The game itself is good fun, and your art is nice. But I had problems that the gnome moved faster than the camera could keep up!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD23 → Gnome Alone

A fun game, Sounds would be cool and also sometimes mobs glitched into walls
the camera pans too slow! especially when you pick up gas! kept running into enemies off-camera and dying. nice job on what you have though. the art is fun.
Too bad there is no sound and the collisions are not really working, but the art is good!
GNOME OVER...haha pretty clever wording in the game. Would have made the mood a lot better to have had sound and of course the pan/collision issues, but, it was pretty fun anyway!
Awesome game. but my gnome ended up in the walls!
lovely game but incredibly unpolished. I can tell that you had some serious bugs early on or ran out of time for some other reason, because this game is in serious need of playtesting
Enjoyable games, the menus screens are particularly nice, good job.
the camera is really annoying.
also, the title screen and tutorial page looked very polished - I was a bit dissapointed that the game itself looks not that great in comparision
however - fun game, gnome over made me laugh :)
Haha. "Gnome Over"
I had a bug where I was forced to run right regardless which key I pressed. It ended with the next powerup I collected.
The graphics are great.
Nice game. But it's very hard. The graphics are very good.
Fun game. I didn't run into any of the problems most people are talking about.
I wish there was a bit more to do. Good job, though!
Fun game, nice work.
The menu screens are really clean looking. Nice job. Fighting the gophers reminded me of the first Zelda and the enemies that burrow in the sand.
Cool start, it would be pretty easy to turn this into a full game with different levels, powerups, etc.
I kind of enjoy the graphic style. I think there is a lot of promise there. Gameplay is solid enough but there doesn't seem to be a clear objective as such. Sound usually livens up action games, but unfortunately there is none.
All in all very nice effort for a first jam.
The camera not panning quickly enough definitely made it difficult to move around easily-- enemies slightly off-screen caused some issues (especially with the gas can power up :P). Still a fun concept though, good work!
Great, funny topic, but I find it graphically a little inconsistent (great title screen, great gnome art - rest kinda doesn't fit in) - but hey, it's playable enough for me. For a first attempt, this is actually quite good.
The title screen is really nice, it would be great to see more of that style in the game.
The gameplay is simple to understand and enjoyable but it could really benefit from a secondary objective to give it a bit more depth.
Good job
Gorgeous title screen.
Game is fun, controls seem a little off, or maybe it's the collision. Could use more feedback when you are hit.
Pretty cool game.
The only annoying thing was that the camera movement was slower than my movement so that made me have to stop every few seconds to let the camera catch up.
The angry version of david the gnome? I found it very sad :C Just because I grew up watching david the gnome and he has never harmed an animal :C
I did not find the enemies attractive and I would like to see a more badass gnome design (but that's just me). But being a gnome was fun! Nice graphics. Specially liked the "Max Payne Style" life bar and menu screen!
Very easy.
I loved the idea of a gnome running around throwing lawn darts at things. I never figured out what the gas cans did.
Enjoyed the shooting and moving mechanic, good gnome graphics and a well put together package. Would love to see some more feedback when scoring a hit, perhaps some simple particle effects? Good entry
