar 2016-12-18 21:04

Looks fantastic, but is a bit lacking in the controls department. Movement wasn't as snappy as it should be (given the parallels to quake/doom). I'm guessing this is just a product of the default Input settings in Unity. Ramping up the gravity of the WASD controls would help a lot with this.

Also seems to take place in pretty discrete different rooms. Would have been nice to see some use of theme there.

Don't let those little qualms of mine get you down because this is still easily one of the best games I've seen in the Jam and maybe even LD to be honest. I'm basically critiquing this entry as though it were a released game because it is so far beyond what is typically created in a jam. Good luck going forward if you decide to make a full version of this!

zenmumbler 2016-12-18 21:37

Good basic mechanic as foundation. Nice to use ricochet to overcome single room limitation. Nicely modelled and animated enemies. Good.

ithildin 2016-12-18 22:13

This is brilliant!! I love the idea, and what can I say about the execution?

It almost looks and feels like a finished game. It's good to see that you're still working on a post-compo version :)

Congratulations!

rockhoppergames 2016-12-19 14:20

The core mechanic here is really good, though I got through the whole game without realising I was supposed to be A: charging my shots and B: holding down the recall button. I actually really liked the way it felt spitting out a slow moving projectile, and just altering it's trajectory with the right mouse. If you continue working on it, I'd love to see more development around those aspects, though I recognise that's personal preference. I'd definitely say you'd need to either completely rework jumping, or remove it all together, though. Losing a level's progress to a set, unintuitive jump arc is a real pain. I did have a real blast with this one, so good work!

ecustmj055 2016-12-20 05:10

Nice game. Gameplay is interesting.Art and audio is well done.

captain-awesome 2016-12-22 21:04

That was awesome! Are you going to sell a bigger version on Steam or Google Play or someplace?

powerspark 2016-12-29 20:59

Good graphics and idea but movement kinda ruined it for me. Getting stuck in walls was common from the start, and I guess movement in general feels a little choppy... like I don't have control. The left click charge up seemed inconsistent too... Great work though.

avitt 2017-01-02 16:15

Cool concept and I liked the graphics, found the movement difficult to control but a good job all round
