I really like the simple but brutal deaths (including corpses). The platforming works but it feels a bit slippery sometimes.

Not that bad. But it's a real shame that the game has no progress in difficulty. I died once or twice - a pity the game just stops, btw - before I had the controls figured out, and once I did, it wasn't that hard to keep in front of the boulder.
Keep it up!
Nice atmosphere, but a little short on gameplay. I'm not quite sure 'simply drawn' graphics lend themselves for point 'n' click games - objects were so big that clicking and moving stuff solved all your problems before you know why.
Interesting. A bit uncomfortable to play and some pieces duplicated when I killed myself. You also kept the bombs for some reason.
A bit too tedious to keep playing for a longer time, imo.
I love this game!
The no checkpoint system is a bit harsh for my taste, though. Mostly because some enemies seem to spawn at a random point, making it somewhat unpredictable. Playing the same level over and over again is somewhat tiring; I only played the first 2 levels.
But the great storyline, nice soundtrack (though with some hiccups), decent graphics - I agree with Tellus, the bridge was confusing - and fair gameplay all made this a definite five outa five.
A pretty decent game. It worked as you would expect - to the point where you could accidentally shoot the escapees - and the game was fun and exciting to play.
The only thing I wasn't so fond of was the graphical style. I feel the retro-ish graphics don't quite fit with the smooth scenic background. It's a bit of an odd mix, in my opinion.
I know it's a bit short sighted to say, but at first glance I thought the escapees were black slaves.
Great game. Not always a lot of fun to play though. I could've done without the moving blocks. Seems kinda odd that when I accidentally fall out of the level, I fail at killing myself and need to try again.
Interesting concept, but it's not really all that much contentwise.
A game about a cat, yay! I really like the simple graphics and the nice water. I was a bit put down by the harshness of it, though; it seemed collecting the orbs was really inefficient, but having only 4 lives is pretty unforgiving. I would have loved to play more of it.
Nice game, but a little lacking on the fun side. The absence of danger, I think. But good work!
Yup, same error here. Windows 7 64 bit as well.
I found the game to be too unforgiving. I could hardly move my mouse away from the object enough to actually see which direction it was turning in. I felt like I had no control, which for me ruined the game a bit.
What is this? Why am I attacking the girl I love with floating eyeballs? Perhaps it all makes sense after the second level, but this game is rather odd.
Which makes it all the more intriguing.
NOOOOOOO! You are such a meany. D:
But asides that, FUCKING EPIC. Really well done.
This game is amazing. The atmosphere is really haunting and put together. I love the logs and crazy bulletin boards.
Fucking epic.
I'm pleasently surprised by all the positive remarks. Thanks!
And yes, I realise the game is pretty difficult. For some reason all my games are. I guess it's because I'm usually the only playtester.
@Stargoat
The standard shooting skulls have orange eyes, whereas the melee skulls have red, glowing eyes. Just a nuance, I guess.
Also, the gold is part of the backdrop/story, but has no real gameplay purpose.
I think the controls are a bit fiddly and sometimes buggy, but overall I think this is a great game. The concept of leaving the damsel in distress behind, is quit brilliant.
Nice work, Sheep!
Although the concept is very interesting, it wasn't really fun. At least some indication of if I was heading in the right direction would have been nice. I was a bit put off after I found the metal, since I had to drop the rope and I hadn't a clue where I had left the driftwood. But the audio and mood where awesome. Good job.
The controls are a bit fiddly, especially with such direct camera control. You cannot see what's below you and above you is nothing of interest.
More importantly, the concept wasn't really clear to me. Some enemies could hurt me but others couldn't, right? I think it had something to do with if they were transparent, but it didn't make the game any clearer.
The ending is a bit abrupt, but oh well.
And yes, you might try entering the Jam instead, because those are some neat graphics.
I wasn't able to enjoy this game. I felt completely out of control; when you hit a planet, your ship shot into the other direction without any loss of momentum, making it feel more like pinball.
Hmm. Not really great, to be honest. If anything, the minigames were complete unrelated to the theme of the game. Why is there such a backstory when the rest of the game is so casual?
Also, I think assuming every player is a Java programmer, is a faux-pas when making a game.
Dear god I'm terrible at this. But the pew pew was great.
A minor remark: add an @echo on at the end of your .bat, or it might inflict with other things people'd like to do.
I really like the bizarrity of the concept, but the game itself was pretty much unplayable for me (on Windows 7). The game was lagging immensely and the collision detection of the bees seemed to make no sense at all.
It looks like it has a lot of potential, but figuring out what was happening was nigh impossible for me. Even the tutorial text disappeared too fast. It looks like a nice bit of defensive RTS, but the UI just wasn't intuitive enough to make it enjoyable.
Nice to see someone else going with the spaceship thing. I liked the unhelpful onboard computer.
The game itself was really confusing, though. I wasn't sure how to get the hat back in the cupboard without not having stolen it (if that makes sense).
But overall, good job.
Very clever scaling mechanic, I like it.
Very well polished. Good job!
Great concept! Loving the way you float of to space helplessly just when you can see the next red object. I managed to get 2 my first try.
I'm unsure if it's intentional, but the dude wasn't looking were he was walking most of the time.
Nice, simplistic gameplay concept. The physics don't feel entirely fluid, though; especially near wormholes. But overall, very well done.
This game got too hard too fast. I didn't realise you had to overcome one obstacle at a time at first, and the surprise arrows didn't really add anything. Also, the tiny graphics did little to add atmosphere; they just made the game harder.
Not a bad game at all, just not very enjoyable.
Humourless and somewhat depressing. I can see what you were going for but the lack of actual fun made it more like a presentation on moral rights than an enjoyable game.
Thanks for the feedback, guys!
I was hoping the walls and floor were different enough, but I can definitely see why they weren't. I agree that sound effects might have made it clearer on what is going on.
The idea of keeping the camera still after moving a crewmember, is pretty clever and I'm not sure why I didn't pick up on that (time pressure, I presume).
Regarding oxygen, you do realise the oxygen levels are also indicated on your crewmembers (if you zoom in a bit)? It even shows you how much oxygen you'll have left after moving.
At any rate, loving the constructive feedback so far. I'll might just look into further developping this game.
ilo: Good ideas. I had plans to integrate some of them, but I didn't get to it.
tripleVisionGames: Sure thing.
Mac peeps: I'm afraid I have no Mac build, sorry.
Not bad, but the controls seemed a bit fiddly to me. Why not just left-mouse to move, right-mouse to shoot?
At any rate, seeing thousands of bullets flying around was satisfying.
Get offa mah propertah!
Works great, clear, clever and well executed link to the theme.
Also, tophats.
Had problems running on Windows 7. The music played, but no game screen appeared.
I couldn't quite understand the gameplay; how do I spawn humns as opposed to random tiles? Also, I heard no music, so the audio of beeps and blarghs was a bit tedious. But overall not that bad.
Awesome! I really like the concept, and it looks decent as well. Good job.
You twisted souls!
I really like the two-sided concept, and the execution is pretty good. Well done.
It was really hard to figure out what was happening. The atomihook controls were a bit awkward. Also, it might have been a nice touch to show which atom you currently are.
