So no real story or audio to speak of.
Run and dig down through the earth to escape flowing red stuff. The digging mechanic was more interesting than other versions, but the only the difference in modes was the speed of the lava.
Overall a nice game.
Interesting prototype, could have used some more mechanics to make it a real good game but a start.
Fun little thing. Would have loved to see the map layout change, if only between difficulties. Digging down is slower than sideways, which is a subtle touch to stop people from just trying to drill down forever.

Pretty cool gameplay, it was quite challenging at first, the lava that was just sitting there got me a number of times.
The graphics don't look that good, and there's no audio. Nevertheless, a nice little game. (And of course, bravo for using Love2D.)
I agree with dramble that it could have used more mechanics. Maybe some special blocks that required obtaining a certain item to break. I think some sound effects would have really made the digging mechanic more fun to use.
So... I escape the lava by going deeper in the earth, close to lava?

I also suspected you could just dig yourself in a high corner and sit it out. Nope. Doesn't work.
It would be better if the levels were generated or just different between difficulty modes. The still lava killed me a lot of times at first.

Cool gameplay and mechanic, but lacks polish. The way the lava expanded was really nice.
