Pew pew pew!
sorry, i get a 404
Wow, I really loved this.. Loved how the lights on the mines were the only thing I could see at depth, really upped the ante. Impressive work!
PS, was fine on xp 64bit.
Ha, awesome.. Really good work. Although the graphics were a little rough, the animation was top class and everything fit the theme perfectly. Definitely one of my favorites!
It's funny cause its true...
Fantastic, but I couldnt find the backstab button.. :)
I really wanted to like this game but I couldnt get into it.. I tried playing for about 20 mins! There didnt seem to be anything obvious about not being noticed while hacking the nodes. Red mode needed to be a bit more effective at shooting things for it to be worthwhile. My favorite mode was greenmode as I like to move fast, especially if replaying things. The graphics and audio were amazing though.
Really impressive.. Would have preferred different movement controls and a little more speed.. Didnt realise your dragon had momentum until a bit later. The level design is off the charts though! +1 for Burnination!
Really glad I got to play this one.. I was worried it wouldnt run until I installed XNA!
I found the jumping impossible and ran out of ammo far too quickly so couldnt progress.. Wondered what the point of heading away was, would the guards be on your side? Where was the moonwalk button?
The controls were really unresponsive though love the graphics.. I see a job at ILM in your future, hmm?
I think the game could have been a bit quicker to go with the music but thought the graphics were well done.
Some great reviews, thanks.. Been trying to remove the gc pause, increased dragon speed, added more mobs, corrected some minor bugs, but not the big ones such as warriors dont hit, and dragons dont die (or breath fire?!) :) Win condition is something to think about, maybe 5 waves of enemies between level changes then a final boss fight?
Epic.. Almost got everything but I stung the last picnic before the goat standing right by it.. Bit of slowdown near the end.
I like the randomised level generation and the graphics are all consistent within the theme.. However, as I missed practically every rabbit I aimed at, can you give me the option of M4 with undermounted grenade launcher? Thanks!
I really like the dungeon creation, and think that has a lot of potential.. I just wish the gameplay was more interesting.. Tombo is usually spawned much closer to the exit than me and sets off before I know what the level really looks like. Hope you're going to use this as a base to make a rogelike!
I like the color palette, but couldnt find the challenge in the game, apart from taunting the computer AI.
I liked how you turned the idea around and it was nicely executed ;)
I made a core, surrounded it with frame, gave it spider legs, clicked the green arrow and it exploded. I obviously need a manual for this game!
Quite ambitious for an LD but it works perfectly!
I didnt really feel like the heroes or mobs had a physical presence.. Knowing the hp goes down or having a sound effect to show that they are attacking would have helped a bit. Without that, it is hard to know the difference between mob types.. Should I be putting in more goats or what?
Was too impatient to beat opera, but really liked the different themes and cutscenes.
Played through on melee and didnt realise the shoot mechanic till I'd played it.. So I played it another couple of times. Liked the gangsters shooting you with tommy guns.. Felt very GTA when you're wanted with 5 stars! I reckon theres a mobster game mechanic in there somewhere, but I've no idea what it is..
Really enjoyed running away from the goblins(?), nice mechanic.
I'm giving you 5/5 for the graphics because my drawing was awesome.. :)
Lol, nice bit of sheep chasing. Made it to level 8 before it got too difficult for me. ;) Its not obvious that the sheep have animation cycles as its a bit slow, but kudos for getting level design, ai, sound, animation, voice acting and music done in 48 hours.. In 3d too. Some people wont get that any of these assets can be swapped out later but the game is tight, and its got charm.. I like it!
I did do a bit of wandering, but I wasn't sure if the bus paths were random so it was a little lucky that I made it to the right hand side of the map. Would have been better if the routes were represented by numbers or colours. Also, reminded me a bit of this which might give you ideas!: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland_Yard_(board_game)
Was a bit tricky to find my round red guy in amongst the blue red and green blobs. The movement of the worms was excellent, though a bit quick. (Was pretty random whether I caught one or not). Could have flipped between the left and right motion images when the net swung.
Bit confusing what I was supposed to do and what key did what. That delay is likely too many collisions between objects in the scene. Remove some of those boxes or replace them with circles to speed it up.
' tick key on the far right of the keyboard worked for me to go back to plane 1.. Easy change would be to activate on Q. Made it to the end.. I can imagine it being very interesting phasing into rooms full of homing enemies, or phasing out straight away to avoid them, or adding timers for the speedrun community.. Loved the speed I could go, found that aiming in isometric was hard.. As well as the colour of the tile to the boss room.. So many maps!
Very cool idea.. Wish my ship was a bit faster to turn.. :)
Yeah.. Maybe a hover over button change colour.. The yellow is hard to distinguish from the orange and the white.
I didn't have any time to do any sounds. I wasn't sure what kind of music would work with this.. Something.. Spacey? Mystical? I thought it would get tired and frustrating after a while.
Nicely done.. Like the portals into the real world with the photos.. Was a bit different!
Love the voxel art and ice world theme.. And the connection between this life and the next.
Might steal a pic of the fox for a profile pic.. :)
Loved the game, I just wasn't very good at it!
Finally! A game I could complete! Tile engine, different worlds, hit detection.. Solid programming.
What a waste of haggis! ;)
I bought all the planets but I couldn't buy the sun.. It was too hot.. :)
For something so simple, it is really hard to play.. It would have been better to phase in the different players more gradually, so you got used to working with two, then three, then four.. I got 119 by only having green guy..
Awesome, but missed spikes covered in ghosts about 15 times :)
Houses started resetting when I went through every door after a while (6/7), and the music stopped.. Was nice to listen to.
Sorry for the late rate.. I've been playing for about an hour.. :)
I think that there is a rare bug on building creation where a factory wont take in resources which are just sitting around, like the food processing with the seafood, and the titanium factory and the ore.
It would have been a bit better if there was a hover on the resources on the factory which told you what they were, but the trade window had an easy reference. I found that my uranium outpost on the lava planet kept dying because I was stealing more refined uranium than supplying food.. Then I kept supplying once the outpost died since the contracts were still in place and couldn't be cancelled. And then my third terran planet died because I couldn't process all the lovely fish and I had ran out of steel.
In summary.. You made an RTS I wanted to play.. Well done! :)
Rather than rate some games, I'm going to play some more of this one.. ^^
I think it might have crashed because I tried to close my shipyard? I was trying to clear space for more farms.. :)
That was hilarious and well done.. Full points to everything!
This would have made worms more interesting..
Thanks for the feedback, I added more polish and moved to the Jam..
The difficulty should ramp up over time alive until it is impossible to stay on.. Which is too hard, I guess. One solution would be to have a character select about who to put in the car.. Boy racer or granny.
I was thinking that if you don't eat the bugs in time, she uses the windscreen wipers of doom, but it was too complicated for the jam..
I think my mum would love it.. She loves matching games and doesn't have the dexterity or eyesight for most games.
Love it!
I thought it was interesting, and clever, but I was terrible at it.. Missing something probably.
it was so hard i did a solid.
Kept getting stuck at the top left when the exit is just below that and to the right.
Excellent art assets.. Didn't really understand why I couldnt jump as high as some items, DNF.
This reminds me of the time I was locked in Dixons overnight.. :)
I ran out of weed and never saw the illuminati coming.. Life of crime doesn't end well, kids!
nice.. love the art style and animation.. took a while to find the drinks, as mine are under the tv. :)
liked the idea, would have loved to strafe.. :)
Has a bit of a Rambo moment about level 21.. :D
haha at the CS comments.. :)
Had a bit of difficulty fighting, I mean, why is my ship just sitting there being killed? Is it right or left button? I also thought the monsters were gold for a bit.. RTS isnt really my thing, but this made me want to play one.
I found the keys a little too sensitive, so I would overrotate past a small asteroid.
Got to level 10 and a rider started doing doughnuts on a corner.. Thought the arena with the particle effects was brilliant. The audio could have been a bit louder, and I wasn't quite sure where I could place a tower or when. Second tower didnt work for some reason, but first was good enough anyway.. I played about 20 mins? :)
Amazing on so many levels.. Didn't seem to be able to kill any kaisers. Want a cd now.
Got a cd.. I didn't mention it, but adding the lyrics to the game was brilliant, as was having the game breaking mechanic, though I couldn't manage it.
"...panic at the end of the world" and then you die. Hmm, I hope we don't get any of them there asteroids.
Thought it was easy enough once I discovered the strafe thrusters, but as soon as I came close to the station I freaked out with mad bursts and ruined it. Found it very hard to come to an almost stop. I got out of a few dead spins, but yeah, it is harder than the docking simulator at Kennedy! :)
Btw, I was on it for about 40 mins.. Good work :)
I hovered while shooting, just like in destiny!
Loved it, couldn't do the three steps and squished every now and then so it was good to have infinite lives.
Appreciated.. I'll edit the description to give more warning
Loved it! :)
I got small, freaked out and panic ate mushrooms till I died.. 10/10
I found it pretty hard to select the right color in time.. Btree selection wasn't the easiest thing to learn, though maybe if more of the btree had relevant colours, or there was an animation feedback for the final colour selection, it would be easier to learn. Jumping was pretty fun and I wanted to jump off more street furniture..
I thought it was pretty cool, I just kept dying all the time.. Nice touch to add my soul to the pile.. :)
That is one awesome game.. Had to play it till I completed it! :) The box art needs to be improved till it is as good as the game!!
