Fun but it was incredibly hard to see anything.

Fun but it was incredibly hard to see anything.
The game itself is good fun, and your art is nice. But I had problems that the gnome moved faster than the camera could keep up!
Fixed now! Don't know what happened.
Thanks all for the positive comments so far! The Moon maxes out once you go over 700, because if it got any bigger we started having issues with the zooming out camera, and the moon itself would take up too much of the screen to see anything else.
Thats amazingly odd. Flixel has a built in mute function when you push 0 I believe, which we didnt disable, may have hit that! But shouldnt have stayed between refreshes.
Yeah! I said up in the description that there are occupied planets which shoot missiles at you, which knocks chunks of your mass off.
I have no clue what I just played.
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing at first, but once i figured it out it was really good! Top notch.
Really enjoyed!
Amazing.
Hard but fun! I probably would have prefered the planet to rotate than the player, but only because I couldnt work out which way was up!
Oh god I loved this. It was simple but when you got to so many atoms on the screen I couldnt help but laugh as everyone just went flying everywhere.
Fantastic game, love the lighting.
Fantastic art, good gameplay, great fitting audio!
Both links go to a swfcabin file which fails to load. Fixit Fixit Fixit Fixit.
It was all going so well until my health bar started poking out the otherside of itself, and I realise I had nothing left to do! Either way though I did enjoy it.
Fantastic little game!
Fun game, got up to 16 blokes saved before I timed out. The only complaint is that it doesnt seem to matter if its a comet or a dude, as you're always trying to aim them to a blank spot anyway.
Really simple but fun game, but I don't see it being linked to the theme too much. Good work though!
Game was fun! Wish we could see it expanded a bit more.
Bears! In space!
First game I'm commenting on, nothing ground breaking, but it sure made me laugh and smile! So thumbs up all around.
Maybe I'm being daft here, but I don't see the download link!
Fun games but the controls really got to me and ruined it a bit.
Fun simple game, made great by good art!
It was a fun game, but I found the controls a bit awkward with the small window size, and I eventually got stuck when it said I had 1 enemy left, but couldnt find it anywhere.
I seemed to shoot through levels at times without even meaning it, and at one point it just kept rapidly restarting the level I was on.
Game just blank screened for me after I entered my name
Awesome introduction.
I just had absolutely no clue what I was doing here. Clicking made me fire. "Ready we need to teach you the interface" and then no more instructions!
Yeah my earlier comment was because I played it in firefox and it was a jumbled mess. Rescored it now for playing in Chrome.
Yeah I gotta agree, signing up for an account is a pain in the arse. Guest account please!
This was a great little sim! I wish it had some more building types, but I had enough fun making a city with what I had.
Yeah I tried to get a game today, but there was just nobody there. Perhaps a bot would be best for those times?
Yeah I ran head first into a wall and disappeared before the NPC's could! Fun though if you look past the bugs.
Link seems dead to me again, just getting a black screen for ages.
"For Jam games, you are free to use whatever artwork or content you like (preferably something you have the legal rights to), but you must accept all responsibility for its use."
Tifu: Level 5 is the current max, we had 4 categories to upgrade originally, but they were cut due to time restraint
01010111: We ended up using Flixel's default collision, we were working on our own pixel perfect collision, I didn't realise Photonstorm had it in their power tools (something I've not looked at!), in the end we didnt finish the collision.
Thanks for the positive comments so far!
Hey, sorry I'm unsure why :(! Try the web mirror, or the windows version please. It seems to be working fine on my computer (Story of my life)
Added a direct link to the .swf file, hopefully it will help
Sorry, seems to be a problem with running it in chrome, removed that version for now. Will try to get it back up.
@Pythong, Take his lady friend turtle out on a date.
Got killed by spiders. Would play again.
Had quite a lot of fun playing it, ended quite abruptly though. But good job.
Sorry, 404 not found!
Had a good laugh with this one.
I had a very hard time trying to work out what I was supposed to be doing.
404 not found :(!
Sorry, it did not work for me. The unity logo draws, and then vanishes.
Good concept, but found it very hard right from the get go. Maybe a more gradual progression in difficulty?
Extremely difficult, but it looks great, and a pretty fun. I managed to survive 49 seconds. I didn't quite feel like my attacks were hurting the enemies.
Your youtube video of the game seems to be at a much more reasonable pace, the version I played was crazy fast.
I don't know if I'm just terrible, but I went off on the path to the left, and couldn't seem to get back the way after destroying the crystal! Other wise it was pretty fun, would get smashed by squares again.
Really appreciated being able to re-map the keys, as the default ones were rather hard to use, especially as shift kept bringing up sticky keys prompt. Otherwise it was pretty fun platformer
Fun game, I enjoyed it. Though I finally just clicked attack to see what would happen and instantly won. The final text is rather hard to read.
Well that was traumatic...! Would poop again.
Love the music. Would dance again.
Pretty hard! Best I could get was around 20 points. But had a good laugh with it.
You don't appear to have a link for the game!
Crashes right away.
Really cool! I very much enjoyed this game, got up to level 10 before stopping. But I'll be playing it again later.
First 5 star I've given out this Ludum Dare. Amazing work.
Thanks for the nice comments so far! There is nothing that can damage you, the idea is more of a Score Attack game, to see how high of a score you can generate.
I did consider just having the head deal damage, but there was something satisfying about how ridiculously big you got as the snake otherwise! But feedback noted!
@Zetym If you want to score super high you have to get combo's, I tried to make this apparent but could have done a better job! Just skimming the surface will get you lots of kills, but they will all only add 1-2 segments to your snake. If you manage to jump and kill 10+ enemies in one leap, it will add something like 50 segments to your snake.... huge multiplier for going for big leaps!
Thanks for the bug reports! I admittedly did quite a quick nasty piece of code to make sure the snake didn't go off of the bottom.
Also love the feedback, I'll happily make a version of the game where only the head deals damage to the enemy, and upload it here if thats not against the rules. But I'm unsure where the rules stand on that.
Hello! I'm sorry but I get a 404 not found when I try to download your game from the Windows link! Please sort and I'll have another try later
That was really great! Very good job
The animation and art is really beautiful
It was very interesting, but I don't really know how it relates to the theme? My one complaint would be the camera seems a bit too slow to follow you
I had fun playing it, but I would avoid using shift in your controls. I kept getting sticky key pop ups!
Found it way too hard to play, the camera angle made the perspective really strange for positioning yourself.
The graphics was great, and the gameplay itself pretty fun, but how was it related to the theme?
I was really enjoying this game as a nice relaxing casual thing.... then there were meteors... haha it was fun.
A pretty simple game, but it was fun in places. I didn't make it through to the end though.
Maybe you should sort your download files? I imagine people won't play it if they don't realise they have to download multiple things, just add the .exe to the data zip.
On some levels your spikes were facing the wrong direction! And at times I did manage to glitch into the breakable blocks.
Great looking game, and fun to play as well! My only issue was it felt the hit boxes were pretty small on the pick ups.
Maybe its above my head, but I'm not too sure what was actually supposed to happen here. Besides jumping in the river and getting the "Ahhh" text I couldn't seem to make anything else happen beside the word "more" occassionally appearing on my screen, and the river getting slightly bigger. Did I miss it out on something?
