@Alexandre Szybiak Damn. I have no idea what happened. Through many hours of playtesting I didn't find any bugs like that.

@godfire4 It's a bug I can't fix because I can't replicate on my pc. Try reloading until it works.
@xgeovanni Yeah I wish I would prevent that from happening but I didn't have the time.
@SnapDragon You can see the controls in the first screen. It's wasd or arrow keys to navigate through options and map, and space to talk to someone and skip through dialog.
@sp0CkEr2 Not all games have to introduce a new mechanic every 20 seconds. Take flappy bird for example: One mechanic, countless of playhours. This game is 3-5 minutes long and has 2 mechanics. If you get bored you just follow the story, I don't get why repetition is a bad thing.. :/
@Natrium729 I had written a half-page background for each character, but I was short on time. There are many things I wish I had the time to do.. :(

Awesome game! Exactly the kind of game I want to play. Very good gameplay, and the music is very atmospheric. Overall 5/5 would play again.

@t4u haha okay, Ill change it to big letters. Menus didnt take more than 2 hours to do.
Used a lot but mainly magix music maker. I wish I had that idea when I made the game, oval would be nice. :D
Ludum dare is not about polishing, but I would definetly do that in a future version.
A bit hard and not that smooth, but can be a lot of fun if u have the grit to learn it! :D

Great entry overall, very innovative, always good to see new stuff. I'm afraid it was a bit too unforgiving at the beginning, I don't see how a new player would sit through this.

@t4u You don't really feel the connection to the theme? It's quite literally the most literal connection to the theme there is. You are the monster, you are the bad guy etc. I'm not saying it's the best approach to the theme, I myself would rate it 4/5, but it's the only way you can't be wrong for sure.

The repetetive part was so that you are prepared for the difficult levels.
It's a new take on the controls which makes a normal platformer a runner while using two directions in 2D. I consider it kinda innovative. :S
Yea the first 8 levels are about learning to use space.
Well I wanted to keep it minimal so that there wouldn't be many distractions.
Everything about the game was top notch! The gameplay cycle was quite solid and the music actually made the game immersive.

Yea the levels on easy and normal difficulty dont give you any feel of the note correlation to the song. Didn't have time to add more visual feedback. Thanks for the review.

@Ramayana Font is kinda weird. You get 100 points for getting a note without the correct shape, you get 300 with the correct shape, if you get 8 correct shapes in a row you get into chorus mode and gain those points x10 incrementing by every successful shape x10 while in chorus mode.

@Steven Pinto There's actually sound effects for when you get the right shape and other for when you don't.

@szahn the hallways are up early, there are some rooms further on. The player is intentionally a black square, as it is symbolic, you would know if you finished it. The level is not auto generated because I wanted to give a feeling of progression a computer can't produce. Thanks for playing my game! :D
