Cool :D
Ugh. You have written you are inexperienced, but the controls are the worst I have ever came across. When you put your gun away you stop moving. When you turn to the opposite direction you stop moving. And not alwasy starts moving when I'm pressing the button.
The game is like a slideshow on my Core2 Quad with 1GB DDR3.
The effort to make all your own assets really showed in how integrated everything feels. I do wished you guys spent more time on the controls and gameplay though--that's how the player interacts with your world, right? You want that to be a smooth as possible. The small things added up and my experience wasn't quite so fun, but I definitely see what you guys wanted to do and I hope you keep polishing it. Solid work. :)
I'm sorry, I'd really want to play and rate it, but the game is uncontrollable :( Please make a post-compo version with improved controls. Getting stuck in walls and mid-air really kills the fun, also touching = death&restart makes the game a bit too difficult. Also, if you turn around or do other things you stop moving, which always kills me :(
Like the graphics so far! :)
Thanks for the feedback guys! If we find that we have enough content to change to make a post-compo then we probably will. So keep commenting for what you wanted to see changed or added!
I kept clinging to walls...

The controls are really bad and I don't really understand why I'm walking around shooting things - it's not very representative of an internal mental struggle (well, maybe the bad controls are).
On the other hand it doesn't look too bad, though the lack of a player walking animation was off-putting (players will spend most of the time looking at their avatar in a 3rd person game so make sure that looks good). The music and sounds were also pretty good, but the random loud noises in the music seemed a bit... amateur perhaps??? Overall I thought the sound was fairly good though.
