Wow, great idea, great execution. The gameplay is tight, the controls work perfectly. I'm saving this one. Do like.

I like the idea and the music, but due to the 2d objects in 3d space thing going on it's really hard to accurately judge depth and to hit the right colors for that reason. Still, cool concept for 48 hours.
Unfortunately I can't play it. It crashes before anything even shows up, just give an instant "has stopped working" message. And my computer is new, has a good graphics card and I have onpenGL installed.
For what it's worth the videos look fun.
Great job, fun little game. Never crashed for me, and I LOVED the music.
Game is really fun, but like others said, the music loop is way too short. Unique gameplay though, love it.
I liked it, great art and interesting concept. However, I didn't read all the way through your post to realize that there was no happy ending. I spent a good 15 minutes exhausting every option only to find that you always die a sad death.
Love, and I mean love the art style. Fun game, the flying at the end really added to the "let your dreams take flight" vibe. However, the atmosphere would have benefited tremendously from some sound.
I like the sense of tension when you hear the explosions. You know there's a river of death somewhere, but you don't know where/when it's going to get you.
Solid effort, enjoyed it a lot, played it a few times. This is definitely one of my favs.
I don't know if it's intentional or a bug, but your cooldown for you laser drops (the same amount as when you fire a shot) every few seconds, making it very hard to cool down your guns. Only with a ton of gun upgrades was I able to play without waiting a good 30 seconds between killing each badguy.
Other than that though, great game, love the art and the mechanics. Plus you get 5 star in community for the whole XNA Reach thing (had no idea).
Ok game, collision snags a bit on corners but other than that decent.
I liked the phasing mechanic, but the movement controls were too slippery and slow to really make this reccomendable.
Love the story and art style. With fun gameplay to boot! Good job.
Unfortunately I have to say the same thing.
Best. Graphics. Ever.
I was enjoying the story until the game decided that no key or combination of keys on my keyboard would print a quotation mark. :)
Different modes in a game made in 48 hours is a pleasant surprise. It's just a typing game, but it does what it does very well.
Cool game, I like the block placing mechanic, however you might want to try changing the controls for placing blocks to something other than E, it was really awkward to use.
Well, the game had floaty controls which made the basic running frustrating. However everything else was great I loved the color powerups, the musc and animations.
Well initially the plan was for the last "level" to be automatic and the music was going to end perfectly with when the end screen showed up. However, I realized the ending felt much more dramatic when the player was controlling it and I didn't have the time nor the know how to mesh the music with what the player was doing. It's not perfect, but 48 hours isn't a long time ;)
Thanks for the kind words.
I don't think the mechanic of not telling the player what to press on a controller as large as a keyboard is a good one (yes, I did figure it out).
LOVE everything about this. Just letting you know though, if you max out one stat at the beginning of the game. You kill everything in one shot. You are the invincible evil overlord.
The graphics were great, and there is the beginning of something cool here. Shame there's on end screen, multiple levels or goals of any kind. Overall though I still thoroughly enjoyed it.
This was really hard, but it's an interesting concept.
What just happened?
Yeah I got to the part with the turret, pretty fun game.
Love the idea.
