Really good idea. Looks like an optical illusion...

Viscis 2011-08-22 14:26

This is highly addictive and cute.

andrew-2 2011-08-22 15:48

Love the concept, the shape reminds me of a toy i had once where you had to get 2 balls to the centre of a circular maze.

RadicalEd 2011-08-22 18:19

Sweet! You should give this game a nice graphic and cool sound, and publish it! :)

redwater 2011-08-22 21:32

great, love it. definately got potential, although it gets repetitive rather quickly. in the begining you're able to just go around in circles and be fine most of the time.
it love to see some gameplay varieties, like barriers speeding things up temporarily if you move through, or invert the flow of circles.

also, very hypnotic, please dont add colors, i might play it all day long :P

travistx 2011-08-22 23:09

Cool and original concept. You should add "levels" so the player gets a break every now and then.

taslemguy 2011-08-23 01:26

I like the game idea. It's mesmerizing. Its gameplay is not very complex. Still, overall good.

vandriver 2011-08-23 04:21

This would have been way more mesmerizing with some kind of hypno-toad tones! Very easy to just mindlessly play for long periods of time even as it is.

in the beginning it's really nice, but at some point it's just "continue to press <- for the next 5 rings" and "now switch to -> for some time" ... and since the radar ball drops through the holes in the rings so easily, there's not much a player can do wrong - like getting stuck on an edge due to wrong timing.
I'd also like some more variety, maybe alternating distances between the rings or some speed up phases.
Anyway, it was fun to play :)

Really fun, but easy mode may be a little too easy. I had a blast in hard mode! I do wish that you'd just picked a control scheme for the player rather than asking them all of that up front. The mouse was my personal favorite because the feel meshed well with the radar-ish graphics. I like the clean look of the game, too :).

Magnificent mechanics, great use of Flash tweens as well. Kept playing it again and again getting more dizzy by each playthrough. Argh.

Simple concept

Very interesting mechanic! Graphics are simple but that feels appropriate aesthetically. The main menu could be a little more user-friendly but beyond that I really enjoyed playing this, nice work adding in a hi-score table too!

Shadow 2011-08-26 02:54

Loved it! Although the "UI" is kinda confusing.
I didn't submit a highscore since I pretty much sucked at it, lol. But it's quite a good game.

callidus 2011-08-28 07:55

nice idea, confusing UI though. I good game that quite relaxing to play for a length of time. Good submission

angrygeometry 2011-08-29 02:04

wow, neat puzzle(?) game. very good idea executed well.

chaoslab 2011-08-29 11:23

:-)

n0_named_guy 2011-09-01 02:55

Neat!

I wish I tried the hard version first. The easy one seemed like a patience test to me. I still wanted to get the high score (on my first run) but even while going for it, I felt a bit like it's an anti-score; "This guy went the longest without realizing he could quit." :P. Tried to level off at 3333 but screwed that up :/.

The hard one is fun. Unless I'm mistaken, you have an algorithm that ensures it's always possible to continue play? If so, that's very cool.

I like to chant encouraging things while playing this one, hoping to hypnotize myself :).

31eee384 2011-09-03 16:28

Yep, if the physics work correctly it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll be able to continue. The generation uses a rotational velocity, adding a random acceleration every frame, so it sort of lends itself to the "ok, go right... now go left" sort of play.

A lot of time was spent getting that high score table working, so I didn't have time to make it more difficult. :P

mactuitui 2011-09-03 23:23

Very nice idea and sweet implementation. Maybe you should tweak it so that you never touch the outer frame (the big circle): right now, especially in the beginning, you can reach that point but you are stuck inside ; there is no way to escape. Knowing that my motivation went down for a bit, but then I tried hard mode and I did not have the luxury to think about that anymore!

felipe-budinich 2011-09-09 23:29

I got 907 rings, and now my field of view is distorted X-D

brighterorange 2011-09-10 16:51

Nice idea and execution! The mesmerizing animation is great. Very intuitive controls and gameplay. I feel like I could play easy mode forever if I can keep myself from being hypnotized (hi-score 317 or so). Hard mode is pretty hard; does the ball even move fast enough?
