Rather short, and I was unaware of what the shawarma meter at the top accomplished. The timer dropped some digits at times and I could not find a way to exit the game after beating it. That being said, I laughed, I hit pedestrians with my van, I served a bunch of shawarma, and in the end... Well, you know. It was a very nice game overall!
This was incredibly polished, I don't know how you did it! The idling animations alone for characters blew my mind.
Your use of the theme is hilarious and the overall gratuity of explosions, blood, and collapsing shelves is very rewarding. It also felt good to stick with the puzzles and figure them out, but I would agree that the difficulty scaling felt too intense. Overall a wonderful job though!
It was intense and the different attacks were well thought out. Warping me back to the start of the whole area seemed a little harsh for failing once. The graphics were alternatingly very smooth and frozen for 3 seconds during some of the purple particle effects. It was still quite fun to play and the voice acting was very good.
Nice job with the weapon/pizza upgrades. I really liked the game over audio snippet. I had a lot of fun playing too!
The controls were definitely a bit glitchy. I also found a sadly lacking supply of non-enemy junk after the initial few boxes. But other than that it was a very well put together game. You did a good job on the music and sound too, every game tastes that much better with audio!
The mood of this game is very good. I loved your use of flickering lights to add to it, and I think not having any music enhanced it more than anything.
I found it a bit difficult to focus the aim on ants because of whatever grid the magnifying lens would snap to, but the idea is quite innovative and it was a good use of the theme. I had fun with it :)
I believe this is my favorite game I've come across so far. You had a simple, quirky take on the theme and delivered an amusing and adorable (albeit short) experience. Thank you! Also, it's refreshing to see someone else using Love, I think you're the first entry I've seen that was Unity-based too.
I absolutely love the mechanic of using your own life force to attack enemies, it forced a good level of suspense and strategy. I am unsure if it was the intent, but I could only move back and forth with A and D, not up and down with W and S. All around a great first attempt at Ludum Dare, well done!
I like the mechanic, but it could definitely benefit from further sound effects and music. The game plays very nicely though. I feel like you put together a solid, if simple, game, well done
My only gripe was not being sure whether I was being effective or not. Otherwise I really liked it!
Pretty fun, I love that you get to through library cards at people, something that I've always wanted to do. I have discovered a crazy bug/behavior though. I thought maybe I could press up and shoot at the same time. But holding up and pressing ctrl made the librarian float like crazy, and mashing ctrl while doing this produced some freaky warping effects.
