This game is awesome, great job!

daandruff 2011-08-22 13:56

Nice game, awful music! I didn't feel like the puzzles became harder in the pace that they should though.

BoernerMan 2011-08-22 15:12

nice but kinda buggy

maxx 2011-08-22 15:21

Awesome! nice puzzles, i i hadn“t to vote 500 games i would keep playing it. Congratulations, but the music made a hole in my head.

jacic 2011-08-22 15:53

Great game! The music gets a little annoying after awhile, but the gameplay is amazing.

pvaiun 2011-08-22 16:13

Game is really fun, but like others said, the music loop is way too short. Unique gameplay though, love it.

I really like the concept (although I have to agree that the puzzles don't get hard fast enough). Excellent game.

This stands out from the average entry. A bit liberal take on the already loose theme, but it's worth that sacrifice.

Some of the upgrades and instructions are unnecessary because memory slots are plentiful. This tones down the difficulty and variation.

The music does get annoying quickly, I think this game could do better without it.

dramble 2011-08-22 17:12

Pretty fun, wish I had more powerful instructions and there were a number of bugs but fun.

mstrp2ez 2011-08-22 20:11

Great and innovative game, atleast i havent seen this done much before.

panzermancer 2011-08-22 20:54

Pretty good for 48 hours, but the levels didn't really seem tha tdifficult until the very last one. Not to complain, given your time constraints, but it would have been much more interesting if the puzzles went further than "turn this way, move x squares, that this way, move y squares, so forth and so on." And yeah, the music loop was pretty bad, nothing you can't fix by muting but even then what would be the point of including it at all. The graphics are pretty solid, though, and the interface ran quite smoothly.

Good polish. Nice sound/music/gfx.

I think the levels are too easy (it is possible to win with just advance and turn) except maybe 16.

My final score was 36725.

Some bugs I've found:
Bugged on first load (control panel was in the middle of the screen!). Reload and was ok.
Seem to precaculate when "play" is pressed resulting in a long delay for long sequences (even the music "freezes").
A mine did not explode on level 16 after the first one was destroyed by a laser.

tcstyle 2011-08-23 16:17

It seems to get easier in the later levels.

elbowroom 2011-08-23 17:59

Pretty cool, nice graphics, a bit too easy?

strd6 2011-08-23 21:52

The music is brutal but the game is pretty fun.

toxiclogic 2011-08-23 22:24

A cool concept and a nice polished game. I didn't see any bugs here. :) I would suggest that as you introduce new instructions, that you immediately follow up with a level that requires the player to use that new feature. It's also possible to beat the game without using the laser command and the step forward command, though I'd love to see puzzles that require this!

demonpants 2011-08-25 02:25

A pretty good remake (I can't recall the name of the original game that did this mechanic), but I didn't feel like it added enough beyond that. I also didn't really have much desire to keep playing through the levels, I'm not sure why. You did an excellent job getting a bunch of levels in here and the overall design is great. Just didn't quite do it for me, though.

shigor 2011-08-26 01:12

Karel (programming language) strikes back with vengeance and really, really annoying music. Good job for 48 hours, my only disappointment (apart the music which forced me to mute the sound) were the levels. Too easy and quickly boring. If you make a postcompo version with some interesting and devious levels I'd love to play it

n0_named_guy 2011-08-27 00:06

Great game I must say! It reminds of those LEGO Mindstorms kits... The puzzles were nice! But one complaint... Sometimes the game would consume all my CPU for no apparent reason... And that was annoying (not to mention the loopy tones...). On a CRT monitor it is REALLY hard to read the tooltips. If you will improve this game, improve the tooltips readability. Keep up the good work!

skelethulu 2011-08-27 14:40

LOGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blackbulletiv 2011-08-30 01:20

Great concept! I really like the idea of programming a robot with instructions. If it the idea was fleshed out some more it would be a pretty awesome game.

The audio wasn't good though, especially the music, which was really annoying. Also, I didn't play all 16 levels, but the ten I did play seemed to only increase in instruction count rather than using any new instructions.

marudziik 2011-09-04 21:34

Very nice graphics - music is a bit annoying, but the game is really good. I'd kinda would like to know what were your influences: any games like this, or is it Logo after all?
I'd really like to see this idea developed into something more difficult, as the puzzles were pretty easy. Other than that, this is a very good entry.
