Hi Deza,
You must use Google Chrome or a recent version of Firefox.
Also, both browsers block WebGL if you have old video card drivers, so you could try updating your drivers.
I'm not sure I understand what you can do, I found the key but nothing else.
Nice, would have been a little better if there was a clearer signal that you had caught a cat, I mean friend.
I won! Kind of crazy, and perhaps could do with a little explanation of what is going on. An interesting concept though.
Very pretty, though I'm not sure I quite 'get' it. A bit slow for me. Loved the humour in death :-)
Kind of annoying that I was trying to save up rocks to build the other buildings but kept having to spend them all on killing monsters and checkpoints. I ended up walking back though all the screens to build up enough to build the driller.
Really nicely polished and good stuff. Loved the faces in background.
Not sure I quite understand, but pretty graphics none the less.
Nice re-imagining of Conway's Game of Life. Loved the audio.
WebGL version got very jerky.
A nice idea, perhaps a little over zealous on the blood ;-)
I loved it, had fun playing despite not really figuring out if there was anything to do. I would love to see this expanded with some clearer goals
I had a great time playing this, smooth, fun and well-balanced. With some polished graphics and audio this would be a great little game. Add some additional enemies, weapons and layouts and it would be a awesome game.
I saved him. Though I did have to check the comments. Perhaps a little more feedback would have been good. Well done though.
Great execution, audio and art style. You could definitely build on this.
A few minor issues, intro is too slow, no restart, and mouse wheel, right-click didn't seem to work for me (Chrome, OSX)
Nice original idea, got a bit hard for me though :-)
Nice art, but not really much to do, could definitely be the start of something
Good fun, I played through to completion.
More traditional controls would have you continue in the same direction when you turn. That might make it feel more natural.
The background music was nice and atmospheric, but the sting when you collect a note ruined the atmosphere.
Completed, nice work. Using tab as the weapon switch felt a bit awkward though,
Great little game. Polished and fun.
Loved the music, only ran at about 2fps in Chrome, but was better in FF. Good fun, needs a bit more variation in mosters and spells though as it gets repetitive quickly.
Nice start, but needs more depth.
...scream-y :-)
Great looking, classic shooter, I like the teleporting mechanic, though I suspect it's not totally original? But, who cares. Well executed. My only criticism would be the lack of a death animation and perhaps some lives? But maybe I'm just not hardcore enough.
Pretty tough going, I'm not much good at schmups but it seems to be solid. Good work
Kind of hard to judge as there is no-one else playing.
Needs a bit more of a challenge, as there seems to be no 'bad' guys. Slightly disturbing eating sounds. :-)
Great fun, finished it and enjoyed it.
I had to turn off the sound on my computer as it was corrupted (or horrific?). Seems like a fun game, but not my sort of thing.
I wasn't expecting much the first time I played it, but then found myself playing over and over again to try and complete it :-) Good job.
Graphically a bit rough, but gameplay is compelling. Though sometimes my "glueball" would end up spread all over the place without the planets touching.
Maybe some 'real' physics on the main character would improve it.
Hey orangepascal, could you send me any console output you are getting? It was developer in Chrome on a MacBook Pro, so it should work :-(
@namuol Heh, we wondered if anyone would notice :-)
Well, as we wrote the library ourselves, we somewhat biased as what is like to work with, but I think it turned out pretty well especially as we're not artists.
Drop me an email at playcanvas.com (dave@) if you're interested in checking it out.
Frustrating controls, but quite fun none the less. Adding shadows would make it feel more like the characters were on the table.
Nice, I really liked it.
Not sure why I was collecting flower oil as I never ran out of juice and there was no indicator.
Some mild confusion when before I realised there were 'hidden' passages through the background, and more mild confusion when until I noticed that plants move when the acid hits them.
Overall, great though.
Not bad, the weapons could do with a little more range for my taste, and add the velocity of the player to the bullets so they travel forwards.
Artwork was good.
Punishing!
Honestly I got too frustrated to continue on level 2. Seems like jumping off platforms is a little broken, sometimes you press jump and you don't jump.
Also seems like clicking on the platforms has a different effect each time you click on it. Which makes it confusing.
Nice idea controlling platforms with the mouse though.
Great fun, really enjoyed it. Only downside would be limited replay value ;-)
Nice little game,
Not really much to do here and a little buggy, but kind of fun in a mindless sort of way.
Not bad little game, enemies seem to get stuck on the world.
Good start, like others have said, very difficult introduction to the game. Could have done with some easier puzzles to start with. You mentioned a help page, but I couldn't see one. Also mixture of mouse and keyboard is kind of painful to use.
Fun little game. Adding new material didn't seem to do anything a lot of time, but maybe I was missing something.
No idea, what was going on :-)
The webplayer worked the first time, but doesn't seem to work anymore.
Wow, a lot of work must have gone in to making this. Quite hard to control the guys though. Picking out walls, platforms, etc can be tricky too. But well done - a nice use of HTML5.
Pretty brutal difficulty-wise!
Slick, very nice indeed. I can imagine you selling this on the App Store with a little work. Obviously, some kind of tutorial would help and better feedback on what's going on on-screen, but hey, it's a minor complaint. It really is a great game. Congratulations.
Loved the idea and the look. But frustratingly difficult to place items in the time limit.
Good start, I like the idea, I'd like to see it developed further.
You will need to be careful, though, as a die roll and a single track means there is little or no skill in where you end up. Perhaps multiple rolls of which you can only pick one? And multiple routes through the centre? This gives the player some choices and adds a little strategy.
I laughed. Is there anyway to get more money?
Haha, this was great. Played it to the end. You have a very active imagination - crazy, but fun! Did the QTE make any difference? I'm sure I was failing at most of them.
Not sure I really understood what was going on I'm afraid.
Looks pretty nice. I like the idea of it, however, the kill/consume mechanic felt unsatisfying. More visual feedback and more challenge to that system would be good. as that is the only thing to do.
I love the sneaky tippy-toe animation. I wish the dash lasted for longer.
I like the idea of it, but it got a boring quite quickly. Could definitely be expanded on. Really nice illustrations.
Also, I had a bug where the picture of the child beating up the monster was stuck on screen and I had to restart.
Interesting, not sure what the door keeper was, so I just shot everything, then found the slug/rabbit things, but couldn't escape the island
I LOL'd, that was very funny.
Lovely, straightforward mechanics, great graphics, nice tune.
As noted elsewhere it's a little confusing the first time you get to the bank. But once I got that it was plain sailing.
Not a whole lot to do, and a little puerile. Also frame-rate suffers when lots of things are exploding.
Great game - it's the most fun I've had crapping on things in my entire life! Good overall polish with a great front end. A very well rounded game. Congrats!
Making good use of PlayCanvas :-)
Really beautiful, I hope you carry on working on it.
Great use of physics and an interesting take on the theme! It was over very quickly - would have liked to have kept playing. Water was pretty too!
Loved it! Great audio and a nice mechanic. I couldn't seem to "win" or fail though.
Lovely game, sophisticated gameplay. The level design was a little weak. I found the first level really hard (basically just ended up testing each possibility, even with the hint). Second level I finished first time, then stuck on the 3rd.
I didn't quite understand how to predict where they would go, e.g. when they would turn back, sometimes they would sacrifice fire, sometimes they wouldn't. I think it would be more enjoyable if it was totally predictable. (if you know what to look for)
Still, I really enjoyed it. Very good game.
As usual a beautiful looking game. Loved the little comments the hero makes, and filling a room with the goblin dudes.
Loved it! Really nice idea, though I think the controls would be better if they were less random.
Very nice indeed. Played all the way through.
Controls were a little odd though.
I too liked the way you represented resource gathering. Though there needs to be a little bit of explanation. Actual game is a little repetitive though.
Basic, but nice and fun.
Could do with some more advanced artwork :-)
Nice, I liked the theme.
Nice, I liked it.
And I 'got' the glitches ;-)
Very pretty, and sounded great. Could do with a little extra something though (moving the sleigh, maybe?) as it gets a bit repetitive.
Sorry, couldn't seem to do anything.
Loved it! Played it through to completion. Sent it to my friends. Excellent work.
Had some sever slow-down issues once the I had a few minions, but it went away when they killed some of the adventurers.
Great fun, solid game. I didn't realize that there were levels until I read the comments though. I just stood my ground until the inevitable end :-)
Fun for a little while.
Pretty frantic when you get enemies chasing you! Maybe the turning could do with some acceleration to stop it being so twitchy. Also I never found the exit :-(
If you're interested in WebGL stuff you might want to check out our engine, PlayCanvas.
Ace. Very well designed puzzle game. Level 2 was a little brutal though, perhaps that could go a bit later. Audio would be good too :-)
Nice first game. Definitely needs some feed back when you shoot stuff. Over all needs more juice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fy0aCDmgnxg
Nice idea and well executed mechanic. I enjoyed it.
Eeeek!
Great game. The jumping and collision could do with just a little tweaking to make if feel more responsive.
But nicely executed, none-the-less.
Nice premise and super polished. Solid gameplay too. Good job!
That is lovely! Particularly like the super-simple control scheme (and instructions when you try and use the keyboard)
Nice. Seems like you had a similar idea to me, though I think you executed it better!
Impressive stuff. Love the audio.
Nice idea, would be cool if you spruced it up with some sprites.
It's a great idea. I found the collision detection on the gems frustrating.
Some background music would add a lot to the atmosphere.
And some way of finding the airlock again. :-)
Really love this! Couldn't get past level 3 though :(
Love this, taught me my touch tying is terrible...
Baby Jesus saves. A most excellent game :)
Like the SFX :) Bit confusing... Still fun though.
I'll come back and re-score the theme when you tell us what your girlfriend thought!
Very satisfying puzzler! Love the graphics.
Angry gorillas ftw. Sweet and simple.
Well done for persevering!
Lovely style, liked that there were a few different stages with different game play but would have liked a bit more content i.e. more to do.
Nice little game.
Slightly confusing that you can drive over some of the tiles that don't look like roads.
Scared the living Christmas out of me.
Really nice. Very stylish.
You could definitely do more with this if you wanted. Take a look at PlayCanvas if you want more tools to work with WebGL stuff.
It went a bit weird at the end :-)
Love this little skull things. I just ran around madly though. Was there an objective?
Lovely style. Simple and elegant.
Very clever idea, nicely done. I wish you could shoot in a different direction to your motion though.
That's some psychadelic weirdness... Like it! 780 points.
Very melancholy game, really like the style but very short.
Interesting. Very strange. Not sure I quite knew what was going on.
Great style! Triceratops can almost fly...
Could do with refining the controls but really a nice idea :)
Nice interpretation of the theme, well done.
Alan, this is ace!
Great work, so simple in principle, but brilliantly executed and beautifully presented.
Next time Alan, next time...
Love it.
Love the Elite references, but also you've given the docking it's own twist with the planet landing mechanic. (See also, Escape Velocity)
Stylishly designed so it looks great.
An impressive accomplishment for 48h.
Cute characters and animations, enjoyable game. No theme but like it apart from getting caught in the collision a lot.
Nice game, I found I could often end up with a ship I couldn't complete, but it didn't fail or let me know. Or maybe I could continue, but I had hexes with open sides that I couldn't add to.
Anyway I think this could be turned into something really cool.
Really like the concept. Quite difficult to get those guys in front of that bullet.
Really good, complete game! Ace graphics, great challenging puzzles. Loved it.
Love the cute sound effects :)
Oddly sinister atmosphere!
Very addictive, pretty tough!
Nice puzzler, I thought it stuck to the theme well. Too short, wanted more puzzles!
Tough game. But fun
This is a favourite, despite the buggy-ness and tedious wandering about/dying - managed to fit a lot into it and I love the art and crazy music!
Nice and polished.
Very nice. Love the low-fi graphics.
Cute graphics. How do your co-wokers feel about you wanting to beat them to death ;)
Basic concept really nicely realised, good fun!
Very cool, love the animation.
Clean and simple deign, tough to survive though!
Lovely design.
Intriguing, well written story makes this work.
Very good. Felt a little like Super Hot.
It's bit mean not to include shift to run in the control scheme ;-) I had to restart and read the instructions again.
Crashed a few times (to a white screen) and frequently seemed to stop responding to my clicks. Polished looking though!
It sure is like Wolfenstein. :-)
Nicely done for a game coded from scratch. Good work.
OK, it's nice. First couple of play throughs I was thinking this is impossible. I'll never get that much wood. Then I read the instructions :-D
So a nice little added depth by adding the goop.
I like it. Also good classic Notch art-style.
Very nice. Quite hard to finish!
Thanks everyone.
Philippa did all the artwork. Which is why it looks so amazing!
@01rafael The music was credited from elsewhere. Everything else was churned out starting on Saturday morning :-) It was a loooong weekend.
Love the music. Great graphics. Nice game
Very nice. I'd like the canvas to have been a little bigger so that I could see what was going on a bit more. But good fun none the less.
Fun, although a bit short.
Super fun. It's got a breakout and super hexagon-type feel to it. Agree that it would be great on a touch device too. Well Done.
I tried to play the web version. It's a really nice style, but pretty small in the browser window. And I think 'tab' to switch characters only works once...
It's nice idea though I can see with some more time it would be good.
Nice idea, lots of fun but hard.
Impressive stuff for 48hrs.
I found the mouse sensitivity a little too low. But other than that really good fun.
Fantastic. Really good.
Made it for over a minute... Nice game.
Interesting. Took me a while to figure out what was going on. But nice basic gameplay.
Lovely, nice and fun, shame we didn't get to see the tree :-)
Very well done. There's definitely a some nice mechanics in there. I didn't like the long lift intro, and the combat felt a bit random, I'm not sure I got through by skill. But I like the long falls with flaming kicks! :-)
Impressive stuff for solo work. Feels nice and polished.
I would remove the cog, and just have drag to rotate, but very nice. Art-style reminds me of http://swooop.playcanvas.com ;-)
Very nice game. Nice looking, shame the UI wasn't as good as the rest. :-)
Nice job.
Would be better if the other tanks drove around a bit, but it was good fun.
That was awesome. Pretty, well-balanced, challenging. Very, very nice
Love it. I managed to get to 3rd generation and jump up to the top, but not sure if there is any advantage in that?
Very nice. Great minimalist style. Good audio. Well polished. I had a few problems with being knocked out of the world. But good fun overall.
Hey, I used Qubicle too! I like the game. A nice quick introduction to teach you. I coudn't figure out how to be beat the second level though :-(
Gorgeous lovable main character. Loads of charm and character to the hat. Loved the game.
I can't get the webplayer or webgl version to load :'-(
Lovely, lovely looking game. Camera is a bit twitchy for my liking... but good fun.
Nice idea, a good puzzle-like challenge. I agree with the others though the wall-death is a bit harsh. :-)
I think the graphical style works. good fun
Nice mechanic, well polished. Not sure quite what I had to do after I killed all the robots though...
Looks lovely. Nice idea, really well executed.
Beautiful and seems like it would be fun. Unfortunately everytime I drive for more than a few seconds the screen goes blue and I have to restart. (Webplayer version)
Nice idea. Stylishly done for a game made with primitives :-)
Great looking game.
Lovely style. Nice idea. I laughed and we went for a beer. :-D
Had a kind of Terry Gilliam feel to it. Audio made me chuckle. Not sure if there is much to the gameplay beyond constantly farting.
It's a nice idea, but a bit too clunky to be enjoyable unfortunately. A few small changes could make it really good fun. 1) Speed up the interface. Clicking buttons has a long pause. This needs to be super quick. 2) Tutorial mission is very hard to understand. You have 3 symbols on the screen as if that is what you need, but you actually need to place 20(!) instructions to complete the first level. You should make the first level <5 instructions. 3) The icons aren't very clear (I thought the shooting one was move backwards) Still, good sound effects, nice idea, a little re-working and a new tutorial level and I it would be fun.
Nice music. Very atmospheric gameplay. Could perhaps have been expanded on a bit. But very nice.
A very complete and polished game. I found the controls a little confusing, but I think maybe I'd get used to them.
Great looking game. The slow rate of fire at the first level felt a little too harsh. Long pauses between the 3 bullets you can shoot at a time. It made it annoying to play. Once the rate of fire goes up it would be more enjoyable.
Very nicely polished. Looks great. Handling is good. Very hard!
Great! Enjoyed the story-telling :-)
I love the idea behind it. Seemed to be very hard to last more than a few seconds. And I don't think I ever got the pet to eat something I threw he just ran off chomping on everything else. I think with an easier introduction it could be great fun.
Great audio, great looking. Nicely polished. Great overall. Very nice work. Really love the phone intro!
Looks nice, but a bug with the audio nearly deafened me...
Looks nice. Really hard :-( Not sure if I could ever get past Wave 2
Nice send up of Crossy Road. Great Music! Nicely polished very good.
Great fun. Not sure about the theme, and also it's really hard. I don't think I lasted more than a few seconds. But fun.
Interesting, like the style. It took a while to work out exactly what was going on. Would be nicer if the instructions were a little clearer.
Nice game. You'll probably like my game, which involves sheep and cannons!
Great animation and character in the... er... characters. I struggled with the second enemy. Graphically lovely though.
Nice and polished. All round great job. I would like to see more variation in the puzzles, but hey, 72h!
Fun game. I only tried single player, but I can see two player would work well. Controls didn't feel quite fluid enough. Perhaps would be better if number of keys used was reduced.
Interesting, I fell off the table and couldn't get back up. :-(
Great idea and great fun. Is it possible to complete!?
Great stuff. Really nicely worked with the theme. Balanced just right with getting everyone. Maybe you could add a time limit or just a counter to encourage some replay.
