LD27 — 10 Seconds

Escape From Homeshank by ColdBrain 2013-08-31T06:48:00

Great art. Good concept, although I found it difficult to get very far due to close proximity of obstacles. Can they regenerate their timing when not being used? Characters are a bit morbid but original.

10 Seconds to die by 1WeekEndStudio 2013-08-31T07:02:00

cant play in web

The Ten Seconds by Piat 2013-08-31T05:59:00

Thanks for the comments, unfortunately some family commitments and loss of my collaborator for the project meant it ended up far from complete.

LD28 — You Only Get One

VOXELTRONIC by mungoman1 2013-12-16T05:49:00

Great looking game, nice jamming sounds, gets those controls tighter (and a bit clearer) and this could be great.

Binary War by Jogy34 2013-12-16T04:26:00

Had to play this from the name, was hoping for cyberpunk goodness, but a interesting take on the theme. The music and sfx can get a little repetitive and the colours are a little blinding. just sitting in one row made it easy to game the system.

Monster Interceptor by ehtd 2013-12-16T06:06:00

Could not get the game to go past the planet select screen :s I really wanna give this a shot. But from what I see, it looks great.

Monster Interceptor by ehtd 2013-12-16T06:58:00

Ah, see I was trying to click the planet marked "here". Great game, interesting concept.

PixelSurgeon by ponk 2013-12-16T04:46:00

looks like a good start.

One Shot by zzzev 2013-12-16T05:25:00

Wow, great execution, the style is really clean and the audio goes really well. Game play was really nice, though probably needs more challenge, I kinda bombed out on purpose to see what happened, not sure what I could have got too. 415k+ score, btw.

Life: The Cynical-Hipster-Tetris Version by Tim Kaldor 2013-12-18T12:29:00

Most certainly the best attempt at a deep game I've seen this jam. Great work, I will say the "create block" felt a bit redundant though.

Charon by jerombd 2014-01-04T08:09:00

Dem graphics, fantastic blend of classic aesthetics mixed with modern fluid animation. Interesting concept, could definitely go further with its style.

Charon by jerombd 2014-01-04T08:12:00

After playing the new version, I personally enjoyed the original colour pallet and some of the lack of detail. The addition of the gates giving the player a better understanding on whats going on was a welcome addition.

FowL Play by Sakuyan 2013-12-16T04:16:00

That's a challenge. Love the art style and controls feel really tight. The shooting pods are probably not as obvious as they could be, hard to spot+kill+guide a jump all at the same time.

Stop the Clock by sknoslo 2013-12-16T04:10:00

Objective is a bit hard to grasp to start with, and then a bit only winded to complete. The platforming was enjoyable, reminded me of Commander Keen, but having to back track for every piece just was gonna happen. Possibly should of entered warps at the end of each path to keep the pace up.

ClockTower by fued 2013-12-16T22:40:00

Great lighting and mood, fun effort, pity about not getting to finish.

The Colosseum by CryoGenesis 2013-12-17T23:24:00

Very fun little game, good mechanic that could be refined to be great. I would recommend making hits more apparent, its not obvious if the players attacks are doing damage. Good opportunity for multiplayer i think.

YOGO PATH by cesisco 2013-12-19T12:06:00

Great entry, very polished all round.

VisiOne by ThatGuy 2013-12-17T02:22:00

Really interesting mechanics, and well executed.

Leap of Faith by Ysty 2013-12-17T02:30:00

Great effort, interesting mechanic that definitely has potential. Movement was a little touchy to get used to but after that I had a good amount of fun.

Shadow Night by ParaPup 2013-12-16T06:40:00

A nice start, and good work for early solo game dev work. Nice atmosphere building there. Got caught in a dead and being bounced all over the room like a pinball lol.

COR by ENDESGA 2013-12-16T05:46:00

A really lovely game. Great work on the art, audio and story. Really sets up the mood.

Spee the Sperm by Nazariglez 2013-12-17T22:32:00

Very nice visuals but unfortunately it was incredibly difficult to control. I think if you work on a more traditional control scheme you'd open this up to a wider audience.

The Creep (You only get one Night) by Mekuri 2013-12-17T22:12:00

A good start, the audio and visuals really made the mood. Fell off the world on my first attempt, perhaps a little too dark to be able to figure out what you are meant to do. The mouse issue is because you didn't get unity to grab the mouse and the mouse look is much slower than mouse movement, which is a little disorientating.

PLANET HEALTH by kunzbe 2013-12-16T06:01:00

Interesting graphics style, game play was kind of over before I knew what was going on. Audio wasn't working unfortunately

C.R.A.T.E by CustomPhase 2013-12-16T07:55:00

Great style and use of sound. Mechanic works cleanly, but when attacking enemies it is a little unclear if you are actually killing them.

Final Order by Fervir 2013-12-17T23:11:00

A great foundation for a beat em up games.

TankoKitty by JohnnySix 2013-12-22T22:19:00

Great art and music, interesting mechanics, very fun.

0RBITALIS by AlanZucconi 2013-12-16T06:45:00

Ah, is there ever anything as fun as gravity. Amazing polish and great fun.

STAR BATTER by CTATZ 2013-12-16T03:37:00

Really like the art work and a very interesting setting. Controls were a little fiddly, and pretty difficult to get used to, but still had some fun. Being able to destroy objects wasn't really all that clear, probably needed a nice big straight away to make sure people "get it" the first time.

The One Ship by tiffi 2013-12-16T05:58:00

Nice engaging little game. Pity the bots suffered from 3 stooges syndrome. Very nice lighting effects. Great work.

Cup's Quest by duskpn 2013-12-17T22:07:00

A fantastic start, a neat idea, would love to see more.

Redemption by SilentBunny 2013-12-16T05:02:00

Man that is hard, great work for 48hours. Love the graphics, pity the BG isnt in the same style. It can get a little buggy in the smaller gaps. Too hard for me.

One Legged Jonny by ChuiGum 2013-12-17T22:47:00

Interesting idea, great art. Getting over those spikes was seemingly impossible without the jetpack so probably should just give that to the player straight up.

Free Sample Sim by Jack Zackowitz 2013-12-16T06:17:00

Haha got a genuine laugh when I got fired, great use of theme.

You Only Get 1UP by Thein 2013-12-16T05:07:00

Looks great, incredibly difficult, and a little unfair at time. But it still got a few play throughs out of me, so must of been doing something right.

Asshole Ducks by thatwhichis 2013-12-29T08:29:00

interesting to say the least, asshole ducks keep getting at my food, assholes.

One Duck by Stratovarius 2013-12-17T22:38:00

Great visuals and like the Pokeducks idea, execution was a little unclear in the end, but a great start.

Wishing Well by denvil 2013-12-16T07:36:00

Wow, amazing, and really very fun. The difficulty might be a little high at the start (a few less blocks so people can get a feel) and the parallax with the zooming in and out got me a little dizzy but after that, so good. Bravo.

Leap of Faith by Lustdante 2013-12-16T06:33:00

Game play was a little rough (being able to climb off the screen confused the heck out of me). Art style was great as was the music. Lots of potential.

Monad by Piat 2013-12-17T01:44:00

@zconnelly13 not sure what would have caused that, game developed and tested on win7 64bit machine, have not been able to reproduce.

Monad by Piat 2013-12-18T22:58:00

@Dikkop - unfortunately the win conditions got pushed out of time due to prioritising the tutorial and some niggling bugs

Hidden Prison by javifugitivo 2013-12-17T22:26:00

Nice entry, great idea and visuals. Would have to agree the pacing is a little slow, character switch a bit more like Trine would have kept game play moving a bit smoother.

YOGO Cubes by Tym0r 2013-12-16T04:01:00

Looks really interesting, im guessing like Glacon a bit, unfortunately, I have no idea how to control it! A short description of controls would be great. Unrated, hope to come back to this one.

Give Me A Hand by Sink 2013-12-16T04:22:00

Smashing graphics, actually enjoyed the music, but could of been a bit longer to cut down on the repetitiveness. Your normal enemies had a slight weakness that they were a bit short sighted, made it easy to snipe them. Solid game play, great work

One Touch Of Music by KumoKairo 2013-12-17T23:39:00

Very nice little game, well done.

BlockDodger by Jishenaz 2013-12-17T22:51:00

Game starts with game over and the blocks fly past in the blink of an eye. Still a little buggy I think.

Monogon by Rscar 2013-12-16T04:05:00

Great art style, interesting and challenging game play. The spikes could be more visible, was a little confused the first time i died. Shame about the music.

Cure the infected! by archaeometrician 2013-12-16T06:50:00

Interesting concept and a great start, unity's collisions do hamper the situation a bit. Perhaps a more spread out crowd over a larger area would be better.

1Ball by Daniel X. Moore 2013-12-29T08:15:00

neat little game, getting some of the trickier levels working very satisfying. would work well on mobile. Have added Linux version of my game if you want to check it out

Bowerbird Quest by mcapraro 2013-12-16T07:08:00

Great style, interesting take on a memory puzzle game. I didn't read the right order bit too haha. Would really come alive with some SFX.

soulmate by syl 2013-12-16T05:21:00

A great start. Pity you didn't get in some sort of final boss. But tighten up the controls and there is the start of a solid platformer.

Isles of Solara by ashen 2013-12-16T07:31:00

Very nice little game, very ambitious thats for sure. Has great potential.

The hunter by MrTedders 2013-12-16T06:10:00

Very stylish and a awesome unique concept. Well executed but the monster's hit box may be a little small, 4 attempts and no hits when it seemed dead on :(. Also one other little thing, he attacks you even if he hears the spear the other side of the room lol.

One For All & All For One by BlazingFanfish 2013-12-17T23:32:00

Interesting concept, if a little confusing, some great sprites and a good effort.

Unibrow by ViliX64 2013-12-16T05:34:00

Nice implementation of perspective changing. Got to some jumping puzzles that were just a little too frustrating to go on with. A great start to something that could be taken much further.

Magnet Chan by jillytot 2013-12-16T06:28:00

Short but sweet, great start to what could be an interesting puzzle game. Cute too

Earth by george_prosser 2013-12-16T03:53:00

I think I did more damage to earth than anything else to start with. Very nice graphics, fun little Asteroids-like. Those asteroids can be extremely hard to see on occasion. Also probably worth it to note that its mouse aim and shoot.

Just. One. Second. by kbake 2013-12-16T04:48:00

missing MSVCP110D.dll to play your game

You Only Get One: TOWER DEFENSE by tklovert 2013-12-16T04:41:00

Great take on the theme and a nice idea for game play. The game itself ended up being a little repetitive in the end. Nice work though.

Who's the Worst Person in the World? by whiteknife 2013-12-16T03:57:00

Somebody watched "The Box" recently lol. Interesting take, a fun little thing, more choice would certainly keep the pace up. Very well executed.

Dat Pig Yo! by Samsturai22 2013-12-16T03:43:00

Could no play for more than a few seconds before game over for (seemingly) no reason. There was a pig though, definitely a pig. Unrated because buggy.

The Black Lighthouse by funselektor 2013-12-16T06:24:00

Love the style and mood. Not really feeling the theme here. Kinda wish there was some consequence or trick that would drive me to keep going. Boat controls are nice.

Fort Meow by RhysD 2013-12-16T07:49:00

Very well executed for 48 hours, very polished. Great effort, I'd only say the direction could be divided a little better, all cats from one side is gonna get you sooner or later.

Yogo and the almighty mat thieves by kalth.streil 2013-12-17T22:19:00

very nice effort, the style is nice and its great you got in as much content as you did.

One Coffin by Dikkop 2013-12-17T23:01:00

Amazing art and audio, very solidly put together. Not a huge fan of the combat, way too difficult for my tastes, maybe if there were some easier zombies to get the hang of it.

Super Botboy Puzzle FPS by apwolf 2013-12-16T04:51:00

Windows link is Mac version.

Mr Potato by Warlaps 2013-12-17T22:34:00

Very nicely animated and the controls felt really good. Shame about the hit boxes on those knives, made it very hard.

Fighter-01 by Thalikoth 2013-12-17T22:28:00

Interesting execution, found it a little frustrating for my taste by still well executed.

Choose Wisely by zconnelly13 2013-12-16T07:20:00

Love the hand drawn style, interesting set up, some smart design. Given a choice who isn't going to pick a doge, such loyalty, much platforming, very game design, wow.

You Only Get Juan by doitle 2013-12-16T04:35:00

I also only get to a screen after character selection. Not sure if that is the joke or if its a bug. Unrated until confirmation/fix

The Vigilante: Single Shot Justice by MagnesiumNinja 2013-12-17T22:56:00

Very engaging visual novel, nice amount of polish. Keep it up.

Jump Chip by arkeus 2013-12-16T05:29:00

Dat asymmetrical game play. More than my mind can grasp. Amazing style and audio. Very clean for 48 hours.

Destroy The Core by StabAlarash 2013-12-17T02:57:00

Interesting concept, nice visuals, good execution. I found aiming to be my only real complaint as it was extremely difficult to hit the enemies with such a short time to aim.

Singularity by Cake_Catastrophe 2013-12-17T22:43:00

A solid foundation for a shmup, game play got a little tedious with such long levels with minimal enemy variance and visual changes but good start.

M'Lady and The Tramp by Pixelbear 2013-12-17T02:18:00

A dun little collection of games, some nice very nice mechanics, and gross in an amazing way. Unfortunately couldn't get any of the audio games to work.

Make it count! by Kettlecorn 2013-12-16T06:53:00

Like the arena battle style. Nice visuals, though a bit more of a cue on which one YOU are would go nicely. Great start, implement some ricochets and you're in business.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

CosmicCom: Connecting Worlds by deathray 2014-08-26T04:46:00

Played it for a long time, not sure why, but I had fun. I wish I didn't have to click so much, now I need to buy a new mouse. :P

Cohack by Exeneva 2014-08-26T04:50:00

Very very good concept. With some more levels, abilities, power ups and other things to make it more exciting; I would definitely play this game. I would love to see this game with a bit more polish.

Earth Defense Team 2492 by Toestee 2014-08-26T05:15:00

Sweet mechanic of making your swarm larger and smaller. I felt like it was best to stay small most of the time. I think a good addition would be if the enemies had some AOE damage, which you would take more damage from if you are smaller. I think that would give me more incentive keep changing sizes.

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-08-26T04:57:00

cool little version of pacman, it shows how much effort you put into it.

Saving Gray by TnT 2014-08-26T05:12:00

I wasn't sure about where to go, but I had fun messing with the mechanics.

Connected Caves by Birke 2014-08-26T12:06:00

Fun to explore, nice graphics :)

My First Public Meltdown by Piat 2014-08-26T22:20:00

Hi guys,

Thanks all for the awesome feedback. Unfortunately we have had super little time to address the tutorial since submitting yesterday and we are still working on how best to give a tutorial without flat out explaining the mechanics.

But for those who are interested I'll give a bit of an over view. @tschmitz is pretty close on most things.

Followers will increase or fall naturally over time. Each month you will lose money, this will double each month, starting at 20,40,80 etc, producing social media content is the only reliable way to get money (besides the perk).

Producing content will increase followers, earn income and increase stress. Stress will decay over time and if it reaches 100 it's game over. Having negative money will also increase stress (there is a bug where it increases each tick, this isn't meant to happen but right now negative money is almost guaranteed game over). Better content, accessed by buying computer up grades improve amount of followers, Income but more stress and take longer.

Parental loan gives a quick cash boost, Showman increases followers from content, grifter actually increases earning from content (but how much you can earn is capped so it only effective very early, this is not intended), beggar decreases how many followers you can lose from natural ticks, attention who're makes content complete faster by a few ticks, gamer and vapid increase the followers and income of some content (this suffers from the same bug as grifter).

Yes marketing does nothing. Pretty long winded explanation but hopefully it helps you guys who want to beat the game. Will hopefully have a more succinct how to play soon.

Connect teh Worlds by unitycoder_com 2014-08-26T11:41:00

Neat idea

Connected Worlds by Jacksack and JordanFitz by JordanFitz 2014-08-26T05:00:00

Fun, the face drawing really made this game stand out :)

Contraband by sprawl 2014-08-26T05:09:00

I liked it :), it reminded me of some old flash games, had a bunch of fun with it.

IsoWorlds by ob6160 2014-08-26T11:48:00

I wish there was a little bit more to it, but very good job on the engine.

Planetary Escape by peejaygee 2014-08-26T05:03:00

Fun, haha. Silly concept.

R-elink: A link between worlds by RaycoSantana 2014-08-26T05:07:00

Sweet concept, gave me a headache looking at that phone's screen, so I'm glad you are able to lower it.

Stanley Squeaks and the Emerald Burrito by Two Scoop Games 2014-08-26T05:16:00

Cute art :)

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-08-26T05:16:00

You're golden if you don't let anything through on the first screen. haha

Human and Alien by BoskoSokolov 2014-08-26T04:43:00

Good puzzles, if there was time for a little more polish it could be an awesome game.

Lenore: Dark Days Ahead by Team Luminous 2014-08-26T05:11:00

At first I wasn't sure about it. However I started to find it pretty engaging and I was enjoying myself with it... but then my rock got stuck and I couldn't pass the river :/

Planet Exploder by JoeEliTommy 2014-08-28T04:23:00

An interesting use of the theme and neat little space sim. The controls are a little fiddly but not too bad, a range indicator on the tools would of been very helpful.

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-08-26T04:56:00

Get graphics, but a bit frustrating.

Precipice by Canyon 2014-08-26T04:46:00

Simple concept, I used my second monitor to make giant snow balls that filled half the screen haha :D fun game.

Scribble Death by chrupp 2014-08-26T11:52:00

Cute entry, but too much trial and error. overall I liked it
