This could have been really fun, the basic mechanic was good and the graphics/control/audio were all ther, but it was waaaaay to hard. It looks like you had a mechanic where you ended up with multiple characters, but I never reached it.
Ridiculously difficult! I tried man, but I couldn't get more than one hit on that damn dragon. Why do my bullets travel so slow?? Why do I have to wait so long before I can fire again?? WHY?!?!?
Fact 1: I play tested this game way too much on my own.
Fact 2: I didn't get anyone other than me to play test it.
Fact 3: The bullet fire code I wrote was lazily done, causing them to have different speeds depending on how far you aimed.
Fact 4: I never stated the fact in-game that the dragon has an impenetrable shield when you have 0 allies.
Fact 5: The secret exit for getting allies needed to be more accessible.
Final Conclusion: My game requires more kittens.
lol, well that's one game I won't be able to beat.
Excellent idea, a few movement bugs (around the edges), nice controls and stuff. Cruelly terrible balancing.
I got (once) four of the little helper people. One hit death is simply too difficult to make the game fun for long. But other than that great. (4/5 overall)

Pretty hard until I learned a few tricks.
Once I got it, not a whole lot of gameplay. But it was still pretty fun and it was a good idea.
I liked your dragon art and the other little characters.

Waaaaay to difficult; other than that: quality graphics, good sound effects. Some epic music would give the game more mood, but I can't expect that from an LD game. Good entry!
