LD21 — Escape

Escausage by jplur 2011-08-22T21:29:00

this is so stupid I love it :D

A Helicopter Named Freedom! by Codexus 2011-08-22T21:36:00

Reminds me of Sim Copter which I loved to play. I had fun contemplating with a buddy why the inmates keep waving instead of running to the chopper when it's just a few meters away :P

I was disappointed that I could get on that big mountain.

Pointless Spheres From Above by pragmascript 2011-08-22T17:55:00

I like how nicely these simple shapes are rendered. I know that's mostly thanks to unity but I appreciate it. It made me think of The Witness for some reason. But then it turned into a 3D plattformer.

Those spinning plates really made me motion sick. I didn't know that a game could do that to me. And I could swear that there was an invisible wall when I tried to cross the finish line for the first 4 times, but I made it in the end.

Mouse sensitivity is a bit too high for my taste.

Don't Let 'Em... by headchant 2011-08-22T22:36:00

nice music, funny gameplay

I Think In A Minute Or So I Will Explode by Hangedman 2011-08-23T16:35:00

Nice and easy to get into. I like it.

Escape Lines by henrypenface 2011-08-22T22:09:00

many people died today...
last level is too easy :P

Elastic Prison by bitbof 2011-08-23T13:58:00

@Jorjon Try downloading it again. I fixed the native library path.

Prison Planet Trench Escape by Doddler 2011-08-22T20:39:00

The presentation is nicely done. I like the drawings in the intro. The gameplay is straightforward and easy to grasp. I think it would have been nice to give the player a bit more room, because it gets pretty crammed with just a few enemies.

Ambrose leaves by onzephyr 2011-08-22T22:20:00

I don't really get why he is collecting buckets of bricks and streetlight.
It's a bit too dark to doge black walls. Works fine in Chrome except for the audio.

Don't ESCape by Urfoex 2011-08-22T21:01:00

I like that to you need to know how to control this game to get to the help screen :P Level 2 is pretty rage inducing.

Extreme Beatboxing Bird Jailbreak by Cosine 2011-09-13T13:23:00

This is a nice exercise. Getting all closed hats right can be hard, but I made it through!

LD22 — Alone

Statue by zazery 2011-12-20T21:39:00

I got a sense of achievement for reaching the kitten thingy
and falling into the void after climbing over the cave system
with a few double jumps. Getting all symbols, on the other
hand, wasn't really rewarding. But I liked that the game was
straight forward, with not too much confusion and waiting.

It's true, the controls are glitchy and too slippery. Double
jumping appeared to deliberately troll me when I was just
about to reach something important.

Some walking animations would have been nice, and easy for
you to make. It's also not real retro pixel art style because
the player floats between pixels. This isn't necessarily bad,
though. Overall it looks okay.

Abandon by Acheron 2011-12-20T19:21:00

I think your game did a good job at making me feel like I knew what to do. At first I had to find my friend and then I had to search the world for clothing items and bring them back to my "friend". The concept of having to do challenging jumps and not getting lost seems okay.

However I felt that the world was too big. I like the ideas of fractals and huge structures but I'm not particularly interested in having to walk repeatedly back and fourth great distances. It feels like a waste of time.

The jumping felt floaty. I'm not sure if this is preset by Unity but I remember a game from last LD that was the same in that regard. Put some more effort into that since it's easy with Unity.

It felt pretty unrewarding when my friend was finally fully clothed. Something more than 6/6 would have been nice....even a simple "fuck you" would have given me better closure.

I can't say that I was immersed in your world, but I liked the concept of searching for a half naked friend who turns out to be a lifeless thing...and then feeling the urge to dress him up. Living alone in a 3d fractal makes the best of us go crazy I guess.

Final Trip Soccer by Benjamin 2011-12-21T01:02:00

Great job man.
Really fun and creative. I love how much effort you put
into the intro. It sets the mood quite well. I plowed
through all stages without dying once(having watched a
buddy play it before me)

It feels all very snappy and responsive, and the effects
illustrate in an enjoyable way what's going on.

There is a lot to learn from this entry.

Kitty Box by LandsharkRAWR 2011-12-21T01:44:00

The cat animations aren't bad. Not really a game though, once you get it.

Solitude-76 by code_glitch 2011-12-21T00:31:00

I think the game is glitching out for me, especially when I try to switch between the different interfaces. This makes it unplayable/it's confusing as hell. :/
I'm running Win7 if that helps.
Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/e4lLo.jpg

Also I'm not a fan of unstoppable intros each time I start a game.

Audire by Rusty Moyher 2011-12-22T01:22:00

I don't think I get it, though I reached the end.

Graphics were okay. Collision was weird at times.

Co-op Land by bitbof 2011-12-19T22:51:00

@Yezu How about the Desktop version?

Lava Kittens by Mjiig 2011-12-20T22:51:00

Yeah there can obviously be done a lot about
this game, but I still think it's decent. It
works, it feels fair, it's somewhat challenging
and you're not left guessing or waiting forever.

Why aren't the kittens just using the same
physics as the player?

Eyes of the Exorcist by DormouseDevelopment 2011-12-22T01:46:00

It was alright.

Shadows in the Night by jwkim 2011-12-21T01:32:00

It's definitely challenging. But I never liked stealth games, especially
when I have to wait long and don't know when enemies are going to see me.
Me standing just a few meters away and them not seeing me never made
sense to me.

I'm not sure if there are multiple levels, but I couldn't go through the
first door which I unlocked. The screenshot you posted looks unfamiliar.

Kinda fun that if you're attacked by just one ghost and crouch, you
won't die. :P

Pat's Adventure by Geopixel 2011-12-20T19:49:00

I think your game fits the theme welland has a nice color pallet and art style. It reminded me a bit of the game "Roger Rabbit in Hare Raising Havoc". Sadly I wasn't able to interact with the environment much, though the yarn balls were nice.

The ending was very abrupt and made me confused. It makes sense now that I have read the poem on this page but there should have been something in-game, apart from just control instructions.

Also why does your cat have only 8 lives?

The subtle parallax scrolling was nice too.

Nihil by vibgyor 2011-12-20T22:02:00

This is probably the first roguelike I've ever played. Before
I died the first time it was somewhat immersive (sound is
nice). Then the items just repeated too often and dying
became something regular.

This game has probably to most minimal art style, which is
okay with me, but the filesize is almost 200mb. Not too much
of a problem in this day and age but yeah.

Flod Embarks by amodo 2011-12-21T01:58:00

I liked the animations as simple as they were

Centhra's Zombies by Racer260 2011-12-20T23:12:00

I had some fun in singleplayer and got killed at wave 6.
Is it meant to be played MP?

I wish I could move a bit faster backwards and get some
feedback for whether or not I've hit a zombie.

Nice job overall

LD23 — Tiny World

Planet ZOOB by Pacifist Games 2012-04-24T13:00:00

Really nice and friendly game. I like how the music is linked to the gameplay.

Really nice soundtrack.

Pollinate by garageworldgames 2012-04-24T09:43:00

Neat, that's a lot of puzzles! The movement could have been faster in the non-iceworlds.

pixTown by Mysterarts 2012-04-24T15:03:00

This game feels like smooth rubber. I like it. Something should happen when you finish the image. And it'd be nice if you could move more than one slot by keeping left/right pressed.

Recluse by chambers 2012-04-26T19:11:00

pretty pretty pretty good :)

Phi by Thomas Bowker 2012-04-25T19:58:00

Pretty interesting and challenging. Mouse sensitivity is too high for my taste though.

My Little Dungeon by thegreystudios 2012-04-24T11:34:00

Really good game. Was actually fun, how about that :D
Great job!

Quark Shark by hampa 2012-04-23T16:06:00

It's interesting to play with the physics. I think a score would be good.

Kumiho by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2012-04-24T14:50:00

Stage 3 is whipping my ass. Nice.

Age of Antpires by Dezzles 2012-04-24T08:25:00

Take that Roger Ebert!

Planetoids by Bloodyaugust 2012-04-24T08:39:00

First of all why do we have to take a detour to your "download page". A direct link is wayyy better. And yup, there isn't even a download link on your page. Verdict: can't play

I have python installed, but I can seem to run it. Do i have to use py2exe or something?

Nano Spin by bitbof 2012-04-24T15:49:00

@KevinZuhn and @tequibo
The goal emits waves that are visible in the background. I guess it's too subtle a hint for people to notice.

ONLY DUST by kato9 2012-04-26T19:54:00

I wish the music loop was a bit longer, cause I like it quite a bit :)

A Super Mario Summary by johanp 2012-04-24T17:06:00

For someone who has never really played the original sm, this is a good way to catch up. I appreciate the service.

It's not that hard to get Silverlight working ... not that I like Silverlight.

Tiny Tim's Race World by pythong 2012-04-25T17:52:00

This game gets really scary.

Pixel Progression by pighead10 2012-04-24T14:20:00

Sadly doesn't work properly (the known bug you listed)

dot by Julian Ceipek 2012-04-24T14:32:00

Your voiceover and the visuals go nicely together. But I don't understand the sinister twist. Maybe I missed something.

Panopticon by kakuremino 2012-04-23T16:33:00

Mysterious.
I like the idea of combining minimalist/abstract graphics with paper drawings.

LD25 — You are the Villain

GLORPLAX III by Pacifist Games 2012-12-17T19:37:00

Nice :)
I made it through, though on of the spike holes was pretty thin.
Also you are quite the daredevil for intentionally introducing input delay.

Lumberjack by BrothersT 2013-01-07T16:10:00

The mechanic was pretty fun once I got the hang of it.

Red Roses by unicornpooping 2013-01-08T00:50:00

Hehe I kinda liked it. *headbang*

Wow that artstyle is super unique. I love it. Also +1 surreal commander keen

Rainbow by ix 2012-12-17T22:34:00

I really like this one. Interesting gameplay mechanic, and awesome how unique the levels look after solving them.

Rainbow by ix 2012-12-17T22:39:00

Also got to mention that I don't think this game is hard as people portrait it in the comments. I never got stuck.

NONEX by feiss 2012-12-17T19:32:00

Quite fun with a pen-tablet

LD26 — Minimalism

Motion by Pacifist Games 2013-04-30T11:27:00

Nice job! I like that you can see the color of the next circle so you can prepare yourself.
It's interesting what associations build up over time with the colors, sounds and movement. Makes it feel less arbitrary.
Green - Snake
Violet - Sinewave
Blue - Underwater
Cyan - Blow dryer
Black - Roomba
Yellow - Tennis
Red - Little truck
Pink and Orange - Fuck!

Sliding boxes are always good for puzzlers :)
Beat level 5, but only with way too many steps.

Guru by BrothersT 2013-05-04T02:11:00

Great art and sound! I'll have to sleep over that fish level...maybe then I get the deep insight to solve it.
