Seemed like it could be fun but I could not figure out how to move my ship. Do you have to have a controller?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD35 → Ikarauraga

Im...im sorry brow, but the controls don't work here...i can play it with keyboard?
Yes for a reason I ignore only the controller works! We're going to fix it!
Get it fixed. I would like to play it soon:)
Played with controller :D Nice work. BUT YOU REALLY SHOULD ADD KEYBOARD SUPPORT.
Controls didn't work, will play again after fix!
When I see "supports controller", I don't assume "must use controller". I'll give this another look later.
Controls fixed! Enjoy!
No idea why OSX links to a .exe file. Very challenging :)
My mistake sorry! Updated! ;)
Interesting, but challenging
Thank you for adding keyboard controls.
The game is okay; having the bullets turn to follow me made it far more difficult.
Really cool mechanics like Ikaruga! Maybe it will be better if the bullet can be destroyed when collided with the shield. Well done!
It was the idea at first but we ran out of time. ;)
Was a fun play! Would prefer it to be easyer but fun nonthless :P
Dropped in to check out your game. nice fast controls!
Hi, nice game ! We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #35.
Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description
Cool game, old school style graphics and very challenging. You could have make more work on graphics and UI(sort of minimalist flat design, which is a trend, even though I love old school painting), and game would be much better, and even sellable on Steam.
This was quite hard. 45 seconds was my best score. The bullet hell aspect was nicely implemented. It'd be interesting to see procedural waves, but I understand that such a thing is against the nature of bullet hell shooters.
Mac Version doesn't work unfortunately. (10.8.5 here)
A bit too harsh on the learning curve there... Not everyone is a bullet-hell-lover. :D Gotta introduce your enemies slowly.
For the PC / keyboard version, having c to change shields is really awkward to reach. I feel like maybe shift or ctrl or enter (using my right hand) would have been better. Or even just have autofire on and use space for changing shields (as why would you ever stop firing?). Must admit I don't play these types of games very often, so I found it quite hard at the start. Once I got going, I found it mostly easier to just dodge and shoot and forget about shield changes.
I feel like also, be nice to have some sort of trade-off between shield types. Like you're slower with one shield type, but can shoot more bullets or something?
Also, the music didn't really fit? It seemed quite low fi, whereas the game was all action..
