@devinmoore I've had reports of it not working in FireFox. Chrome may be your best bet.
Pretty neat! I think that having the forced weapon switches made me play too cautious (so as to avoid blowing myself up when a hobo teleported a rocket launcher into my hand) which hindered some of my fun. Additionally some of the collisions were not favorable to the player.
It took me back to my days of playing Oregon Trail and hunting zombies for food.
One bug, it doesn't accept the word "tedious". Though overall a cool mashup of platforming and madlibs.
Pretty sweet, though the lag from the thousands of elements on screen can get intense. Also, that getting stuck bug is killer..
A nice exploration of this interesting mechanic. Great work on level design!
The scenery is LUSH, though the gameplay is rather simple.
Pretty cool and fun once you get the hang of it, though level 4 was an extreme vertigo simulator.
Thanks everyone for the feedback! You all rule!
Nice artwork!
I really wanted to give this one a try, but because it uses Unity I couldn't run on Linux :(. I'm looking forward to when they finally get a Linux player.
Legendary!
Maybe I missed something but I can't seem to figure out the controls...
I couldn't quite manage to make it all the way to the end with the time I have, but its quite fun. Spelunky tricked me into thinking I could walk horizontally through spikes. Some of the jump feel is a little cramped, but it works pretty well overall.
Nice graphics!
The gameplay feels nice and polished. Great graphics and audio!
I was doing great running past all the enemies, but then I got trapped in a cave and they punched me.
The keyboard input could use improvement, but I made it through to the end.
Pretty fun, but there seemed to be a bug with the dragon: I just pelted him from a distance and he did nothing...
This scathing critique against modern consumerism is a message kids need to hear.
Wins in humor per hour spent (both playing and development).
Great twist on the Tower Defense genre. I can see quite a lot of room for more innovation. Having a "click to activate" might make some of the gameplay more intuitive for more casual gamers. And some sort of visual indicator for when the traps are charged. Also a special that floods an area with magma! Great job for such a limited time!
Great work! I like the graphical style and overall feel, though the air controls can be a bit unforgiving when trying to land on tiny shrapnel pieces.
Great level design and an interesting core gameplay mechanic. When typing this I'm expecting my cursor to pull the letters.
Fun game, though I could never figure out how to make the mithril sword.
I had almost given up, but then figured it out. A brief story or description may help people get into it better.
I would have liked to see some sort of victory ending screen after a few minutes to provide closure, but overall not bad given the constraints.
Man Chevy, you're always being a champ! The controls feel great in all three and the graphics and audio are quite good.
Good gameplay and feel and the music adds a nice ambiance.
My biggest criticism is that some of the jumps are pretty brutal to make and others where you have to just guess right or fall into a pit of lava.
The music is brutal but the game is pretty fun.
Cool game, clear instructions and fun to play. The powers are interesting and work well with the maze.
This is a great game, quite fun. I can see the Minecraft influence.
I wish the gun were stronger, it's pretty slow to fire and doesn't even really kill guys any faster than punching them.
The audio loop is far to short, and gets annoying very fast. Once I figured out how to play the game was pretty fun and looks like it has a lot of potential.
It was really hard to read all the text to try and learn what I was supposed to do and even on easy I couldn't survive for long, but overall a nice game.
Using a single svg image to make a game is interesting technically, but the gameplay was a bit slow and tedious for me. I agree quite a bit with Cosine, and with some tweaks to the movement speed and adding a tradeoff between building your web and consuming flies there could be some fun directions to take this.
I want to play, but I don't want to log in, is there a guest mode?
I use a non-qwerty keyboard layout so the wasd controls were tough, adding support for arrow keys would help me out quite a bit. Then I placed a block and it stuck me in the wall, trapped for eternity in the pits of hell. I also didn't want to kill any of the other poor lost souls, but maybe I'm a contrarian.
Pretty cool, the building/destroying mechanic is good though I wish there were an auto-file.
The view from previous runs is cool, but after a bunch get stacked it can get confusing. I like the simple mechanic.
Nice graphics and audio! The puzzles were just challenging enough for me to keep at it, though the game is pretty short.
Neat, but not very fun.
I like the atmosphere of the game quite a bit.
Great job. I look forward to seeing more levels and puzzles.
It's cool that it's HTML5. Check out PixieEngine some time.
Dodging the asteroids was impossible for me. I just aimed towards the station, blasted the booster and prayed. Never made it.
Thanks for all the feedback and bug reports.
@J It definitely shouldn't just be a black after one of the exits, I probably need a better pre-loader because it loads each level on the fly.
@Cosmologicon What browser are you using? It's usually pretty fast in Chrome, though the collision detection is pretty rudimentary.
@triplefox, @23 Thanks for the feedback about the turrets, I'm not really proud of how they fit it. I threw them in because they were easy (to implement). I should force myself to find better answers.
Overall I was happy to finish, though not incredibly proud of the game produced.
Pretty cool though the ball control is quite difficult.
Very interesting mood and feel.
The jumping and air control was pretty difficult. A good start!
A really fun and simple take on expansion and resource management. The mechanics seemed pretty well balanced.
Pretty fun bouncing around in the box, and good ambiance. As caranha says there is room to improve by adding more detailed interactions.
Pretty well done, but getting blocked in by a close seedling makes me feel really helpless. I think either having the shots damage the rooted ones, or having shots that can pass through them may make it feel more forgiving.
Pretty fun. The jump felt a little floaty. The keys were a little confusing that they toggled the doors, maybe switches would have been more obvious.
Having to input each command one at a time seems a little burdensome, maybe if you had a limited number of commands you could use and had to plan out the whole level.
Really great game, fun and simple. My only recommendation is that the pacing seem kind of slow at first, then quickly becomes too difficult. Having oscillating periods of intensity and dormancy would help extend the play where you have to think fast or accumulate mistakes and give you a period to clean up.
@Jorjon (Spoiler Alert!) There is no "final" screen, but you can win a personal victory by discovering all the interactions and gaining a mastery over the arena.
Doing things was hard then lots of people died.
It's actually cross platform, not just Widows!
I clicked web and it downloaded webplayer.rar. Is there another link?
Going back to the beginning is a little harsh!
Can you publish a Linux version? Unity doesn't have a Linux web client!
Controls were broken for me (Dvorak keyboard layout) adding arrow keys as well would fix it.
Overall seemed pretty fun and cool. The sound and graphics were well done. The strategy seemed like it would be fun if I could control my guy!
Pretty fun!
Sometimes it seemed like they duders wouldn't jump if they recently landed which lead it to feeling a little unresponsive.
The mechanic is very interesting and looks like it could be explored further. Perhaps some pre-made levels to explore specific situations would be interesting.
Congrats on completing a game in such a short time!
The vertical mouse sensitivity was extremely high. I also couldn't tell if my shots were hurting the green guys (enemies?).
The chain reactions were fun, but the random levels hurt it somewhat. It got much easier after the regions were populated an you could drop almost anywhere to blow up lots of stuff.
At first I had some trouble getting it (I just skipped the instructions because readin's weak), but then it clicked.
It seemed a little complicated, but ended up being a perfect blend of ridiculousness. The effects of each food was relevant to the gameplay and the levels were pretty good at exploring that.
Having a way to keep your placed foods so you can incrementally approach the solution would be a good interface improvement.
Great job on your first finished game!
Pretty fun. I liked the single screen levels better as it was easier to keep them all in my head.
I wasn't able to play because wasd isn't convenient on my keyboard layout. Pleas add arrow keys as well!
I like the polish on these minigames. Each one felt well done and complete.
Pretty good, though it was a little hard to see everything because it was so small.
The controls seemed a little hard for me to get
The music was intense.
The scoring mechanic was pretty cool.
Pretty good!
If this is a Construct 2 game can't you post a Web version?
The graphics are nice. I had some trouble learning how the wings worked since I stated off so far off the screen that it was difficult to figure out their effect.
Timing the bounces was a little tricky and seemed to be more luck than skill, but maybe with more play it would become easier to control.
Pretty fun, played until the end.
I'm not sure the 3d perspective added much, it was a little hard to see where things were and what was going on.
The music is really good, though the sound effects get a little repetitive.
Overall great job for a solo effort.
A pretty fun little text exploration game.
It got tough pretty fast. I think having a few more simpler levels to ease into the mechanic might help.
The amount of space devoted to the current player and play area also seemed a little small. Seeing the next and previous levels doesn't add much when what I really want is to understand the level I'm on.
I accidentally discovered the door power and ran into the corrupted memory world.
I just want my boat back!
Pretty fun! Some real time feedback when you do well with the waves or make a mistake would help me a lot to figure out how to refine my technique!
I was doing ok until I destroyed the wetlands and all the ducks died.
Nice graphics! The gameplay itself seemed to me to be a little too easy though. I didn't really end up needing to move the boat much and could just drop charges and blow up subs whenever because there were so many to hit.
Pretty fun though the combat mechanics could use some refinement. Maybe gaining exp from climbing floors wouldn't penalize the evasion strategy and make it less grindy.
Pretty fun. It simple enough to learn yet fairly complex, with some refinement and polish I could see this being very good!
I just kept running though the same halls with more and more enemies each time but never found anything else.
Pretty fun, the flashlight mode was intense!
The collisions seem to be way way off. It looks like you're using rectangular collisions so that if the transparent corner of the sprites overlap it counts as a hit. Using circular collisions with smaller radii would make the game quite a bit more fun and playable.
Fun and simple, good controls too.
A pretty ok dwarf simulator.
Really interesting. I was only able to get a couple of the totems. It was hard for me to match the patterns the totem played to the notes I could play sometimes.
I almost couldn't get down to the lowest part, I kept getting stuck on the stairs. The graphics are good and the joke is funny.
Pretty neat once I figured out how to control everything, but then I forgot to leave a soldier free to pick up resources so I got stuck.
Great art and music. Gameplay was pretty simple but it's a complete game and the controls feel pretty good!
Pretty fun blasting around! Some of the audio seemed to play too many times when jumping. Elaborating on the basic mechanics of blasting into people could add some interesting variety.
Nice graphics and music!
Interesting idea, the multiplayer aspect is very innovative!
Simple and fun, congrats on your first entry! I like the take on the theme.
Great game, best one I've played so far. I wish there were an option to skip ahead after too many failures.
Fun and interesting! Sometimes the triangle pop up in difficult to react to places, but otherwise it's quite good.
I have no idea what the red cell powers do... maybe playing more would teach me but it's hard to tell what effect I'm having.
Pretty fun, reminds me of Verge by Kpulv. The health mechanic seems a little punishing especially considering you can't tell ahead of time where you need to go by looking into the underground world. Often you'll need to speculatively waste a health to look, then restart once you know which way to go.
Really fun, the movement and torpedo shooting feels just right!
I was doing well until the fish ate a broken bottle and died :(
Hard to control on a non-qwerty layout.
Thank you for telling this story. It was illuminating about the recent event.
A pretty ok boat simulator.
Crazy and fast paced! I got a little bored of just spinnig in circles and shooting though.
That turtle rocked me!
Pretty fun! Such doge.
Controls are tough without a mouse. Auto-fire would be nice or some more powerful targeted fire.
I was doing ok until the moon killed me.
That bird messed me up pretty bad!
Pretty fun though I didn't have the patience to get all the way to the treasure chest.
Pretty fun overall, it was easy to get the hang of and interesting to play!
Pretty fun, glad it runs in the browser without plugins!
Simple and fun!
Fun and well balanced. The movement and sprinting were just the right amount of challenge and learning the patterns of the sand worms was good as well.
I like the art and sound, but the core mechanic of pushing things around into holes just isn't much fun for me. It looks promising if you can refine the core a bit.
Best Dr. Frankenstein's business simulator 2015.
A fun mastermind style monster dressing game :)
Fun game, great graphics and sound!
Solid gameplay simple and fun mechanics! Got stuck on level 5 though.
I got stuck on the dancing level. The wall collisions were a bit strange. Great graphics though!
how do you live with yourself
It looks like the real monster is CSRF... this is a potentially serious issue, but thanks for bringing it to light in a fun way! I hope you disclosed it to the webmaster!
Best rocket tree simulator of 2015.
Those poor green duders... what have I become! I truly am a monster.
Fun reverse pacman. That guy needs to see a doctor about his flatulence that color doesn't look healthy and I think it even killed a man.
It was a little tough switching between monsters, maybe 1-4 as hotkeys could be easier?
Great graphics and the controls felt very smooth! My only criticism is that the fighting is repetitive, it didn't matter if there was one unarmed guy or 20 pitchfork guys, the tactics of running in and punching are the same.
Beautiful graphics, controls were a little tough though.
Where's the drain on this tank...? Uh, oh, it looks like I truly was the monster...
Can't install Unity plug in on Linux :(
Is there a part after 1-4?
Great tutorial integration, fun gameplay. Best crab boss simulator of 2015.
Fun game! I got the boat and the bee but couldn't find out how to progress further... I may need to come back later.
Does the baby have some sort of levitation device? :P
Great graphics and a neat mechanic... it'll take me some time to master it!
Pretty neat game! Was a little tough to figure out at first but once I learned how to build and control my guys I ate all the stuff and busted up those tanks!
I want blood to blast out when detaching the veins!!1 :P
A fun little tower simulator.
At first I thought it was a tower where monsters would live, but a tower in the town of Monster is cool too.
Surprisingly fun! The mechanics are just complex to keep me trying for another round. The simple premise and nice graphical polish helped a lot too.
Neat idea but the controls are brutal! It was really hard to move around.
Not sure if the meteors were working in the web version, hard to tell...
The web link is a link to a zip which contains a windows version, couldn't play it in my web browser :(
Web link points to a .exe, can't run it on my non-windows :(
Really cool game! I like the shadow and light mechanic. I think there's lots of room to expand to explore the light interactions further, water to put out torches, walls blocking the light, you get the idea. The controls could use a little tightening up, the jump felt kind of floaty, but great game overall!
Maybe I'm bad at reading but I had to read the instructions five times before I figured out how to trap a duder. Maybe an interactive in game tutorial would make showing the mechanics easier? Pretty neat concept and fun once I got it.
2spooky 4 me!
But also nice graphics, and sound!
Looks really cool, but the controls weren't working for me in the web version :(
Web version is unplayable for me :(
Pretty fun mechanic. The difficulty ramps up fast at level 3!
Really funny when the police showed up!
Fun Wario Ware style doctor simulator. Nice music and graphics!
I can't run Unity web player on Linux :(
A pretty ok business demon sim.
A fun postmonster simulator. Parking across 4 handicapped spaces... truly monstrous :P
I like the part where he ate the cookies and turned into a monster :P
Neat concept, definitely a little buggy but it looks like it could be the start of a fun game.
