LD23 — Tiny World

Crash Effect by koredozo 2012-04-24T00:58:00

I've only tested the game on Windows, but that sounds like a problem with LOVE in general (canvases are a pretty basic feature.) You might try compiling LOVE from scratch if you have the means. Or the usual 'upgrade your drivers' advice.

Crash Effect by koredozo 2012-04-25T02:01:00

After fruitlessly researching how to avoid that error without a performance hit, I'm considering it.

LOVE was fun to learn and use, but I'm surprised it doesn't have a software fallback for offscreen rendering.

Celluloid Combat! by Vertebro 2012-04-24T08:19:00

Clever little twist on Asteroids! Main suggestion I have is the bullets could be more visible.

Let me reiterate to other players that you NEED to install the font in the zip. The game will appear to run properly, but the HUD won't show up, and you won't know your score or ship health.

Your download link makes this pop up for me:

The Launch by DTG 2012-12-19T10:43:00

I found a cheat: if you click the damsel scream button nonstop the hero will be paralyzed with curiosity!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Love Hurts by koredozo 2015-04-20T03:29:00

I actually had a score counter implemented, but dynamic text display doesn't seem to work in either of Unity's web platforms.

The AFK47 by crockid5 2015-04-20T02:40:00

The concept is interesting, but I had a lot of issues that made it hard to enjoy the game and didn't play for very long.

* The game runs at about 5 FPS for me
* Often when you walk up to a door, you'll collide with it and stop at too far away a distance to actually open the door
* Climbing ladders is very slow and takes upwards of 30 seconds
* AI seems buggy, the second guard ignored me and would only walk into the wall opposite me

Their Own Worst Enemies by ObscenelyTrue 2015-04-20T19:26:00

Neat game with an unusual choice of platform!

I never tried it myself, but I noticed in the video you can 'win' a level if two enemies collide with you at the same time--that seems counterintuitive. Not a big problem, though, perhaps even a cool mechanic if it's introduced to the player in some way!

Teburu Furippu Do by zwartraider 2015-04-20T19:32:00

Quite a funny (and fun) game! Honestly, the main thing you could benefit from was another gameplay screenshot--with the low number of comments, I had my fingers crossed that it'd be an unfinished game where you'd be able to flip the table once and nothing else.

Was it inspired by Nanaca Crash at all? It feels similar even though it isn't based on bouncing.

Also, why no audio rating? The audio's great :(

FEATHERROCK by FuzzyWuzzie 2015-04-20T02:28:00

Great visual style (especially the intro) and interesting core mechanic, but I think the magic meter is a bit harsh. Even though you can restart instantly I think it would be more fun if you could play around in every level without a time limit.

Arthur and the Staff of Arbitrary Arrangement by Rscar 2015-04-20T02:52:00

Really fun little game!

My only complaint is that it's really hard to see archer projectiles. I also agree that some ambient sound and SFX, if not music, would have gone a long way.

Burrito Socorrista‏ by Gipzo 2015-04-21T09:42:00

Awesome game overall, very funny and fun. I think the area is a bit too large and samey though, it's tedious to run through the whole thing when there's no reason to explore besides 'you might find a bonus.'

Cupid's arrows by OadT 2015-04-20T06:08:00

Darn, and I thought my idea was original!

Your take on it is completely different though and quite fun. This concept has a lot of potential if you decide to make the game longer.

How To Teleport by bradur 2015-04-20T06:22:00

Fun little puzzle game! Sometimes keeping it simple is best. I think it could be improved by making the projectile move faster and adding zoom in/out keys, though.

Rotten Fruit of the death by siryakko 2015-04-20T19:38:00

Not a bad game!

A health bar would really help see your condition at a glance, and I agree the enemies would feel more like enemies if they could harm you in some way while you're not carrying the fruit.

Craneo Loco by fabriciopfs 2015-04-21T02:02:00

Fun once I figured out how to play. There are so many candles and flowers scattered around that can't be picked up that I thought the game was broken.

Also, on one attempt I spawned near a ghost and got killed while I was reading the tutorial text. You ought to be invulnerable until you click through it.

The Adventures of Band Boy by silentbaws 2015-04-21T02:16:00

Agreed on the movement being awkward. It's also a little annoying how the screen jerks every time you fire a shot.

Space Wizard by Kihira 2015-04-21T01:16:00

Since you can walk past some of the enemies, it would be nice if you could turn around to hit them from behind.

Pillow Fiiight by BoiPichu 2015-04-21T01:11:00

I wasn't able to move or jump, only attack. Not sure if that was because of a bug or because they aren't implemented.

That said, nice pixel art.

Pedestrian Mining Corps by mildmojo 2015-04-21T09:32:00

Agreed, concept doesn't feel like it has much longevity, but great graphics and music. Five minutes well spent.
