LD21 — Escape

Flee Buster by ChevyRay 2011-08-23T04:33:00

Nice graphics. I wasn't a fan of the sudden context-switching or frog-mode. Good sound.

Escape in 60 seconds by Gornova 2011-08-23T04:47:00

I didn't like it. Smooth up the movement (Legend of Zelda like would be perfect), add a gameplay mechanic (like bomberman, or turrets, or bullet time, or stealth or something) and you'd have something special. You're almost there, it just needs more work.

Poltergeist by Gib 2011-08-23T04:09:00

Dude, rock on for the nice lighting effect and animated main character. I died near instantly though to specters three or four times in a row, couldn't figure out how to avoid them. Still though, nice entry, just ease people in a bit.

Astral Artifice by elbowroom 2011-08-23T04:24:00

Not my kind of game, but I was definitely impressed by the graphics. The timer counting down from 20+ minutes intimidated the hell out of me. I wasn't going to play a giant maze for 20+ minutes.

Facilitated Escape by BlackBulletIV 2011-08-23T04:05:00

I like it. Rock on for using Love 2D.

Regarding collisions, I'd like if I couldn't crash into the sides of oncoming blocks. It sucks to try to switch tracks too early and wipe out. Course, I'm kind of drunk, so maybe it's user error. STILL, I liked the music, reminded me of games in my youth.

Space theme and shaking screen were cool too. I appreciated those touches.

Robot Run by surreal_whale 2011-08-23T04:20:00

I found the controls confusing. Took a number of minutes of me clicking randomly for me to figure out how to place a path. I didn't know that orange and blue were start and end pieces. Maybe some instructions would help.

Lava Tsunami of Doom by Shot 2011-08-22T03:10:00

Nice! It was fun. It's a lot easier if you hold shift and down constantly.

Sharks Are Evil by Psy 2011-08-23T04:41:00

I liked it. Make it into an iphone game, polish it, and make some money.

Press Space! by mcatominey 2011-08-23T04:30:00

Got stuck here, vibrating forever. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/664907/Screenshots/21.png

Space Captain Iodine Escapes The Electric Death Maze (In Space) by aeonofdiscord 2011-08-23T03:57:00

It's a trial and error game. Not quite my cup of tea. I like that the main character animated though and that the levels had good pacing.

LD23 — Tiny World

Disregard All Humans by Fireblend 2012-04-23T05:04:00

Haha. Nice job. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Cells by Ulixava 2012-04-28T03:56:00

Didn't work on a mac. Unfortunately, I'm not really up for installing a different runtime or upgrading the system java. Hope your game does well.

Planet ZOOB by Pacifist Games 2012-04-23T16:09:00

Nice work on the details! I loved the little stuff, like the eyes following the player, the death animation ending in him holding a sign with your score, and the little puffs of dust when the asteroids come down.

Gnome Alone by Matt Rudder 2012-04-28T03:39:00

Gorgeous title screen.

Tiny Shipping by Martin Vilcans 2012-04-25T06:39:00

Loved the globe. Wish I knew where Santo Domingo was.

Tiny Life by armornick 2012-04-23T05:19:00

The OSX link says file not found, but I was able to download the .love file and run it via love. Nice first try. Keep it up!

Tiny Tiny Ants by gamesmith 2012-04-25T06:43:00

Nice audio. No idea how to play.

Dimension Jumpers by Skye 2012-04-26T02:26:00

Very charming game. I loved the artwork. Twisted.

Run, Unicorn, Run! by fprawn 2012-04-24T04:33:00

Nice graphics. Windows guys don't know what they're missing out on.

Phi by Thomas Bowker 2012-04-28T05:42:00

Not sure what to do other than interact with the pillars at the start. I tried catching hoppers for a while to toss into the lights, but of course that didn't work. Beautiful game though. Love the things appearing over the horizon.

Crash Effect by koredozo 2012-04-23T06:34:00

Love me some love2d gaming. Man, this game is hard!

Fuseglow by spacerumpus 2012-04-23T06:55:00

Aww.. The web server seems to be struggling.

Nevertheless, I refreshed through to the end. Pretty awesome. I think this was the most interesting story and for sure the most innovative platform so far this Ludum Dare. Nice job!

Little World Adventure by firstrowgames 2012-04-26T04:14:00

I agree with TyrusPeach. I liked the music a great deal, found the bunny charming and

Lost Planet by eyecreate 2012-04-28T05:20:00

Would like to play, but I have no idea what to do with this. I assume I should install pygame, but damn. I don't want to learn python's package management system.

Turtles, all the Way Down! by NewButtermilk 2012-04-27T05:11:00

Love the screaming SO MUCH.

Robot in the Garden by Gaeel 2012-04-23T02:35:00

This game is freaking beautiful. Nice sound too.

I couldn't figure out what to do other than do laps though.

Nice use of a non-standard aspect ratio as well.

Solenopsis Invicta by CoffeeOnimal 2012-04-24T16:28:00

I won and had no idea how that happened. I think Andrew was right that a little visual feedback would go a long way. Like you could make the ants wiggle while they're eating or something. I think it's a good beginning though.

stack::tracer() by nihilocrat 2012-04-23T02:51:00

Interesting concept!

Memento XII by deepnight 2012-04-28T03:51:00

Beautiful.

Nanofactory by Justin Mullin 2012-04-23T04:56:00

Holy crap. That first puzzle was hard. I had no idea you could rotate an entire collection once you've picked it up (for some reason I thought you could only rotate individual grid cells.) After that, I breezed through to Overtime 8 before I got stuck. Fun game. Nice music.

Cosmicro by Knighty 2012-04-23T02:25:00

Nice music!

Obsolescence by quickfingers 2012-04-23T02:44:00

Lovely music.

Faelanx by arkeus 2012-04-27T04:54:00

Solid game. I had a good time.

Angle Isle by Rusty Moyher 2012-04-23T06:23:00

Lovely game. I'd love to play this on my iphone.

Most of us live in a tiny world by jeffz 2012-04-25T06:35:00

Had some trouble running it in OSX/chrome.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/664907/Screenshots/43xi.png

Probably something on my end.

Breathe by mcc 2012-04-25T06:48:00

Really strange and wonderful. I liked it quite a bit.

Lost In Her Eye by Blengineer 2012-04-23T06:13:00

Terrifying and wonderful.

TinyColony by aaronsnoswell 2012-04-23T06:39:00

Nice job! I've totally got a soft spot for ant games.

Nano Ascension by mikelovesrobots3 2012-04-23T05:58:00

Fixed the 32-bit link. My apologies!

Nano Ascension by mikelovesrobots3 2012-04-23T07:02:00

@aaronnoswell It's funny, I had a friend ask me that same question. The font was ARCADE from 1001 free fonts. http://www.1001freefonts.com/Arcade.php

Thanks for the kind comments.

Ivory Kingdom by Stavu 2012-04-23T02:55:00

When I read the description, I was like: D: , but then later I was like: :D

Good Cell, Bad Cell by KhaoTom 2012-04-28T03:50:00

Not sure which cells were good and which were bad. I totally dug the blasting particle effects though.

Tiny Territories by badlydrawnrod 2012-04-28T04:06:00

I'm a sucker for vector vehicles and tanks. I just wish it had a way to restart quickly and maybe if the enemy tanks scrolled onto the playfield rather than popping into existence.

In any case, I enjoyed it. Cheers!

Tiny World Defense by Whoosy 2012-04-28T04:22:00

Liked the multiple-patterned asteroids.

Epic Scale Warfare by devwil 2012-04-25T06:30:00

Confused. It appears the only controls is the zoom in/out button.

Crashed on Minutiae Prime by zuurr 2012-04-28T04:47:00

I know that not much really happened, but I totally loved it. You can set a mood, my friend. I would love to play an extended version.

Tiny Cubic Maze World by tomhunt 2012-04-27T04:58:00

Loved the rotation effect. YOU ARE WIN!

Ecosim by cirolve 2012-04-23T06:58:00

Cell said it best. It is a nifty web toy.

Invasion Of Tiny World by gregdevice 2012-04-23T02:18:00

That's a really beautiful screenshot. (Best on the page for sure.) Fun!

Oomple by lurkingshadow 2012-04-28T05:02:00

Weird and interesting. This one is going to stick with me for a while.

Dragons of Pluto by Lusmu 2012-04-28T03:32:00

Pretty neat. I appreciated the fresh approach and rated well.

Controls were difficult. I kind of wished for WASD controls where W = forward, S backward, A and D strafe left / right and the dragon always faces your mouse.

Cheers. Nice job.

Professor Squeaks: The Circuitous Escape! by envy3d 2012-04-25T06:33:00

Had some trouble running it in OSX/chrome.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/664907/Screenshots/~4jk.png

Crystalbots by rynti 2012-04-27T05:41:00

Animation of the main character was surprisingly good.

Professor McSteen, and his shrinking machine by PerilousPete 2012-04-23T06:26:00

The jumping sound is kind of grating.

LD26 — Minimalism

ASCIIvader III by CataclysmicKnight 2013-04-30T03:42:00

Nice job. I loved purchasing level-ups and the ascii art was great.

Love Connection by Jon Reid 2013-04-29T19:53:00

Nice job. Loved the transitions and animations.

Fortuitous by Follett 2013-04-29T03:57:00

Nice color palette!

YLBIN by intripoon 2013-04-29T03:21:00

Pretty cool. Gamefield is a little big. I couldn't view the whole game at once on my 1280x800 laptop so scrolling was an additional challenge.

Citsilaminim by AngelDE98 2013-04-29T14:54:00

Very cool. I loved how blocks could push other blocks. The character movement was great too.

[placeholder] by mtrc 2013-05-20T06:15:00

Very nice. Loved the variety of puzzles and the movement was nice and tight.

No Color Allowed by Aaron San Filippo 2013-04-29T05:12:00

Pretty funny. Nice job!

DREAM by BahamutZaero 2013-04-30T03:22:00

Love the art style! Nice job!

Telekinetic Minimalist Cult 5: Packrat Nightmare by RobotLovesKitty 2013-04-30T03:54:00

Pretty fantastic.

raveGRID by sick 2013-04-29T03:18:00

I think it's too pretty a game to be web-only. In my experience, the Unity web plugin runs at about half the framerate of standalone builds.

Be The Wind by dstozek 2013-04-29T15:18:00

Amazing.

Killing Time by bobo72a 2013-04-29T03:45:00

Pretty cool story. Serving the html as a google document seemed weird. Maybe you could throw it up on dropbox instead?

Hipster Annihilator 9000 by deige101 2013-04-29T03:25:00

8-bit sprites were cool. Well, they were cool back when I did them originally...

Harmonize by dakeese 2013-04-30T03:25:00

Nice job. Loved it.

Time for Ascension! by sfernald 2013-04-29T19:59:00

"Covered in her blood, you wonder if she was really the one." Made me laugh. Awesome.

Shape of shades by allinlabs 2013-04-29T15:11:00

Very nice.

Nod by Rose 2013-04-29T05:00:00

I thought this was pretty amusing. Nice job!

RogueOut by badlydrawnrod 2013-04-29T19:40:00

Very cool. It cracked me up.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Safari by Parappa 2015-08-24T05:03:00

Nice. I loved the ending.

That Totally Done Wolf Game by otato 2015-08-24T03:27:00

I totally laughed out loud at the wolf eating animation.

Monster Truck Monster by adamwoolridge 2015-08-24T19:08:00

Great entry. Super fun. Nice looking. Great vehicle control. 5-stars.

Kong's Revenge by piopio 2015-08-25T18:52:00

I can't play it since I'm on mac (and thus not rating it), but brilliant idea. It looks great in the screenshots.

Adventures of Tic Tac (the cat) by namrog84 2015-08-24T03:36:00

As I was playing this, my cat totally projectile vomited from the top of the cat tree to the ground. Excellent game. Very true to life.

Tenebris Morte by FerraWare 2015-08-24T03:04:00

I liked the branching system. It was more fun than a traditional choose your own adventure twine-ish layout. Werewolf :D

Imperial Accountant by Ilseroth 2015-08-24T02:51:00

On osx, it doesn't look like the screens at all. All I can see are the candles. It was quite confusing.

Imperial Accountant by Ilseroth 2015-08-24T04:35:00

Gorgeous! Great job on the fixed osx build. It looks so fantastic.

The Last Demon by 9.ar7k 2015-08-24T04:17:00

Love the graphics.

Pusher by mikelovesrobots3 2015-08-24T07:31:00

@suese The win scenario is kind of cheap. Just don't push anybody until you make it to the finish line.

Pusher by mikelovesrobots3 2015-08-24T18:27:00

@miltage Ha. They did have knees at one point. My early walk cycle was awesome! But after the cinema4d fiasco I just animated it in unity.

Pusher by mikelovesrobots3 2015-08-24T18:28:00

@Flygamer101 I made the ragdolls using unity3d's ragdoll wizard: http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/wizard-RagdollWizard.html

If you've got the bones setup right, it's not too bad.

Slasher by Miltage 2015-08-24T05:30:00

Brilliant. Loved the chat boxes and the blood fountains spraying everywhere.
