Before people start complaining about the doors in my game, I am aware that some are having trouble opening them. Its to do with the collisions. I didn't have time to correct this before the comp ended so please don't let this dampen your experience. The best way to open them is to spin your character around with your mouse. Thanks Everyone :D

most of the lasers don't do damage, so there is sort of a meta game of 'walk through all the lasers to see which ones actually hurt' going on. the doors worked fine though!
Well I'm glad they worked for you. I had many problems with collisions, hope people still enjoy it though :D

Nice work man! I love the graphics. Is that real 3D or simulated with sprite/location calculations? The collisions did get a bit annoying, but I still beat it and had fun :)
Congrats on your first LD, Snuffypot11 :)
To be honest, I'm biased against GameMaker so I sighed after I saw the icon of the download, but then you surprised me in a good way. The game used some clever designs, like the question marks, that I really liked and your introduction of elements was really nice. I'm sorry that you didn't get everything in that you wanted (part of everybody's first dare experience, of course), but you did a pretty good job considering that. :)
@Aaron - Thanks, Im glad you enjoyed it.
@Whilefun - The 3D is simulated by telling gamemaker to draw an object at a certain size at a certain position. the collisions and everything else is all done on a 2D plane. It's called 2.5D

Like before, I really like how you render the walls and the doors, the effect works nicely.
And sometimes we stick on the walls but still fun to play.
lol gamemaker and your incompatibility with ubuntu.

Nice gamemakergame, loved the rendering, had minor problems with the doors, took no damage in the entire game. :)

I actually laughed out loud at the end, which made playing through worth it. However, I hope that there wasn't a masterwork of music that played because I had lost all hearing when I chewed off my ears from the awful music that played during the game.

as with basicly all gamemaker games, unfortunately doesn't fully run under WINE so I can't properly rate :/

The mazes were nice, but the music was a bit grating. The collision glitches were not only with the doors, but sometimes you would stick to walls as well.
Cheers to your first LD :-)
Thanks to everyone who has played and rated my game. I am no music composer and am well aware of the terrible music, please just put up with it or mute your PC's sound :D
Some iffy collision detection, but overall a solid entry. Some more variety would have been nice, both in music and in level design, but with only 48 hours, there's a good amount in here. Good 3D effect, would have been cool if the lighting also seemed 3D.
Not a bad first entry.
I was a little bored just walking through tunnels, I wish there was more to do other than walk around and collect keys.
The music was pretty awful, but better than nothing.
The 2.5d effect is cool, and the ending was pretty funny (if cheesy).
