Cool :D

I love the audio and the gameplay, although I feel that you should always atleast be able to see one tile away from you, because the dark just got annoying. But very original, and it fit the theme well.

@Cell Thanks! :D

@nate427 Yeah, I was worried about how punishing it was for the player, which was why I put in the light things. If I'd not have spent so much time messing with the sound stuff, then I would have tackled with some balance issues like that.

After eating too much candy, your difficult-teen-years kid smashes the precious family heirloom mirror and takes of into the woods. You take off in pursuit but the short day time makes things really hard to see at night, so unless you have a good memory you may find yourself running out of the extremely short-lived puff-lights very soon, and then writing silly stories in the game comments while waiting for sun-up. Eventually though you will find that little rascal and send him to his room with no supper.
Nice work!

I liked the idea, it is fun to play.
Unfortunately, the darkness moments create loads of frustration and made me rage-quit. Maybe if the torches stayed on for longer, or there were some clues of where to go it'll make it more fun.

Cool game! Nice work on the audio :)

Thanks everyone!

@Manoloko I know, it's the worst part of the game. I really should have done something like what nate427 said. The torches were a last minute addition, because I thought the game was too punishing.

It's throwing up windows like crazy and then crashes...

incobalt 2012-01-10 02:08

@rawbits What OS are you using? No one else has reported any problems with getting it to run, so that puzzles me >.>
