LD21 — Escape

Shapechanger (incomplete) by Goldendice 2011-08-21T16:38:00

Should be fixed now.

What program is needed to play?

LD22 — Alone

Catspace by VDOgamez 2011-12-21T07:41:00

Took me a while to figure out I could rotate. Also, it seemed like one of the switches was the same color as the generic dots, so it was very difficult to turn it on/off. The 3D effect was impressive, though.

Loot Alone by karnakgames 2011-12-20T07:22:00

Not much in the way of decision making. In fact, when I decided to forgo opening treasure chests on my first run, it still said "Ooh, a sword" when I had not even picked it up. Moving forward and continuing dialogue don't make a game alone. Nonetheless, it's good that you're learning about coding. You should definitely be able to make bigger and better things in the future.

Desert Adventure (with Kittens) by Fififox 2011-12-21T07:59:00

Interesting concept, but a few complaints: I didn't necessarily want to enter the cave after reading the sign (not like I had a choice anyways) and the sign made no sense in context (although I'm amused that I'm not the only person to reference that phrase in their game). In general, descriptions seemed to be lacking- there was often reference to objects whose existence was not declared (although this seemed to get better further in). The death counter amused me, but it seemed easier to just choose "wrong" (since they allow reload) than to try to go as long as possible without dying. I got all 8 deaths. Also, yay Nyan cat!

They Hunger by Cell 2011-12-20T06:56:00

I had a lot of trouble getting even four relics until I remembered the instructions: Mouse = aim and shoot. After I realized I could shoot, it only took me one attempt to beat the game. The trick is holding down the mouse button for autofire - the bullets don't just kill zen, they also light your path (nice touch, by the way, Cell). By using it to scout and eliminate all zed in the vicinity, by staying mostly in the open and going around the edges of the map, it's actually not that hard to get all the relics (the most difficult is in tight corners with lots of zen, but even that's doable). Their speed doesn't matter if they don't even see you coming.

Sinkhole by Shaun Inman 2011-12-21T08:32:00

Definitely some problems with location changing while turning. Often when I'll turn, I end up inside of a wall. One time this got me eaten by a monster. Another time it got me stuck. It also seems to prevent normal movement through narrow/twisty sections. The 'absent' monsters are scary as heck.

Soloing by Goldendice 2011-12-24T05:25:00

@SonnyBone: Yeah, there were several black screens either a. because it was dark or b. because none of the images I made seemed appropriate. And it wasn't paper - all I used were a bag full of dice and my own voice.

Alone on a raid by adventureloop 2011-12-20T07:10:00

Sorry, no Mac. No iPhone. Any way of making it cross-platform?

I Was Here by yosh 2011-12-21T08:15:00

It feels really eerie the second time you see the I was here sign. The books were off grammatically and I couldn't even manage to get to one (in the far lower right of the map I believe). I don't think I missed any powerups.

Astronaut Alone by mnem 2011-12-23T07:38:00

Somewhat too easy, but that shouldn't be too hard to fix if given more time. Good job!

Ending Messages Suck by Rusky 2011-12-20T07:44:00

I'm surprised I was able to beat all 6 levels. It seemed like there were many ways to complete the levels (especially with diagonal jumps), but that's much better than it being frustrating to complete (which it wasn't).

Alone in the universe by ddr2 2011-12-20T07:31:00

I got the controls (up/down, left/right) and how to score points, but I feel a sense of loss on what I'm doing and why. What am /i? What are the expanding dots?
