Well, there wasn't much gameplay except of looking at objects and moving, but the theme and graphics are really good.

Nice so far. The difficulty is okay, because you don't have to restart the whole game. But you shouldn't put such a hard beginning there (the following levels are way easier than the 1.) I died countless times the first level, after that, I only died at the situation you have to go a Z-shaped route. Is it possible there is a mapping error? I can't continue my way when I reached the floor behind the "spikes" at the bottom. The conveyors are imo placed in your way, also the end/start/middle parts are screwed up. You should explain the controls, moving up didn't work with W for me + display "Press R to restart" or sth like that when you are dead.
I use Window Vista 32bit, the game works, but I can't finish it - or I'm simply too stupid ^^

I'm sorry, I'd really want to play and rate it, but the game is uncontrollable :( Please make a post-compo version with improved controls. Getting stuck in walls and mid-air really kills the fun, also touching = death&restart makes the game a bit too difficult. Also, if you turn around or do other things you stop moving, which always kills me :(

@QXD-me: well, now, after the compo, I can fully understand your opinion regarding the theme. I think I neglected the theme in the game itself while tring to have it in my title. At first, my start screen wasn't that full, later on I added more lines, so I can see what you mean. Nowadays, thers a help menu in the pause menu, but you are right if you don't rate that, because this was added in the post-compo version ;-)

@philhassey: Yes, some rocks (other stuff too) will fly to locations you can't reach, that's because of the function that blocks movement. I didn't want the player to be half-visible on the screen, so I blocked the movement on edge tiles. What do you mean by carrot-growing? The strawberries? ^^
@Milo: Yeah, that's what I saw too, the berries are the most effective plant. However, the game is unbalanced due to the time :P
@Aaron: Yes, I see those links can be distracting. The thing is, I don't want people to play buggy games, when there is a fixed version. There were several bugs I encountered when testing, so I fixed them, and on the way, added sound. So when rating the game, sound shouldn't be rated, cause in the compo-version there is none.

Good graphics, audio, theme and idea. However, once your panic counter is red, the character becomes completely uncontrollable and, as a result, dies. Didn't manage to reach the second area due to this :(

Physics behaved really strange and funny, you could actually glitch up walls, by running against them while jumping - I'll just count that as "walljumping" ^^ The stop of movement when you jumped or turned around also was a bit irritating, but I've managed to move. The graphics could use work, also a walking animation would be nice. :-)

As you can see from the source code, "more food" was originally called "better eyes (sees more food)" ^^
Ok, so I played your game! :) Some issues: I died in lvl 3 (or so) and when i pressed R i spawned in another room, you can get negative HP, and if you attack while landing you will glitch thru the floor (and might die). The archers remind me of Kyle Broslovski somehow ^^
First of all, the game has a VERY long start time (~2min) on windows. But it loads, just be patient. Secondly, it took me a while to figure out I has to use Y instead of Z for action (that's why me and many others would allow both keys in that case). Thirdly the left and right were way too far away from each other. You would have to risk to get run over, you moved to slow, so at the middle of the map, the side you just left was full of "ripe" cars. Nice idea though :)
Nice game, but I was quite happy it was over after one level ^^. Yes, it is hard, but for 1 level okay :)
Long game, and quite interesting. You basically dodge projectiles while holding your mouse button, occasionally checking if the breaker is charged, and then firing it (and dying). You can shoot while exploding and theres a typo (Back to ti(t)le. At first I thought: 5 ships? I won't even need 1 extra ship. Then I got on level 2 and thought: 5 ships? I'll never make it! I died at the level with the big central skyscraper.
I'm just interested, how fast does this game run? And how many citizens does it have? Really cool stealth game, I liked that mechanic: You stab someone, quickly grab the money, quickly run away, hope nobody has seen you. Nice game! :)
Nice idea in the introduction. But when I started to play, I had to find out the goal is to get him to visit all stationary goats. Pixel graphics ftw, but those goats look like bunnies ^^ Oh, and I couldn't get past the second stage, because every time I tried to make him not reach that brown...stuff he somehow glitched through that wall left of it. The whole movement was quite... "unsmooth" and did not feel very good.
Addicting game! Just the idea - brilliant! And very much fun, once I found out how to collect multiple coins efficiently. 29 is my record :)

Wow! This gets full on mood, because I was literally trembling of "what will happen next?". Also, nice and very fitting sound, graphics and... well... yeah the story. I played it twice: First I collected everything, tried to attack that volcano, destroyed my sword, ran away, and got stuck in one of the slimes. The second time I tried collecting all (75 ?) res, and went back to my start, but nothing happened? So you are actually intended to fail? Anyway, was a really "scary" game - in its own way :)
Nice, I got 2900. This is like "I'm packing my suitcase", a german children's game, just with much more gore ^^ Some splat-sounds or animations would also have been great :)

Nice graphics. But (seemingly) unreachable gems, weird physics, "unexpected" hitboxes, a lack of savepoints, (at first) quite unnoticable spikes and the repetitive gameplay made me quit before I finished. Stuff like getting the ducks was nice, but for a LD game, this is too difficult. The audio was quite ok. Nice job though :)

Got 38 before quitting. The physics are very blobby and the colors... well 50 shades of grey the game describes it very well ^^ In Firefox, the controls didnt work properly (because of search bar) and in Opera the sound was off, so I couldn't rate audio.
Interesting, a quiz game. But it sooo lacked sound! Some speech/jingles/sound effects/music (other than bdum.ogg) would have spiced this up so much! Something else: Don't name it windows_standalone. When unpacking I had to specify the name myself first ^^
Could become a nice game! It was good the controls were written on top of the page, always visible, and the music was very cood indeed. But the game quickly got very laggy, I was hit without knowing why, when escaping there was a neverending row of ships I has to fly by, and it seems you try to play the "your ship got destroyed" animaton every time your hp is under 0 or something like that, which results in infinite destroying sounds and explosions, because the enemies keep hitting you.
Took me a while to find out how to actually kill someone without losing the game. But once I got it: Those laughters and screams xD Also, VERY fitting music!

One of the best entries! Very good idea, very good work on the AI, but veeery hard as well. Couldn't complete because the game got stuck in an animation while some people passed the door. The game did not freeze, but nothing happened anymore, except of music playing the the guy doing the lift-the-gate-animation. Really well polished though!

Very nice! Great music, no glitches found, good idea and theme connection. I see how this could have been much bigger. It got easy once I got the poison darts, but that's ok since the game is over then anyway ^^
Lags? How old is your computer, I tested it on several machines and there was no lag at all ^^

Nice game! At first I was expecting troop movement on the world, did not quite understand the goon and invade system.
Also, the percentage at each city was confusing: What did it tell me? As soon as I could launch missiles for 1000$ the game was very easy: Launch & invade -> got city. Very villainous game :)
The collision box with the spikes was very annoying. I was missing music/sound effects. And for me, I did not really feel like some sort of villain (just like some zelda-like-char fighting througt rooms). However, it was a playable game. :)
Nice idea! Some animations/effects/music and stuff would have made this an even better game. Tower defence in a new way! 89 kills was my record ^^

Perhaps you could make a non-install version? Many people (including me) usually don't like to install every game they tets, so they skip those (but since this is my secondly rated game, I made an exception ;-). Nice idea. At first I thought: Just keep walking? But that quickly proved unsuccessful. However, I finished it with both characters. Nice city graphics, but no animation -> :(
Cool audio! Somehow, I also felt a bit like the spider, since those people were SO SMALL, and looked all the same ^^
That was an interesting game. So simple mechanics and idea, and yet so much potential ^^
However, I was having serveral troubles with this game. First of all, the physics were very glitchy, and I often slided off the corpses.
Secondly, the sound was fitting, but in my opinion, quite annoying. Furthermore, the game did not exit properly each time I started it.
But most importantly, the controls felt very unconfortable for me. Pressing spacebar each time I wanted to rip a skull costed precious time, since I'm not quite used to that sort of key layout. I'd have preferred to have it on left shift or something - probably because I use the left hand for the mouse :) Still, nice idea!
The big + were definitely the graphics. I might have played it completely wrong, but it got boring after some time to fire seeking missiles into loads of enemy ships while your own ship is close to undestroyable (and that's good, since the amount of enemies is so high, strategy is pretty much useless here. But yeah, I definitely liked the graphics. Oh, and are you connected to Tunngle in any way? (cause of your avatar) ^^

Poor space invader aliens :( Now I truly know how they gotta feel. However, I was having some trouble shooting and moving at the same time (either I use my attention on incoming shots, I aim, or I just spam bullets and get killed). Nice game! :D
I always use 2 boolean[], and when a key gets pressed, I use switch(keycode) in a function, which "converts" keycode to actual key index in the boolean[]'s. now i look if boolean[] no. 2 is true at that pos, if not, set both arrays to true on that index. in the key up, i again get the key index by the keycode and set both boolean[] at that index to false.
Why that? Well, if you want to use "hold", just look of boolean[] no. 1 is true at that index, if you want to use "click (and ignore if key stays pressed)" return the index of boolean[] no. 1 and set it to false.

Would play it, if it becomes playable ^^
First game I've played so far. Nice idea.
Also, Java ftw :D
I quit at level 50 because there is still so much more to try out^^
Good choice with the upgrade system. I noticed how range is actually bad, because it makes towers target enemies which are already targeted by towers farther to the right thus wasting shots.
It's actually also grey ^^
Definitely theme: Straigt up shoot everybody.
It was a bit annoying that you can lose multiple lifes on one enemy.
Some bug with the sprite flip: When walking diagonally the sprite sometimes remains in the left/right pos while the figure is actually shooting at the correct side.
Oh, and the fire button is X everybody.
I wanted to reduce everything down to this cycle:
1. You do stuff (work) which is monotonous but also needs reflexes.
2. You spend your money in the casino, where you don't have to do anything but clicking a button and see if you are lucky.
3. If you get lucky, you win. And there's a way to almost "ensure" you will get lucky.
Alternatively you could just work for the debt ^^
That game was "Spacewars". It works quite good, obviously needs some improvement, but was just not really fitting to the theme. So I guess it will end like Danger!, Revolution, Goatz, and all the other unfinished games: Unfinished. ^^
Except for the glitchy movement and stuck in walls on screenchange it was quite nice. Not so minimal for a LD game I'd say ;-)
Wow! Great idea! :D At first I had no idea what to do because of the simple rectangles and after them this block thing, but i found out you actually need to start the line outside the marked area. ^^
After installing the file from the link in your second support comment (you should really put the link in the description) I got it running. Nice idea, definitely minimalistic (at first I also wanted to make a sort of "demake") but I agree with Gama11, those things would have made the game a little bit better :)
