Top notch graphics, music, and atmosphere!
Sadly doesn't seem to load on Chrome on Mac.
The walking animation actually made me motion sick. However, from what I could play of the game, it looks very well-crafted. I disliked how I found myself just spam clicking to try to find clues, though.
@PeachTreeOath: Thanks!!
@Moritz: I had a couple of people test it on Mac/Chrome... However it's pretty big so it takes a while to load...
@TrampolineTales: Thanks for the feedback! I should probably reduce the head movement. Otherwise clues are pretty easy to find, they're all pretty big objects scattered throughout the apartment. [spoiler alert]: But there's a twist... Just look for clues in the bathroom once you have about 7-8 clues...
Smooth jazz, I'm digging it!
The only game genre I hate is horror one because of atmosphere. I finished "Snapped" and enjoyed! Thanks for nice soundtrack and screamer absence!
p.s. add some memos when clues where found to fill the story and atmosphere with more details.
20/20 clues. One of the most moody games at LD37
Genuinely creepy. Loved the graphics, music. Awesome entry. As someone else mentioned, thanks for skipping any screaming.
shit i thought this is just a detective find the clue game. didn't see that coming...
"The sink is rusty, like my ex wife"
HAH!
Loved the ending.
Holy shit :) It was scarry :) Good atmosphere and plus for sounds and voice :)
Wow, nice idea and a brilliant execution! I enjoyed the many comments about the objects. I read your "hint spoiler" while looking over the description, so I kind of knew what to do. Well-timed ending and awesome music! I relly like this short experience!
Oh, and another thing: On Linux, after the ending music, the screen just stays black. Could be an intended effect (like in "Dear Esther"), could be a bug. Definitely kept me wondering whether this was the end or not.
I like the asketism of the game
Wow, really cool entry! Hadn't expected that horror turn. Well done!
I like the game. I didn't notice that there was something story-relevant on the ceiling until second playthrough.
Glad I went in there without reading the comments beforehand!
Would have diminished my enjoyment of the end :-)
Nothing /too/ creepy fortunately, but it /did/ pull all the right strings.
I can see why you said that you need to play for at least 3 minutes, but you had me hooked beforehand :-)
The thing I liked the most about this was the overall audio. I've heard worse voice acting & editing in professional games... That goes for the rest of the adventure as well.
I can hardly find anything negative, safe perhaps that the main character was a bit of a dick (get it? private dick? ... sorry) But even that adds to the atmosphere, and is probably on purpose.
Top graphics. Awesome atmosphere just as i like. One of the best games i played at this ld. Just WOW! And it's a compo entry. Just amazing!
As I already told you the production quality is not that high but you still managed to get me in the mood which is something :) I wish it would be more of an adventure game :P
I think this game could benefit a great deal from subtitles. The speech audio seems a tad quiet at times. Aside from that, this was haunting. You've created a creepy atmospheric experience with just a few pieces. I actually thought the walking animation, while a bit unusual, really added to the overall feeling of subtle discomfort the room is creating.
Great game. Was really nice to have almost everything clickable with voice over. Also, thanks, I won't be sleeping tonight. The best I've rated a game yet this jam.
Awesome game. I can't believe you made all of those assets in time! The music was great, too. I'll have to admit - I found the ending voices to be hilarious.
Wow, super creepy. I only got 6/20 clues before the story proceeded, so I'm not sure how much I missed. I was a little frustrated when I double clicked and the audio tracks stopped, and there didn't seem to be a way to restart them, so I missed some parts of the story. I liked the extensive voice-overs, and the scary part sure was scary. Don't want to say more to avoid spoilers. Very nice work.
Really creepy game. I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/8ZKn12Y_qVg
This game sure was scary! great work
