No instructions, couldn't really figure out what to do. I'm supposed to mine, and build turrets on cell walls? Meh, dunno. Wasn't fun.

The music definitely got to me a while and the camera was hard to deal with as it moved so much while I was trying to click on the menu. It was a cool idea and I kinda figured things out after a while, but I had a hard time with this. Maybe with more time you can introduce the player to the concepts more clearly :).

The game crashed my firefox before I got a chance to play it. :c

I sense a lot of potential and a lot of ideas, but like everyone else I had trouble figuring out what was going on! It would be nice to have some sort of text explanation which nanobots are which types. Some introductory sort of tutorial would be nice too :)

I read the instructions on your jam page, but I was still confused and unclear of the objective.

I didn't understand what I was supposed to do, to be honest. I got a few actions and stuff going, but nothing that actually resulted in real progress. It was kind of cool watching my cell mutate though.

I made some things ram into some planets!

Hi! We are realy gratefull for every comment here. Ww know our game is not completly finished and there are lot of bugs, but we are doing our best to fix it. Yeah, deadline is over, I know, but anyway - we want to finish it.
We also know it is quite complicated to play... We wanted to make tutorial and five levels (everyone for about three minutes of playing) but this is our first ludum dare so we overstimated our skil. We are sorry, but we did our best.

I´ll give you some small tutorial:

You use your engineer bot to prepare cell core for augumentations. It can also build power stations on mitichondrias. (And then you can get oxygen from it.)

You use your miner to mine resources from that yellow cell (it is fat, actually.)

You use your builder bot to make buildings in your cell core. There can be only one building. (HQ, barracas, turret)

You use your warbots to kill virus and bacterias.

Your goal is to kill every virus and bacterias, but they can multiply by destroing your cell. (As I say, we wanted five levels)

Others are working on tutorial now... :-)

Loved the mining "animation", the gameplay was sort of "meh" though.
The UI could use a bit more work, maybe a radial menu around the unit instead of the boxes in the corner.
I guess playing it enough to actually get the gameplay would sort that problem.

qaterknan 2012-04-24 19:47

Ace: Radial menu is really good idea. We couldn't come up with better solution than this menu and hotkeys a,s,d,f but radial menu is much better! Thanks :)

robcozzens 2012-04-28 03:36

Wow. It looks like you put a LOT of work into this, but I had no idea what was going on.

summaky 2012-04-28 10:02

OK, I had the hardest time finishing the tutorial, but I did! :-D

The tutorial is hard to follow the first time because it doesn't wait for me to select the unit that it I am supposed the use, and then the next instruction pops up... But, it wasn't until the 4th time or so that I also found out that the warriors could be moved by the other mouse button! I was so frustrated by then that I gave up.

For me, the idea is sound and the graphics are cool. It is the starting difficulty that throw me off. The music is also a little bit irritating and the controls aren't as smooth as they could be, in my opinion. This game fits the theme perfectly.

sliv 2012-04-29 11:40

It looks like it has a lot of potential, but figuring out what was happening was nigh impossible for me. Even the tutorial text disappeared too fast. It looks like a nice bit of defensive RTS, but the UI just wasn't intuitive enough to make it enjoyable.

Loved the look-n-feel

datamosh 2012-05-03 08:12

It's... complex strategy, so I like that. I like the many options of units and buildings. It's a shame that this was a very confusing experience, though. But actually, really impressive for so little development time!

catman 2012-05-07 16:39

Cool music! The game is hard tho, especially controlling the camera.

make-a-game 2012-05-14 00:00

I like the look of it, but the tutorial is hard to follow when it keeps constantly changing the text (which is hard to read due to low contrast).
