LD23 — Tiny World

Terra Bellum by voxel 2012-04-25T03:16:00

The lack of aiming is... upsetting. As is the lack of an undo. I didn't even know the battle would automatically end and I'd get some more money even if no one fired a shot.

More starting money is another pony to wish for.

Raptor85 - what browser/operating system? It sounds like you got a javascript error but I'm not logging anything so I can't look into it :(

emveyh - this may not work, but trying going to www.hazzens.com (you'll get an error), then clicking the link again. A friend had DNS issues and that seemed to clear them.

doggone by hazzen 2012-04-25T14:37:00

For those having issues, if you ever come back to the page, I added an alternate link which may work. Something is/was wrong with the DNS.

stack::tracer() by nihilocrat 2012-04-25T02:56:00

Like the concept, echo the "too short". An "memory map" of sorts that overlayed all the stack frames with a dot for the player would be nice - the shadow is hard to spot.

PLANET CONQUERED by masterhyjinx 2012-04-25T03:08:00

No more levels after the 3rd? Two quick things would make it more enjoyable:
1) Holding down the mouse to shoot would be very nice.
2) Once all the guns are destroyed on a level, you should either win or there should be some joy in destroying the remaining buildings.

Mineral Cities by Gareth Jenkins 2012-04-25T03:36:00

Nice game, good rules, a bit long.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Just One Minute by TheCze 2013-12-16T11:18:00

Not (easily) playable on a small screen - can't see oncoming cars early enough. Had to force zoomout on the page.

Ironman mode is nice, but it means I can't play your game anymore.

Leap of Faith by Ysty 2013-12-16T14:31:00

The "jump when you hit the edge" is really nice. Landing on moving platforms is a bit tough, especially as you get later into the levels.

Granny Loosetooth and the Toothfairies by KayZ 2013-12-16T17:23:00

I think I'm supposed to figure out the mechanics by trial-and-error, but it takes a while for a single "run" and the first level doesn't give me too many options.

Zestboi Ice Racing by Just_delete_it 2013-12-17T08:48:00

I can't play your game - I just see some screenshots and a bunch of ads on the page.

Hasty Santa by LeCherLich 2013-12-16T17:17:00

Looks good! I get some weird graphics glitches where the screen has some black flickering (z-fighting maybe?).

Also, it would be nice to not get killed the second someone from a house spawns; I can be flying across town and someone steps out of their door - kaboom.

Lost in Space by loxo 2013-12-17T08:59:00

Too many options, and once you find a route that makes money there is nothing stopping you from doing a bunch of runs on it to make a fortune, then you can afford all the fuel you want.

One Arrow by weazen 2013-12-16T14:20:00

No one can hurt you on the middle platform (on top of the door?)

SANITY by acehk 2013-12-17T09:13:00

I really didn't get it - first I'm supposed to walk into green clouds, then it is a game over if I do. And I have to replay the long intro just to get back to that screen.

1Ball by Daniel X. Moore 2013-12-16T17:51:00

You have a lot of levels! I got stuck on a bunch of them, and it felt like I could just click randomly and maybe get lucky. It isn't forgiving enough to really let me feel challenged, just frustrated.

The invisible ones, in particular, where kind of... yeah.

Color Range by allinlabs 2013-12-16T17:43:00

4 and 5 are broken on the first level with them, so I can't tell if you went anywhere with this or not. Similar mechanic to Fly Wrench, though much less manic.

Also, listing the controls would be nice - took me a while to figure out how to move, and then a while longer to figure out jump.

RETRIEVAL - a First Person Boomerang Puzzler by Adam Thompson 2013-12-17T09:09:00

If you want to expand on this, it really needs something to fill all the empty space/time - faster move speed, ambient sound, etc. Your list of things you wanted don't seem to align with what you have - changing gravity is cool, but if that is your mechanic, make it your mechanic. If your mechanic is that you have a boomerang, expand on that (like the stepping stone idea you mentioned, or timed skill shots, etc).

You Only Get One Try by Manou 2013-12-16T11:13:00

Excellent for a first entry! No ability to control yourself in the air is interesting, but it removes a lot of the thrill - it is very obvious you are about to lose if you get airborne at a funny angle, and you can't do a thing about it.

Tough by anvoz 2013-12-17T12:47:00

Did not get it, and nothing hooked me to try and get it.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, using pre-made assets is frowned upon and it appears the clouds weren't made by you. The characters look good though, so I'm sure you could have made as-good clouds yourself. Next time!

Boomerang Blade by hamster_mk_4 2013-12-17T09:04:00

Looks and sounds good for a jam entry. Using Another One Bites The Dust is a bit questionable, though.

I was sad I didn't get any bonus points for hitting multiple targets with one shot, and that it seemed fairly impossible to get hurt. Zombies are too slow to pose a challenge.

Ultimate Wish by Carduus 2013-12-17T12:50:00

Graphics: great!

Controls: :(. Some sort of line showing the angle would be nice, and it appears you do a few things with deciding where it is valid to stand and not valid to stand that don't line up with the art. Plenty of times, the ball would hit something that looked like good ground, but I would just slide off.
