Great game! Very nice art, and the ending is really awesome :)
I think it's a beautiful game. I absolutely loved it. Personally I was happy just to play around with the little cube, and after a while I got so attached to it that I was willing to defend it with my own cube's life. So personally, I didn't feel like I needed a purpose. What I do think is that there should be a bigger variety of creatures and objects to interact with - things that will make this abstract world more explorable and playful for me and my baby cube. Also, I love the art, though I think the game could benefit from some music or background sounds.
Amazing job :)
Very interesting game. I've never played a lighthouse before :) Wonderful art and music!!
Very powerful game... I agree that you have really managed to capture the horror of suicide. It's a constant battle, and you only get to lose once (in real life, that is). Winning this game for me was almost as depressing as losing... :) Great job on the art and music. They really help to create the right mood.
Great game!! I had a lot of fun playing it! I'll be waiting for the post-compo version :)
I love the idea :) the graphics are simple but they work very well. I really enjoyed the controls, but the thing that made the game hard for me was insufficient time...
Very nice game. It was a bit easy for me but I guess that if I consider it to be the first level, it's perfectly fine. Good job :)
This game is awesome! I really loved it and enjoyed playing it! great work! :D
Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare!!
Really cool game! I think it has a lot of potential - Infecting stuff is awesome!
Art-wise, I think it would be nice to make the board look like a body part, that way you could start from the foot or something, and work your way up, infecting the whole body as you go :)
Hope to see you here next time!
That's really funny! Took me a while to figure out all I can do is move, while all the heroes are passing me by. Awesome :)
I played both the jam version and the updated version. The game is super fun and addictive, the graphics are really good and overall I think it has enormous potential. My only problem, and it's a big problem, was with the balance of the game. I feel like most of the time I keep getting stuff I don't need and just sit there watching the board fill up (I played a bunch of times, and it keeps happening). It's really frustrating. I don't know if it's intentional or just random, but either way it could use some tweaking. I think with a better balance this game could be really really great. Great Job!!
Really Great! Thank you for this game, enjoyed it a lot, and I'm definitely gonna name my future dog Pumpkin! <3
Really loved the game! It had a great atmosphere and clearly there was a lot of thought put into the game and level design. The graphics were also great. Like other players, I also felt the game was too punishing, and the movement of the "enemies" felt a little chaotic (also they move really fast). Also could use a mini map which would have helped me to better organise my actions. Great job!
adorable characters and lovely graphics. The mechanic has a lot of potential and itβs very fun to guess the price of things. The background feels a little empty, maybe add some elements with a little brighter colours to get a better sense of a busy colourful market. Maybe add an inventory system (say having up to 3 items in person) it could add to the complexity. Theme-wise it's unclear why being greedy is a negative thing, it's a market and Iβm trading goods that are offered to me. Maybe calling it reputation instead would fit better.
Concept is really nice, I like the building of the mechanics as you get more and more body parts. The mini-games were unnecessary, difficult and prevented me from finishing the game, which is too bad because I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed this game very much! I would definitely play an extended version of it. I had a lot of fun taking care of the peacock, and trying to figure out its mysteries. I also enjoyed balancing the different potions and prices every year. All in all I think this is a great entry, and very rich in content for such a short time!
I would love to see a full version with more content in the future (more events, more potions and other magical items to sell, more stuff to do and buy for your peacock, etc...)
I loved the atmosphere of the game, the music and the colour scheme are magical and calming. Great entry and thank you for this game! :)
It's a nice game, it's full of atmosphere and the art is really great. I encountered several bugs that prevented me from finishing the game - the torch sometimes disappears, or stops responding (I'm using a mac). overall it was enjoyable. Good job :)
I really liked it! The gameplay is really unique and interesting. This is one of the most impressive entries I've seen for this Ludum Dare. Good work!
Looks like an amazing game, but I can't play it. In order to play it I need to make it fullscreen (otherwise it's too big for the window and I can't zoom out), but then I need to close the menu and when I click ESC it exits the fullscreen. (I'm playing on mac + Chrome)
I really wanna play it XD
@rongo-matane I played it now :) It helps that I can close the menu with P. It's really great, really well made. Amazing graphics and color palette. Great feel to the game. I can see this being further developed into a larger game, yet it totally stands on its own right now and super impressive for 3 days of work.
I really loved it! The story, the puzzles, the music, the atmosphere. It's all really great. This is definitely my favourite entry.
I think the interface could use some small tweaks - - When hovering on something intractable in the room, to have some text saying what it is. - When trying to use the wrong item on something - to have a specific reaction, instead of the usual text. - The text takes time to appear, and sometimes I get the same text (like when pressing on the book shelves trying to look at different stuff) and It's annoying to have to wait for it to end when I've already read it. This happens a lot.
Great Entry!!!
