LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

GunGun Koi by CheesyRamen 2015-12-22T17:58:00

I could not get the game to work with A and D but did with the up and down arrows.

The game is cool, with a nice mechanic. I did have to mute my computer after a while, though. :) I like the use of the fish, and the warning signs.

Timebomb by Galan 2015-12-21T16:06:00

Very solid little game. Hook got set, and you cost me more than a bit of my morning. Thanks.

If you polished this a bit, it would stay on my tablet for quite some time.

The Ultimate Corn Protector by ezolotko 2015-12-21T17:23:00

The good: The grainy graphics which really gives the feeling of night. Awesome effect. The entire driving around feel just works.
The not as good: The actual game itself.
Great jam game entry. I had a lot of fun with it, and really loved the look of the game.

Dystopian Orphan by caryoscelus 2015-12-21T18:22:00

Great looking game.

Kin by purrpurr 2015-12-21T18:00:00

Interesting game.

Plant Maker DX by doos 2015-12-21T18:10:00

I kept on wanting to interact with the animals. I think that there is a game here if you have some flowers attract some kinds of animals, and then other to interact with them, as well as the interaction that those animals could have with each other.
This is one that I would like to see you do something with beyond the jam. Good work.

Little Unstable Planet by Mekuri 2015-12-27T00:57:00

This is a game that I think will be a lot better after some play testing and adjustment. Cool concept and look... controls are clunky and timing is off. Maybe some sort of RADAR function to help guide player to meteors. Great start to a game that should be unique and fun.

Honker's Wrist Wrasslin World Tour by denycetm 2015-12-15T14:50:00

Love the world tour bit. Obviously there is only so much to a button masher, but overall the packaging was pleasing. On the actual game screen, some sort of pacing graphic to give feedback on if speed or rhythm is called for would have made a better experience. Good entry.

PreGumbo! by FistBumpGames 2015-12-15T14:41:00

I love what you are doing with this game. The comic book intro is great, and your use of color hit it right. This is one of those games that I wish I could see after a couple of more days development, with more levels added to express the game play itself, and finish the overall game UI. Great effort... put a smile on my face.

Super Secret Self Aware Desert Dash by interwebsninja 2015-12-22T17:21:00

Amazing entry. It is always cools to see a game that is truly designed and not simply a mechanic with some sprites and sounds added. Great use of color. The voice over work is really fun. Just plain fun.

Growth of the Hive by Wir 2015-12-28T04:51:00

I was not able to see all of the instructions, and could not figure out what to do.

Greenvenge by Nizar89 2015-12-22T18:07:00

I can see this being a hit tablet game with some fine tuning. Nice mechanic done very well. Art is spot on.

The biggest area for improvement I would suggest is figuring out how to give more warning for the aliens coming from the top and bottom. Outside of that, I do not envy you the headache of adding some raycasting to keep the aliens from going through your trees... LOVE THIS GAME!

GROW by Japes 2015-12-15T14:22:00

Some sort of HUD would help the player know what is happening a lot. Interesting concept... could make a nice mobile game for when you have idle hands but can not be fully engaged.

You can't see but you can feel by Cliff Lee CL 2015-12-28T05:24:00

Very cool. Non-video video game. Needs a little polish, but I love the concept.

Grown with the Flow by Skywilly 2015-12-28T05:08:00

Awesome art and music. Not sure if I was doing something wrong, as only a small percentage of clicks collected the pollen.

Electric Dodgeball by ondrejbalas 2015-12-28T04:56:00

Interesting mechanic to have the dual controls. Nice background.

Anglerfish by chrizdekok 2015-12-28T05:15:00

interesting take on the infinite runner. The pan out when you speed up is a nice touch.

Santa Balls by Jervac 2015-12-21T15:58:00

The great thing about a game jam is it forces a lot of learning. The controls were responsive, the screen scroll was good. Looks like you got some AI going. Good first effort. I hope to see your effort from your second LD.

Plunge by MoogleSensei 2015-12-21T16:21:00

This game is in what we call the minimally viable product stage, an I think that there is a game that could be fun here. The controls are a bit clunky, and obviously there are some mechanics to be added, but it is something that I would continue to develop.

The Fighter Diet by Louspirit 2015-12-22T22:58:00

Awesome looking game! Good work on the details, and kudos to your artist.

Wobblez by jackycute 2015-12-28T05:04:00

Solid game, especially the sound and visual package.

Frog Well by g12345 2015-12-21T17:37:00

This is one of those games that would greatly be made better by an extra day to fine tune. When the platforms are set up right, it is a pretty fun game. I found that more times than not, my frog would simply get stuck in a place where he could not jump out of.
I really liked the extra touches, like the flies. The retro frog if fun. Great job.

Two Button Zoo by loveapplegames 2015-12-27T01:29:00

The graphics reminds me of an old Atari 2600 game. Lots of fun!

Fast West by Emkiusz 2015-12-22T16:51:00

This is a perfect example of how to use a few simple assets and color right to make an incredible look and feel.

Weight Control by ChiPassGames 2015-12-22T18:16:00

@local - thanks for the input. We are actually thinking about doing a mobile version of this game, though we will not limit it to two button.... we are toying with a swipe control. You never know what you are going to come up with when you do these things, and the whole get fat for mass/get thin for jumping is a mechanic we are enjoying working with. I wish we had more time to do more levels that incorporated swinging through walls, but frankly we had a ton of issues getting the collisions to work right, but still have some way to go. A doughnut should not stop a swinging fat guy...

Jeffrey's Adventure by CaptainRed_ 2015-12-22T17:30:00

Nice little game that I would like to play after some polish. I really like the mechanics of the game, and I think a little tuning and sound would really make this very playable, so I hope you put some more time into it.

Grow a Beard! by martin-denizet 2015-12-21T17:48:00

Obviously the game looks great, is great fun for a short time, and is really funny. Perfect game jam entry. Still laughing.
