Good implementation and nice graphics.
The graphics are very nice. The main character looks great. I can see this would have turned out to something nice with a bit more time.
Nice work!
...also I overslept this morning.
Wow the transparency really massacred that drawing.
Thanks for the kind comments (and the *cough* gently worded feedback) everyone! It's much appreciated.
Summary so far: Everyone likes the artwork, whereas the code sort of sucks.
Funny stat: I'm a coder for a living D:
haha. I like!
nice atmosphere
Really nice music. You build a good atmosphere here, although I found the actual "pick things up" game mechanic very hard to pull off.
Very impressive although I found it kind of hard!
Very fun. The screenshot makes it look very simple, but the movement of the snake really brings it to life.
I really feel for you losing your release build right at the end. I'd have been raging...
Still very impressed with this. Great atmosphere, and it fits nicely with the theme. The untextured graphics work well for me, and the scenery looks great, all working to build the mood.
All round a nice progression from what you did with Fireflies.
This could have been really fun, the basic mechanic was good and the graphics/control/audio were all ther, but it was waaaaay to hard. It looks like you had a mechanic where you ended up with multiple characters, but I never reached it.
Impressed how much context you created. The lighting was probably the best thing here. The difficulty curve was completely punishing though - I couldn't get past the third screen! Good effort
Nice little game. The camera follow was so slow though! I don't get it.
Very impressive little game for your first ever attempt!
Seems you got a decent amount done. I found the gameplay quite hard, but I think there is a good game in here. Well done completing the game!
Love it! Really impressed how much you got done, and how well the simple mechanic worked. I could see this expanded into a full game.
Well implemented... quite spooky. thought it was sort of hard though.
The little win anims made me laugh :)
Well done! Great game. Like how you linked the theme in as well :)
Can't think what theme you were hoping for... ;)
Nice somple concept very well executed. The end made me
smile :)
Wonderfully old school. Very solid all rounder - especially nice graphics and music.
hah! Interesting idea, and I got a suitable kick out of seeing the outcomes. Good work!
Afraid I couldn't run. I have java installed.

Could not find the main class: EpicEngine. Program will exit.

Great effort - especially getting the full intro/graphics/sound in there.
Love how old school this one is.
Really nice work. The simple graphics worked well (I liked the blur effect). The idea of making the spikey shape more efficient is really nice too.
Good work! I especially liked the flavour text :)
Environment looks lovely. I'm not sure that unwrapping it was best use of time as the texture doesn't add loads in this case - its all about the geometry and lighting you've added.
Core mechanic works really well. Gold is maybe a little hard to see, but this plays into the exploration of the environment.
This amused me far more than it should have :)
Are you british by any chance? I feel like you must be. My british sense is tingling.
Good work. You managed to get an insane amount done here. The graphics look great, and the music is nice, and appropriately spacey.
Thought the difficulty was pretty reasonable once I rationed my missiles a bit.
Also you get bonus kudos for the flying goat.
A nice idea, although the pacing was a little slow - too much walking between puzzles and repetition. Also the cameras and other stuff were on complete hair triggers.
You got an amazing amount done though, and overall this is a really solid effort. Well done!
Nice work. Hard to understand the mechanic at first but after that it's kind of compulsive...
Well done for how much work you got done. The game design could have done more focus, but the world looked excellent.
I think a more abstract art style would have worked better here, but the gameplay was there. The controls could maybe have been a bit more forgiving - I didn't really understand why I lost some of the time.
Nice execution overall though.
Amazing work
Really interesting idea and amazing how much you have gotten in in the time. Think the individual mini games were pretty hard tho :)
Niec little game although surprisingly hard. Think if the player movement was a bit faster or more interesting (maybe with acceleration) it would have helped the game.
Nice drawings :)
Stylish, nice execution. Especially liked the way the sword swiped side to side. Special credit on the sound and way you hit your Japanese theme.
Really nice entry - best I've played yet I think. Good sense of humour, but most it just had really compulsive gameplay. I completed it once and accidentally skipped the final cutscene, so had to go back to complete it again to see what happened - not a complaint though as there aren't many LD games I'd want to complete right through twice in a row :)
Really tight game design. Feel like the shooting would have been better to lock it's direction once you start shooting (to let you strafe), but otherwise really nice. Looks amazing too.
Cool little game. Really nice drawings. Found the platforming a bit awkward, but I liked how you used the rotation mechanic.
I'm pretty sure I hallucinated this whole thing...
Created a nice feeling of tension here, although the music was a bit grating the end. The game turned out really fun. Not sure about the keyboard layout you have but I found the Z key to be really awkward to reach for the slide move. Some of the mechanics tended to be a bit twitchy, but not surprising given you got so much working in the time. Really impressed with this effort. Well done on completing your first ludum dare :)
Really cool design - very minimalist and immediate but with a bit of thought required from the player.
Love that you did an RTS in the time you had. Think the map was a bit spread out - would have worked just as well with the whole thing on one screen and everything moving slower. Also I really wanted a "select all army" button. The (non) pathfinding style was fine I thought - didn't cause any problems. Really nice little entry overall.
Bit worried how much fun I found this :)
Just one small thing - personally I found it really awkward using the up arrow key for jump - would have been nice to have it on space or x or something.
Congratulations. You just melted my brain.
Hi, sorry but I can't run this even though I have python installed, I think because it requires pygame. Is there any way you could have included it in the download?
Great, and potentially hilarious, idea for a central mechanic. Good job building a tile engine in the time as well :)
I think my coordination is too rubbish to be good at this. Really stylish art here, although I doubt I saw half of it as I found the platforming (even on easy) to be really hard :(
Like the idea tho and a nice execution.
Definitely needs a public server up with details in the description.
Very stylish execution. Great work!
Wow amazing work! Really clever idea and very tight execution. Well done :)
Can definitely see a lot of mileage in the core concept here. Would be interesting to see some more levels even just using these elements.
Think it looks good as well despite the simple presentation. Love the name btw :)
Thanks for the plays and comments everyone - much appreciated :)
The power-ups don't give more than three shots but they keep making you shoot faster.
You are obviously mental for doing so many mini games in such a short time. Great effort though. Love the procedural anims :)
Very nice idea here. Could have done with the editor and level fitting on one screen. Also a few more interesting actions for the bots. Overall impressive stuff though.
