This gave me the jibblies.
Very nice!
(Reminds me a lot of Shadowgate, one of my favourite adventury games)

Very nice!

second level is pretty annoying, but some nice ideas here. Fuel might deplete too quickly.
The graphics are really cool, i don't think i've seen anything that does quite this. The basic premise is neat, too, especially where parts of the maze obfuscating others.
The purple doors/switches are not a good idea.
Would definitely like to see this idea developed further, i think it has real potential.

I jumped out of the level geometry :(
I liked the graphics, but the jumping is very annoying and imprecise, despite the tight requirements of some jumps. Not really sure what the objective was, I got all of the yellow things but nothing happened...
bonus points for rocket kitten
Hard to control the boat! I love the atmosphere and graphics.
humour is the best aspect. The jumping was a bit funny, but at least platform placement didn't make it frustrating to play.
Great atmosphere! I absolutely love the graphics, the view of Mars outside is especially cool.
I think it could have done with a bit more variation in the gameplay... but perhaps the monotony of the player's actions reflects the theme well.
I think the grayscale suits it. Sorry to hear about the loss of your code. What's there is very nice.
Mood, theme and audio all brilliant. Nice work!
Unfortunate hitboxes, but the music and sound are fun.
that's a lot of kittens!
some of the weapons felt a bit weak, but the controls were smooth and it played quite well!
om nom nom nom
Cute game, i love the graphics. Don't think it really fits the theme though.
the graphics have a certain charm to them! I agree about the repetativeness.
Haha woah, this is a strange game!
I thought it was a very interesting take on the theme.
windows link is broken for me
It's unfortunate that you didn't finish this, looks like you got quite a bit done. The space trade is a nice genre, you should try to finish!
I like the idea of trading parts directly.
Fun, but short. I wasn't sure about it matching the theme, but the moai moving slightly faster than the player adds a certain anxiety aspect.
character sprite looks nice. Maze is too huge to memorise on the loading screen, and the timer is too short given said size. Got a game over with the end about 2 seconds away.
Not that satisfying... but the maze generation is quite good. Is this your own algorithm?
Awesome! Reminds me of Ant Attack.
I think shadows would go a long way to making it easier to know the player's position, especially when jumping. Nice use of audio.
The lighting is excellent. The gameplay is frustrating. Unless there's some trick to it, it's very hard to tell the melee skulls from the shooting skulls. What does gold do?
Graphics are really cool, and the idea is fun (kind of reminds me of bit.trip runner?)... but i think the jumping mechanics get in the way a bit, especially when you have to jump a series of obstacles - I think the player's fall speed is too slow.
Nice take on the theme.
Haha, brilliant! the graphics are nice and the controls smooth (although, hit boxes seemed a bit strange, and i think the 1-hit kill on saw blades is a tad unfair...)- plays nicely.
Twist is hilarious. Nice job!
Audio was nice, and i loved the starfield.
Not sure if it fit the theme very well, and the slow shots make for some kind of frustrating gameplay.
Having difficulty launching on windows...
Frustrating controls. Last level is interesting.
The graphics are very nice, but... haha, not much beyond that. Would like to see where you're going with it.
Couldn't get it to run on windows :\.
y = ax^2+bx+c
Haha, i've played worse things.
The audio is awesome! I also like the physicsyness of the thrown weapons.
ditto
physicsy!
The graphics are pretty nice. I like what you did with the player's erm... form of locomotion.
It would be awesome with more content :(
Hah, interesting and quite funny idea. Unfortunately the game crashed before any conclusion was reached...
A sadistic robotron!
This is difficult :(.
Robots getting stuck in walls!
I love the music.
Animation is charming, and the music is cool. Not much to do in it! But at least the basics work.
What helloserve said... extremely cryptic and even frustrating. I tried throwing a rock at the tree :(. I drank some water and slept. It's nice that you implemented a day/night cycle!
It could maybe do with some better hints, at least showing basic commands...
The audio is a nice touch. Might be nice with more survival aspects.
Hah, this was pretty awesome!
Rock surely has the most depth of any rpg character concieved, well done there.
Gameplay was tight and satisfying.
Lovely graphics, very cute game. I also smiled :)
Audio was nice, the graphics were cute, if simple. Gameplay seems pretty solid, and there's quite a bit there - at least, in terms of weapons. The axe actually seems like one of the better weapons, especially given some enemies moving faster than the player/long cooldown between shots.
I loved this entry, very atmospheric! Graphics and audio are perfect.
didn't see any sharks, but i did get eaten by one...
Losing sight of the submarine made me kind of anxious.
I'd like to see this developed further, but maybe with a more interesting goal than just collecting coins :)
Concept is /hilarious/, I love the graphics, and a really nice take on the theme.
Some stages are a bit frustrating.
Otherwise nice job!
Download link not working for me.
Unfortunately there's not much to comment on. The idea is not bad, and something i'd like to see fleshed out more.
The lighting is great, but i don't think the music really fit the theme. No indication of where a new weapon lies is frustrating!
couldn't run, missing dll
Oh woah, the graphics, audio, theme and mood - you really nailed it here.
Not really sure how it fits the theme... possibly because each ship is 'alone' in its part of the screen? What are passing hearts supposed to do?
Some nice sprites.
Way too short!
Some graphical bugs are apparent :(
I really like the idea, though, it'd be nice to see it more fleshed-out.
Graphics are very pleasant, i love the papery feel of the player.
Graphics are interesting. Player's light-source disappears too quickly, making this very difficult to play.
some solid arena shootering. Not sure how well it fits the theme, though. Liked the upgrade purchasing.
Missing .dll :(
Nice atmosphere, especially the effects later on in the game. Jumping felt a little strange.
The lighting is nice, but the game is extremely unfair. Even after you get the fireball spell, fighting is difficult as you need to run towards the enemy to kill them. Mouse-aimed attacks would have been better.
Speaking of which, the requirement to use both mouse and keyboard for no good reason is... strange.
Got stuck in a wall!
Yeah, this ran way too fast. The first few with-lava levels were possible as you could stick to the sides of the wall.
confusing game...
I do like the light mechanic though. I think keyboard controls would be a nice touch.
The game, at least the LD entry, doesn't really do anything interesting with the mechanics, in my opinion. If the player had to navigate complex terrain (maybe with some platforming?) by lighting it up, that could go a long way towards creating a more interesting experience.
fluid! haha, awesome. This is very technically impressive, well done.
I really like the music, but the gameplay is... strange. It feels very slow and sticky, with a lack of interesting mechanics. Forcing the player to pass through that first enemy was interesting, although not very meaningful as he only hurts you a tiny bit.
An excellent journal!
I thought it was unclear how the ghosts where hurting the player. Cooldown when taking too many shots is kind of annoying.
Nice game otherwise!
Along with the crazy enemy reaction speed, I think a smaller player hitbox would be nice, too - jumping and visually missing the bullet but getting hurt anyway is very annoying!
Nice work, that aside. The graphics are chunky and fun.
Link seems dead...
The graphics are cool, but... not much of a game here it seems :S.
neat concept. Couldn't find a blue gem (?), felt like clicks weren't registering properly.
Lovely screenshots, unfortunate that there's no windows build.
Some good platforming - jumping feels nice. Inability to walk backwards annoying! A bit of trial and error...
Not sure if it fits the theme terribly well?
Fun game, interesting take on the theme, with some nice puzzles. I too got stuck in a room that i opened with the ball :(.
cute graphics, intriguing idea, solid mechanics, this is a great entry :)
I got a bunch of errors when this launched... :| running windows 7 64 bit, if that helps.
This was pretty neat! The controls are slightly confusing at first, and i think the while-flying thrust should be a bit higher... make manouvring a little easier, but certainly the game is quite innovative.
Lots of tasty particles, too.
Same as Shigor, haha.
Also, pressing enter to remove the text doesn't always work... annoying...
the twinkling stars is a nice touch, but unfortunately there's not enough gameplay here to last very long.
Haha, yeah I agree with all of this. I had intended to have a small light circle around the player... not sure why it didn't get in.
The cave generation is kind of dodgy. A lot of quick fixes to make it work *most of the time*, but there's a small chance that it'll only generate a small cave. The weird enemy spawning is based on a few things... firstly, if you're in a small area, the closest valid area for a monster to spawn could actually be quite long in walk distance. Monsters have timed life, since the next wave won't spawn unless there are no monsters, and the number of them in a wave is based on the total number that you've killed (to a maximum of 20). The length of the game is based on the game's timer instead of number of waves fought (in retrospect this was a terrible idea).
All of these together make a kind of inconsistent experience!
oh right, you'll need http://doryen.eptalys.net/libtcod/ if you want to compile it.
7/7 and still a lukewarm ending :(
Very challenging, even for a lander game! I like the physics of it, especially the way the pods inherit your ship's velocity, very nice.
Depressing :(. Certainly fits the theme, haha.
Couldn't find any easter eggs or cats, might have another look later.
i think my brain hurts
Very creepy.
graphics are cute, but the gameplay is kind of dry.
