Very impressive although I found it kind of hard!

Nice 3D but couldn't get very far - controls seem to be getting in the way.

panzermancer 2011-08-22 22:08

Really well-done, you certainly put a lot more into 48 hours than most other people. I could only get so far as that part with the two mines, after the orange spinny thing. The bullets were weird to figure out at first, but then I got it and it was actually pretty cool. Good job.

pvaiun 2011-08-22 22:29

Yeah I got to the part with the turret, pretty fun game.

rawbits 2011-08-23 23:31

Fun, but physics are a little weird. The ball is often go the the direction opposite of you would normally expect.

marudziik 2011-08-24 14:05

Physics feel awkward, but the idea is solid. I got to the part with two pointy things after the turret.

demonpants 2011-08-25 02:49

I agree with the other comments: very pretty, seems like a good concept, but is pretty much impossible because the controls don't make any sense. I couldn't beat the first level.

I too got stuck on the turret. One thing that might make it easier to see what's going on would be make some of the walls a bit thicker so you could see more of the conveyor belts and springs and things. Also music might be nice... the sounds get a bit tiring by themselves after awhile. But, great graphics, fun physics engine, interesting idea!

kevinworkman 2011-08-26 19:57

Good start, although like everybody else, it took me quite a while to get used to the physics and controls.

foobaz 2011-08-26 21:08

I couldn't really get used to the physics. It felt like everything was rotating around the center of the screen (rather than just gravity changing directions).

A pretty well made game otherwise. I wish there were no restrictions on the rotating angle throughout the game (like on the winning screen).

Thanks for all the comments so far.

"I found it kind of hard!"

It's supposed to be hard! I do think, however, that it ended up a bit harder than it should have done - room 5 in particular is rather terribly balanced, while a couple of others are harder than I'd have liked to stop it being possible to pass through while simply rotating the world to a particular angle and leaving it there.

"Also music might be nice"

Totally agree.

"It felt like everything was rotating around the center of the screen (rather than just gravity changing directions)."

Because that's what's happening.

danik 2011-08-28 15:23

I think just changing the gravity would be more intuitive, but maybe less interesting, I'm not sure.

felipe-budinich 2011-08-29 20:52

Nice concept and graphics, problem is that the phsyics do not feel right.

I know that everything rotates from the center of the screen, but still I think that there should be some cue that lets the player know how the physics are being handled.

tcstyle 2011-09-04 08:47

Nice idea, but most of the time I weren't sure how the tilt angle influenced ball movement. That makes the game very difficult.
A more consistent batch of colors would be more likeable.

hakearok 2011-09-11 03:35

Great concept and impressive for the time, but I think it would take more than 48 hours to get a whacky control scheme like this to not be frustrating.
