Sorry.. but any game where I have to throw kittens into lava.. not fun in my eyes. (; ;)

iforce2d 2011-12-19 16:55

a.out? lol :)
Come on now, calling it 'awful' is a bit extreme - I quite enjoyed it! Good going for only half the time.

Yeah there can obviously be done a lot about
this game, but I still think it's decent. It
works, it feels fair, it's somewhat challenging
and you're not left guessing or waiting forever.

Why aren't the kittens just using the same
physics as the player?

mjiig 2011-12-21 09:22

They have different physics because then coding how they come back to the player would have been vastly more time consuming. I'd have had to teach them how to get around obstacles, which would involve implementing A* or something. If working on this for longer I probably would but not in this amount of time.

Interesting idea and great job for doing it in only half the time!

summaky 2011-12-27 18:46

It needs works, indeed, but not completely awful, I'd say. However, kittens and lava do not mix well, you mad man!

YOU DIED OF LAVA BURNS :-P

Cool. Some nice level design in there :-P

But even if you scrapped all your code D2, that still counts against the time you used to complete your game ;-)

This is probably a game for physicists.

y = ax^2+bx+c

Haha, i've played worse things.

Tried getting this to run on Mac OS X, got "cannot execute binary file", not sure if that's expected.
