LD22 — Alone

Leave my Lettuce Alone :( by NeiloGD 2012-01-08T22:31:00

Really well done game, the core mechanic was solid and original, and every time I lost I knew it was my own fault. The graphics and sound really made the rabbits, cat, and lettuce seem believable. And the mechanic where the rabbits who are alone get scared and run away was an interesting take on the theme.

Accident by AbelToy 2011-12-22T06:04:00

There is so much right with this game. I felt alone, I felt responsible for the friend, I loved the dark humor, and the puzzles were interesting, but not too frustratingly difficult. Kudos to you!

My Own Universe by Darkhogg 2011-12-20T05:42:00

Strong beginning, kind of short, but what is there was good, and the story was decent. I'm interested to see where this goes if you decide to continue working on it.

Cat Vend by devinmoore 2012-01-02T06:24:00

Hilarious theme song! Although I can't help but wonder if it's even possible to catch that cat, I right on top of it three separate times. Although I guess that's how real claw machines work too, so it's realistic at least :P

The ghost who wants to be alone by Fenyx 2012-01-02T06:36:00

Fun game, but a bit too difficult for my ability! Good job!

Last breath by deepnight 2012-01-02T05:58:00

Very unique art style, excellent level of polish and the run-from-your-shadow mechanic works pretty well with the theme. Although I found even the easy mode too difficult for me, it's possible I lack the strategic foresight to win. Overall, very well done!

Aloneman by glowingredhue 2011-12-20T05:49:00

Pretty fun game, quite difficult. Nice work!

Dungeons of Solitude by Knighty 2011-12-23T04:19:00

"Innovation" is not some critical aspect to a fun game, especially when you know the fundamentals this well. A tried-and-true concept done very solidly, and I'd love to see you flesh this out into full fledged game.

LISA by Miasmir 2011-12-20T05:13:00

Well, the movement controls were not my cup of tea. But the writing in this game was exquisite; I HAD to keep on playing just to read all the notes. It fit the theme perfectly, as well as being one of relatively few games that made me truly care about the characters. Nice work!

Minicraft by Notch 2011-12-22T02:37:00

Not bad at all. Don't worry about the "unoriginal" naysayers. Being totally innovative under such insane time limits is a very rare trait, especially with "make Minecraft again" echoing beside your live feed every 2 seconds. Nice effort!

Fernands War by nickd3000 2012-01-08T22:57:00

The gameplay was solid, the graphics were appropriate, and the story... was unique and clever. Excellent work!

Outpost Alone by kokido 2011-12-24T19:46:00

The graphics in general, and the stars especially, looked really good! Like some of the other comments have said, I found the bullets a bit too slow, but overall a pretty decent game.

Kitty Crusade by edibletoaster 2011-12-20T05:32:00

The rain on the invisible ground was a very innovative and neat idea! The actual gameplay was fairly difficult; Especially in the few rainless areas. Overall, Nice job!

Not Alone by Urfoex 2011-12-23T03:43:00

Neat idea! I think a stand-alone version would make it a lot easier for more people to play your game though.

Can't Survive Alone by revilossor 2011-12-22T02:55:00

Pretty tough game. Good job!

Glow by StarLight 2011-12-20T04:30:00

Excellent mood, definitely evokes the theme. The part with the several small jumping blocks all in a row was quite difficult, took me a few tries. Overall nice work, especially for a first game. Keep at it :)

Dead World by Saxon Douglass 2011-12-23T02:46:00

Very clever idea with the server syncing. The two music tracks were hilarious! Well done!

Realistic Desert Survival Simulator by Tatham 2011-12-22T05:19:00

This was actually quite fun. "I wandered around the desert for a bit, then I smashed open a cactus with a rock and drank the cactus water, then I got hungry so I ate a snake." Every part of that sentence is pure awesome. I'd love to see you what you end up doing with this.

The LD Lament by TiMMyyMMiT 2011-12-27T04:41:00

Very surreal, and interesting atmosphere. I enjoyed the ending, and your commitment to the theme. Nice work!

Alone in My Head by aberghage 2011-12-22T02:07:00

Fun game, and a neat idea. The wall-jumping felt a little unnatural, but it was fun for as far as I got.

The Cheese Stands Alone by tSwitch 2011-12-22T05:45:00

Fun game and original concept. Well done :)

Best Friend by TestSubject06 2011-12-20T04:12:00

Got both endings! Nice use of the theme, and solid gameplay. Well done, sir.

Deadly Robot Spree by PapyPilgrim 2011-12-22T05:36:00

If this were an arcade game, you sir, would have a pocketful of my quarters. Simple, solid, and downright delightful to play. This is the holy grail all game developers aim for, and you have done it. Bravo! And by all means, keep up the good work.

Paper Dream by Claw 2012-01-08T20:10:00

Very natural-feeling game. The player movement was almost hypnotic, and moving everything around without any real purpose (that I could tell) felt very appropriate. Eventually I accidentally put the Whale in the "Right place" and then tried a few of the others, but had much less luck with them. Overall though, very interesting game.

People by commando 2012-01-09T02:21:00

Fits the theme very well, and although it was short it used the time well. Nice job, and I look forward to seeing what you bring to the next competition.

Abandoned by Ian Morrison 2011-12-20T05:21:00

Love the idea of desperately trying to find another lantern as yours starts to dim and the dark scary things close in on you. Very tense!

Cave Runner by Whitenickel 2011-12-27T05:01:00

Other comments had some fair points, an ability to restart would have made it easier to try again, and it'd be good to know to jump on the ball, not run into it. That being said, I find the one-life-only choice to have been appropriate for this game. Personally I found myself playing through the entire thing many times to get "one more try" on one tricky jump, and the only having one life made it more significant and satisfying to finally succeed. It may not have been an ideal choice for this competition (I never did get to any of the "control multiple cube" levels) but it certainly makes this game a lot more substantial. This is one of the two only LD22 games that I can see myself replaying after rating it. Bravo!

Alone and Stranded by AwesomeKT 2011-12-27T05:15:00

Congratulations on sticking with it and submitting your game! I found this one pretty hard to figure out, although I experimentally guessed the controls after awhile. I am sure you've learned a lot this time, and I look forward to playing your submission for the next one.

A World Alone by strong99 2011-12-27T05:46:00

I was really and truly enjoying this game, it was shaping out to be a really excellent first-person adventure. However, the drone part (perfectly fun, mind, especially their talking) went far too long and was far too difficult. I suspect if throwing one drone into others caused them all to break, it would have been more manage-able, and you did imply there were other ways to defeat them, but I was unable to find any. So perhaps my lack of originality is to blame, but having to restart the countdown every time, and the sheer difficulty prevented me from finishing. My apologies if there was more afterward, and I'd have loved to play it, but as far as I got it was very well done!

Populating_Racing by Jilius 2011-12-27T06:05:00

The race-against-yourself, fits the theme very well, and was a good way to keep track of how much better you were doing than the previous lap. It turns out I'm really bad at this game, but that's no one's fault but mine. Nicely done!

Loyd's Tale by pillowdrift 2011-12-27T06:20:00

The level design was superb! Challenging without being frustrating. I found the birds to be more hilarious than annoying, though I can't explain why. Overall, great game, and I'd love to see it expanded into a longer game. :)

Never Dance Alone Darryl by BlennosoftGames 2011-12-23T03:39:00

@Urfoex - Good point, I have updated the main text to include more detailed instructions. Thanks.

@Saxon Douglass - Glad you like it!

Relativity by crypticsea 2012-01-02T03:49:00

Interesting idea, but I'd have liked to see it used in a larger variety of ways. Still, good job on what is there.

LD26 — Minimalism

Conversion by Spiridios 2013-05-04T04:48:00

Cool idea and definitely takes the Minimalism theme to an extreme. One thing that might be helpful is to let the player know if the movement is top down or FPS-style. For example, when I hit a wall, do I hold left to turn around then hold up to walk forward for awhile, or do I hold left instead of up to walk left instead for awhile?

Ten Space by Thomas Bowker 2013-04-30T05:09:00

Very challenging take on an established mechanic. Minimalistic, but challenging. But perhaps too challenging.

Keep It Simple. by PixelMonkey 2013-05-04T04:10:00

Very retro, and very solid. The ship-improvements at the expense of score multipliers is a cool addition too. Nice work!

U by KEFIR 2013-04-30T05:41:00

This is the most polished game I've played from this competition, and I was surprised how fun it turned out to be. The "Maniac" level was a bit tricky, but the solution is clever. Very well done, sir.

Save the princess of the minimalist world! by Toastation 2013-05-04T05:25:00

Fun and interesting game. Challenging, but not frustratingly so. Although the speed-tiles are more of a hazard than a help :P Got up to but not past level 8.

Limbo Dare by Matt Hartley 2013-05-04T05:06:00

Cool and simple game. The jumping in this game was better than most platformers on this site, making that precision jumping part much less frustrating than it would be otherwise. Well don on that. Checkpoints would be nice though, but it's short enough that they weren't too sorely missed.

Double Edged by pereubu 2013-04-30T02:26:00

This is incredible! Amazing aesthetic, and overall brilliant feel.

The Bare minimum by andrewphillips00 2013-05-03T04:40:00

I got to the end! The controls are pretty sticky, but pretty awesome for a 1 hour effort.

Flight Time by Lerc 2013-04-30T03:20:00

Could use a bit of instruction at the start, but overall a whole lot of fun packed into a very simple mechanic. The "previous markers" were a brilliant, and crucial, feature.

SUMOMIMAL by Conve 2013-05-03T03:33:00

I really liked the music! Knowing which way the cube was facing wasn't a problem for me, but the left/right controls being inverted threw me off. Also, I have no idea what I was supposed to do. But I hope it was push the other shapes off the platform. Because I did a lot of that, and it was fun. The momentum for overpowering the other shapes feels very right.

(R,G,B) by KilledByAPixel 2013-05-02T04:31:00

Holy Cow! This is fun idea, explored well (the green tracks, bouncing, momentum) and polished to a brilliant shine! Climbing that hill at the end honestly felt like climbing a real rocky hill (struggle, slip, try again). I can honestly say, if you were to add a few more levels to this, and put it up for sale, I would buy it! Put it on Steam, I'd buy it for a few friends too.

I was kind of hoping the prize-at-the-end was being able to fully see that behind-the-game image (since the game teases us with it at a few spots) but perhaps that's an idea for the retail-version ;)

Bipolar Bradley by cason 2013-04-30T03:08:00

This is hat-eating bizarre, and I love it! My top score 64,850! Longest combo: 20! Take that insanity! :)

Blob Runner by TheThirdOne 2013-04-30T02:15:00

Very cute graphics, and surprisingly fun game play. Well done!

Pick-M by Lim3s 2013-04-30T03:27:00

Very innovative idea, and interesting take on the theme. The ability-picking would be more exciting if there was some sort of "point multiplier" or similar bonus for picking fewer abilities. And if every level could be beaten with only one ability (though with difficulty) to really show off your idea. Very well done though for the time we had :)

Blocked Maze by Back to Browse Entries 2013-04-30T02:57:00

I do enjoy a good maze. Those spinning blades are quite nerve-wracking, I confess I did not get past the 3rd level. But very much enjoyed as much as I did play.

Stickman Adventure by miro662 2013-05-03T03:23:00

Just an FYI. You would get FAR more people to play your game if you hosted it on a service that could be freely used (without having to register) Few people will take the effort to create a throw-away account on some third-party site just to be able to download your game.

Mediafire and Dropbox are the most popular choices on here, I've seen some hosted on Gamejolt as well. There are many choices that make it easier for people to play and rate your game.

You may want to look into some other hosting options before voting ends.

Captain Blowhole by EatYourBeef_Doug 2013-04-30T02:19:00

Really cool idea! And the destructible planets are a nice treat :)

Voider by Back to Browse Entries 2013-04-30T04:49:00

Probably the most minimalist game I've played so far, yet still manager to be fun and interesting. The sort of game where you keep saying "just one more time" until it's midnight :P Although it's a bit too easy to "skip" the score screen if you're mashing SPACE.

Zero. by frankbsad 2013-04-30T04:29:00

Really cool idea. The timed mandatory shooting and ricocheting bullets makes for a really interesting balance between shooting your opponent while trying not to shoot yourself. :P Well done!

City Walk by MaxSzlagor 2013-04-30T02:36:00

Very original, and the city feels quite "alive". Though it could benefit from some more varied interactions.

The Unseen by Lamprabbit 2013-05-02T06:39:00

The atmosphere of this game is so good, especially the shock after the first explosion reveals where you are.

However, the collision detection make the game a lot more frustrating and trial-and-error prone than it should be. Most of the time I had an easier time finding my way when I didn't use the pulse or explosion, and just walked around my old dead bodies. Even after having beaten it a few times I'm still not sure what specifically kills you (Red things? Everything? Hitting things at high speed?).

After the first time I tried doing it faster, and then without dying a few times to see if the ending changed, but I guess it doesn't. Which is appropriate. Also, given that I tried for a solid half-hour on this game (longer than any other) suggests you're definitely doing something very right.

Super Minimalistic by spilth 2013-05-03T03:53:00

I played the whole game before reading the don't-collect-anything note, and kept thinking "Didn't I get them all, did I miss one?" But then playing it again, properly, was far more challenging and the item-placement made far more sense. Some pregame instruction to that effect would have been good. Also the platforming controls could be tightened up a bit. But overall, a clever take on the theme, forcing a lot of people to fight their collectors instincts, which was really neat.

We Dreamers by stevejohnson 2013-04-30T05:31:00

There is something very cheerful about this game. As far as I can tell you don't "win" you just smile :)

SeedLife by shawn42 2013-05-02T05:18:00

Interesting idea, and kinda neat to watch. Although I personally think it'd be more enjoyable with more detailed graphics.

Super Mandelbrot Explorer Mk3 Turbo Deluxe with Cheese by SeanAtr0n 2013-04-30T02:39:00

Mathematical!

Jetpack Survival by BlennosoftGames 2013-05-02T03:48:00

@Everyone - Thanks a lot! I'm glad you liked it!

@Trench - Thank you for your comments! I am aware of that floating-bullet glitch but sadly I did not have time to fix it. At least it doesn't actually threaten you so it's not game-breaking. Also, I did experiment with having the tanks aim at the player, however that quickly became much too difficult to dodge, if not impossible, since you can only dodge up and down. The aimless firing seems dangerous enough :P

Jetpack Survival by BlennosoftGames 2013-05-04T21:46:00

@hamster_mk_4 : Thanks for playing! Any of the "Use Jetpack" buttons also work to restart the game. However there is a 2-second period after losing where they won't work, to prevent accidentally skipping your chance to view your time and rank. After 2 seconds just press whichever button you were using the Jetpack with.

@tankete : Thanks for the comment :) I wanted to at least add a Jetpack engine and tank-explosion sound but ran out of time :( The ranks are based off of your play-style rather than how well you played. There's info about earning the ranks in the description. I would have added more ranks for long-time survivors, but didn't have time to determine what was an 'impressive' enough amount of time. It seems most people tend to get in and around 2 minutes, so maybe 3 or 4 would be good, but I didn't know that until the commenters started telling me.

The Square - By Suese by Suese 2013-04-30T03:43:00

Nice parody of the theme in the intro :P Also quite fun, though took me a few tries to figure out you have to hold the attack button.

Requiem by Nik Sudan 2013-05-02T06:53:00

Excellent sound mood and visuals, well stylized and unique. However for a platforming game (even a minimalist one) the 'camera' is a bit too up-close. Also the Wall-Jump is a bit buggy and inconsistent, every time I think I've gotten the hang of it, it stops working. Still looks and sounds nice though :)

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Detective Awesomepants by xel 2013-08-28T00:49:00

Wow! I liked how the mysteries were generally complex enough to take some serious thought, yet straight-forward enough that you had a fair shot at getting them on your first try.

I didn't figure out the reasoning in the sumo wrestler one though, just randomly picked the right guy. The rest were all very satisfying to solve though.

10 Second Tai by Teejay5 2013-08-29T02:23:00

I love the sheer absurdity of it all! The gameplay and story shared the same breathlessly joyous excitement, making them mesh perfectly together and compliment each other.

A full-length game of this sort would give birth to a new genre and I would raucously applaud it.

Midlands Noire by Ysty 2013-08-29T02:04:00

Interesting game. Definitley had a very strong point to make, though as a non-European I had to do a bit of research to understand it.

Overall a respectable first foray into the world of 3D games :)

Frost by coreym1988 2013-08-27T03:26:00

Cool game idea, very nice looking graphics. However I found it a bit bothersome that neither ESC nor ALT+F4 would close the game after I won (I didn't see the "P" comment at first). Also, it seems you can build a tent and win without the box of supplies.

Overall pretty good though.

Time War by Mr. Jif 2013-08-27T01:22:00

Pretty fun game. I liked the different types of guns, and the music too. And the difficulty curve was very good, a nice easy first level to learn on, and then the challenge starts ramping up nice and quickly.

The aiming at the little guys was a bit tricky though, since it seems to shoot the bullets just slightly to the left of the mouse pointer.

Nice game :)

Bomb Squad by Levi D. Smith 2013-08-29T01:21:00

Quite a lot of fun I must say. The first time I inadvertently burst through a wall like the Kool-Aid guy I nearly fell over laughing. That was a hilarious feature. The voice-over was a nice touch too.

Occasionally when two different colored bombs spawned really close together it would try to disarm both, and blow one up, other than that quite fair, and solid.

Lovely game!

10 Seconds and The Wizard by michail 2013-08-28T01:45:00

Simple yet compelling, nice balance. I liked the old-school children's game feel to some of the puzzles.

I did find the flying keys to be more challenging than you had probably intended though. even when I'd hone in on one key and track it's movements, there seemed to be some randomness in their bounce trajectory, plus they were small enough that it required incredibly fast fingers. But I did make it all the way to the end, and I'm glad I did.

Honestly, if you wanted to do so, I can see this turning into a very decent kid's game for tablets/smartphones, if you made the story and difficulty a bit more kid-friendly.

Seanan's Brewery by ZYXer 2013-08-30T06:14:00

This is far more solid than I was expecting, and the 10-second goal was exactly the right amount of difficulty. I eventually got to 1 crate every 8.3 seconds.

The amount of available building space felt like a limitation toward the end, a 'sell/destroy' function may have helped, or a larger play area, for further expansion.

Fun game though, I'll be replaying this one a few times :)

Explosion Time by Fervir 2013-08-27T03:58:00

That was delightful! The action was hilariously over-the-top in the most exciting of ways! And the hopping around destructible terrain, and the desperate shooting felt oh so right.

It got a bit weird toward the end though, it feels like when the ground beneath you is all blown up, you should fall and die, I ended up loop-falling quite a bit before finding more land.

Overall tons of fun, and I will definitely be replaying this later.

Escape of the Alien by Hexadecima1 2013-08-27T01:03:00

Fun game! The simplicity of the core mechanics made it pretty intuitive and smooth to play, and re-play. The 'pre-plan your route' idea was a nice way of balancing the short time limit and I liked the 'dizzy' effect when you touch the bombs.

The random level generation could use a little more work though, I had at least one level that didn't have an Exit (maybe it was behind something?) and two levels where I started with a brown-bomb right on top of me.

Overall, good job!

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-08-28T00:56:00

Score: 4320 :D

I don't think I am very good at this game, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The best motivation to stay alive is to keep the music going, and to keep seeing the funny random mission texts :P

The difficulty was certainly high, but after I got used to it I don't think it was unreasonable.

PROBE TEAM by Andrew Shouldice 2013-08-27T01:59:00

Beat it with my 29th probe!

I honestly loved this game, very interesting take on the theme, amazing audio and visuals working together to make an amazing atmosphere! And the sense of bittersweet joy when a probe makes it's final stop right as it touches the switch. Rock solid implementation too, and plenty of interesting mechanics.

My only complaint, is that it's over :(

A few more levels, puzzles, etc. and I'd gladly buy a full version of this game.

Gauntlet: A Series of Ten Second Strategies by OkayHughes 2013-08-29T01:07:00

Very interesting idea, although the controls were certainly confusing. Only after reading the comments did I try clicking the background of the game first to make Q and E start working. Although after that it was much more playable.

Very innovative concept :)

Candelabra by DuFF 2013-08-27T02:48:00

Very interesting idea, and appropriate visuals. However, it seemed the difference between "too fast" and "as fast as you need to go to win" was pretty small, I had trouble being too fast or too late. Then again, that did make it more challenging, and the flames weakening did give fair warning.

Nice work!

Stacked Trio by skullbonejp 2013-08-27T02:38:00

Nice and simple, yet nearly impossible to master. I kept telling myself "one more time, just a bit further". Although after you get to a high speed and you die, it feels so slow when you restart and I always jump too soon!

Cute game :)

The Choice by matthewvermaak 2013-08-27T04:53:00

I kept replaying, and replaying. There had to be a way...

I really don't know what else there is to say, other than how it was so very... Affective.

The music didn't loop quite-right, and the brief cut-out broke immersion a bit, but the story covered for it well.

Good work, and I very much look forward to your future entries!

Return to Diamond Castle by reostra 2013-08-27T03:39:00

When I first started playing I thought "hmmm... feels... familiar", after the first 10 seconds, "Could it really... could it be..." and then I got my first invincibility power-up, I nearly screamed "3D PACMAN!!"

Lovely idea, and well executed.

Hell Pizza by h_double 2013-08-27T03:33:00

That was bizarre, nonsensical, and mind-bending. Exactly what I needed right now! :P

Test Subject No. 14756 by talecrafter 2013-09-08T22:25:00

Cool game, reminded me a lot of Portal, but with fewer portals. But with the humor and puzzles, etc.

the jumping as a bit tough to control, but I eventually got the hang of it.

Nicely done, sir.

Yea by prettymuchbryce 2013-08-27T03:10:00

I did it!! Honestly, I was a bit weirded out by this game at first. But the world is actually pretty full and interesting once you take a look around, and although the humor is a bit eccentric, it certainly made me chuckle.

Interesting game.

[spoiler alert?]
Also, The effects when you first see a Tarachnel nearly gave me a heart attack.
[end spoiler]

Jellyfish Shall Rule the Earth by bigbazwa 2013-08-27T02:30:00

11,000 points! The only having 10 seconds of air maximum makes it constantly tense and scary. Although I tend to die more often from getting shot. The Jellyfish losing legs when you hit them is a cool way to show damage without "health bars".

LD35 — Shapeshift

Shift the Shapes by Larzan 2016-04-20T02:35:00

This is a really cool puzzle game concept! Once I got a hang of the core concepts, and started solving the puzzles I was feeling super smart! ... then I got to level 10 :P

Haha, but seriously that one had me stumped for a good 10 minutes. I did end up beating all 11 though.

Capital Offense by GAFBlizzard 2016-04-18T03:08:00

Pretty fun game. Slightly retro, yet also modern. I like that you can map the keys at the start, since comfortably reaching all 5 keys without looking is pretty crucial to staying alive.

Good job, and good luck!

The Shinobi Trial by Foxtacy 2016-04-22T02:57:00

I dodged 10 Oni and Destroyed 13 Blocks! Took me a few tries to learn which form to use on each trial, and to judge the height of the Oni, but one I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it.

Good graphics music, and animations too. Everything fit together really nicely :)

A running timer in-game to see how long you've lasted so far, would be really cool. Although then I might never be able to stop playing :P

I like how you made a platformer, where the only two buttons were "shapeshift" yet you could use them to jump, glide, duck, fit through gaps, and all the platform games necessities, just by intuitively using the physics. Very clever thinking.

Fairly tricky to get the hang of, mind you, but I managed to save 2 of those little guys.

All Turd Beast by SamH 2016-04-23T02:26:00

Haha, nice! Quite a varied flushed out set of mechanics, had a lot more going on than I expected. I liked how each new mechanic took a bit of thinking to figure out, and then became super useful!

A few sound effects would have been a great addition, especially for the ending :P Good work!

Shapeshifting by Tooichi 2016-04-23T02:34:00

A bit unfinished, sure. But was still challenging enough to be interesting and fun! The jump was a bit "floaty" though. But I kept playing until the end, and had to retry each level at least a couple times, so you must've done something right :)

Simen the snail by BloodJohn 2016-04-20T02:51:00

Best I could do was 71, but I took the other comments' advice and played like there was a timer. I liked the interesting tricks the game throws at you as you progress to keep ramping up the challenge and keep things fresh!

Nice work :)

Absorber by FaeDine 2016-04-23T00:53:00

Super fun for only 6 hours work! I liked how the larger you got the bigger of a target you became, so it had a naturally scaling difficulty curve based on how well you were doing. I managed to get up to size 250, before a huge shape totally enveloped me and took me down to 0.

I did feel the slowdown trade-off for large size was a bit too exaggerated. By the time I was 150 I was barely moving at all. Oh, and the parallax looked great :D

The Cursed Forest by Gametery 2016-04-22T01:47:00

Wow! This is like a full-fledged game. Played it all the way through. I loved how you sort of jump around between different levels as you unlock new transformations, to get past a part you thought was impossible before. Lots of levels, a hub world, and a even cool little ending cut-scene too. Bravo!

Soothsayer Simulator 2016 by iceburg7 2016-04-19T04:20:00

I was surprised and pleased with this one. Minimalist, and yet everything it needed to be. So glad I played through to the end :)

Those Aren't Stars by Gtron 2016-04-19T04:51:00

Really cute graphics and animations plus impressive visual effects! Fairly solid game play too. Decent length and level variety, and a surprisingly varied boss battle. You used your 48 hours well :D

I did find one glitch: Bree's health bar didn't seem to visually update during the Radiance fight. So I did not know how close to dying I was. Still managed to win though :)

2 levels only by ougrouk 2016-04-18T02:45:00

Neat game. I like the idea of typing what you want to turn into, lot's of opportunity for expansion there. It was a bit short, but 48 hours is never as long as we think.

Overall good submission for a first game. Keep working at it, and I look forward to seeing your future games.

Pufferfish: The Game Not The Fish by HunGARE 2016-04-23T01:09:00

The sound effects for this game made me so happy. I was grinning ear-to-ear the whole time! :P

Really good job for a first Ludum Dare. One tip: The health bar might have been better placed at the bottom of the screen, to not block the view. Great job, and I'm looking forward to seeing your next entry! :D

The Maze Nightmare by docteurSid 2016-04-20T01:55:00

I lasted: 941 s. The combination of the tense music, creepy visuals and the shrinking view had me desperately and breathlessly rushing around and freaking out much like the main character would be as the end got nearer. So very well done on the immersion factor!

I'll be coming back to this one for sure. I'm a big fan of mazes in general, and this one is a great big beauty :D

Tsocwol Tour Operator by LeReveur 2016-04-30T01:43:00

Haha, fun and funny :)

I liked how the combination of the time limit and the close-but-not-that-close disguise options made it feel like being invited to Halloween party last-minute and quickly tossing together a costume from things around the house :P

XForm Arena by sanojian 2016-04-19T03:58:00

Cool game! I liked how the 3 forms of the ship worked together, once I figured them out. The speedy one, the agile battle-ready one, and the shielded digging one. I got up to 5 points one time.

Unfortunately I never did find any aliens or players to battle. So I feel like I missed out a bit on the combat. But I'll probably come back to this one later and maybe have better luck. I did find a lot of planets and diamonds :)

Shifty Seamus by BlennosoftGames 2016-04-19T04:06:00

@sanojian - Thanks! The ghosts were actually a last-minute addition, but I am glad I was able to get them in :)

@theOnlyGoodDrcz - Glad you liked it! And yeah, I also wish I had more time left over to make more levels.

Shifty Seamus by BlennosoftGames 2016-04-22T02:40:00

@Everyone
Thanks a lot guys! I had no idea the ghosts would be so popular :D

@BitDare & @Arvydas
Yeah, I rewrote the collision detection code 3 times and never quite perfected it.

The springs/spikes only bounce/kill you when you fall directly onto them, not when you walk across them, or land on the very edge. Might not have been right choice, but I wanted to prevent cheap brushed-your-toe-against-the-spikes deaths.

Exhuman by Arvydas 2016-04-22T02:17:00

Gorgeous graphics, the style, the detail, the animations. Such a pretty game. On the down side, I am just plain terrible at it. I leveled up to 3, once, just barely. Lot's of fun to lose at :P

The 3 Rules of 2-Color Shapeshiftin' in a Microworld on a Flickering Torus by theOnlyGoodDrcz 2016-04-18T02:55:00

Cool game. Plays solid and responsively, and the puzzles are reasonably challenging without getting unfairly difficult.

I really loved the unique visuals, they added a ton of personality and uniqueness to the game, at first, but after about 5 minutes I had to stop.

Good job!

Save the Queen ! by psyxose 2016-04-21T00:02:00

Cute game! I really liked the graphics for the normal mode and run mode guy, though I ended up playing in jump mode mostly.

Good job!

Square Off - 1v1 Multiplayer by TeamScripta 2016-04-20T02:10:00

Wooo! Such a simple base concept, and yet the competitive strategies got quite deep! Much respect to whoever my worthy opponent was (Does it just always name your opponent "Jared" or was that really you?), and much more to your team for putting this together!

I'm hoping people keep joining over the next few days to play with :D

Shape Shuffle by BitDare 2016-04-22T02:27:00

Haha, I beat the boss, do some exploring, start falling off a cliff thinking I'm gonna die and then, "You beat the game"! :P

I liked how the different weapons affected your speed and jump height as well as your attacking, that was a nice touch of detail! My favorite was the hammer though :)

CLIQUE by iendsl 2016-04-22T02:02:00

Damn! No matter how classy my baggy raincoat and tailored pants were I couldn't impress the Lord Presidents!

Really interesting take on the theme, the whole idea of clothing defining you, and a high school was the perfect setting for that. Plus, the descriptive language was really detailed, and often hilarious.
