Loved it! The graphics and audio were great and I enjoyed collecting the blocks the enemies dropped (though I got too confident and died at wave 6!). Very well done!

Loved it! The graphics and audio were great and I enjoyed collecting the blocks the enemies dropped (though I got too confident and died at wave 6!). Very well done!
Very well done considering the time limit! It would've been nice to have a restart or something when you die (I died a lot!), but that's a minor thing. Good job!
I liked it a lot and that music was awesome!
I was only one off from having everything mastered, dang! I liked the tropical feel and the music was nice. Some more sound effects would've gone a long way (though the ones you have in there do the job) and adding more feedback when swimming up/down would've been helpful. Overall though it's a really good job, had me playing for a while!
Really cool idea! It took me a little bit to understand what was going on but I got it. Can get really crazy with another person playing!
Took me a bit to get what to do, I didn't realize I was actually attacking when I clicked my mouse because it looked like I was just raising my weapon a bit, but once I figured it out it went smoothly! I think adding some sound would go a long way with this, but it's pretty impressive you got it done in such a short amount of time.
Those lasers are tough!
I enjoyed it not only for the actual game itself but also for swinging around the hook! When I got to (what I assume to be) the end, I got a little carried away swinging my friend around and lost them, so I pressed 'G' to reset; unfortunately the game went grey and seemed to hold up, then closed. Despite that I still enjoyed it!
An interesting take on the theme! I enjoyed the humor and atmosphere, "dank and dirty" definitely describes it. I think I know now what it feels like to peel potatoes professionally.
Wow, nice graphics and audio! I really liked the shadow effects too, looked really slick. I was a little confused as to what I needed to do at first, but I got the hang of it after a little bit. Oh and I liked how you implemented your pictures as the paintings (well, I'm assuming they were your pictures!). Good job!
I made the mistake of turning on Ironman mode...I never made it home. Haha, nicely done!
Awesome idea! It was fun to play and had a good sense of humor. Really well done!
I really enjoyed the animations! The overall art style is really interesting too. You already mentioned the only thing that was iffy for me (the collision detection), but it wasn't a big deal. Well done!
Nothing happens after the red loading bar is done moving. I'm using IE10 (maybe the issue?).
Interesting idea, though in some ways it was a little frustrating constantly getting set back; I think I would've preferred it if, instead of X seconds passing and me getting set back, I only get set back on death. But you may have tried that and liked the current way better, regardless it was well made!
I enjoyed the graphics and audio a lot, and your use of the theme was funny! It took me a little while to understand what to do, but your gif helped a lot. I got to the third level but it stumped me!
It was pretty engaging and had a decent amount of content despite the time limit you were under! There was at least one line that repeated itself (though this may have been intentional and I didn't read it correctly!) and at one point I read a sentence that didn't go with the choice I made (but the rest of the page made sense). I would be interested to see more!
Hey I saw your comment on my game, is there a way I can contact you about the things I mentioned? Or is it ok to just post them here? I don't want to give away any spoilers.
Interesting take on the theme! I had a hard time understanding if my actions had any effect other than creeping "One" out (I did pretty good at that!). Not sure if you intended there to be a mood or not, but I definitely felt lonely trying to communicate only through clicking "Like", so that was cool!
I played this a lot longer than I anticipated! Formatting the numbers might have helped make things a little more clean, but it was pretty impressive considering the time limit. Good stuff!
I'm interested to see how this turns out after you're able to put more into it! I was totally confused playing it but it seems like you were able to get a lot done in such a short amount of time.
I enjoyed the humor in it a lot!
Clean and simple, I like it! And I'm not sure if it was supposed to be funny, but the idea of using a fire extinguisher to navigate around space it hilarious! Nicely done.
Fun use of the theme and interesting mechanics! I think if you polished it up a bit more it could be even more enjoyable. Good stuff!
Whew, nicely done! It was intense and freaky and I enjoyed it very much. The only things I noticed have already been mentioned by TheSoboy007 and phi6. Great game!
I enjoyed playing! It was a relaxing environment despite the difficulty. My only concern is that I would get stuck on the walls if I happened to be at a ledge or block as the color changed. It wasn't a big deal but it did slow me down. Overall though, great job!
This has probably made me think more than any other entry so far, well done. I really enjoyed how you did the rain, especially as it hits the ground or the umbrella. Also, I liked your take on the theme: it's left kind of open-ended. Obviously it takes place in a graveyard and could pertain to losing someone close to you, but I think it can also be applied to lots of situations like the death of an idea, some kind of failure, a part of your life, etc. Anyways, good job!
Really clean graphics and I liked the introduction! Also, the ending caught me off guard, nicely done!
Really enjoyable and great first entry!
Thanks for the feedback everyone; I've updated the files to attempt to address the issues!
@SnoringFrog, I just posted a comment on your game's page. Don't worry too hard about getting mine to run, there's nothing to it. Though you shouldn't be getting the MSVCP110D.dll error, did you download v1.0.1?
@MrTedders, what problems are you having? Is it coming up with a message or closing immediately? I'm on Windows 8 as well, but who knows, it could very well be.
To everyone else, I'm trying to figure out what the issue is and I apologize for it not working properly! If you don't have Visual Studio on your computer, something that might work is trying to download the Visual Studio redistributable here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679, but I'm just guessing! Thanks for your patience.
I wish it was...hmm, maybe "You only get one millisecond?" :P I'm still looking into it, but I've been trying to take time to check out other peoples' games too.
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I've been busy and unable to work on this.
@eemmbbeerr, what exactly was the issue you were having with the menu? I'm also on Windows 8, so I find it odd others have had a hard time running the game. It could be that I'm developing it on Windows 8 that's messing it up...not sure though.
@mmickyman, thanks for looking into it; I found the same information. I find it really odd that people are getting the debug dll when the newest version was built under the "Release" build (though the optimizations were turned off). The WAV thing was something I didn't even think about, what would a better option be? OGG?
@steamgirl, I had a lot of ideas for possible additions to make it tougher/crazier, but most of the first day was spent away from the computer and I didn't have enough time to implement them. I'll be working on it and adding fun new things to it soon, so thanks for the idea!
Very cool idea for the theme! I do agree with the other comments that once you get an idea of the timing, you don't really need to move anymore and just end up focusing on clicking.
I feel classier after playing! I enjoyed reading the insults as well, good show!
Pretty intense, let's just say I didn't get very far! The loop could've been a little tighter: it was a bit jarring to see the obstacles jump around like they did. Add some crazy music and this will be even more intense!
I have never typed "finalboss" so fast in my life! Very fun and challenging, my only suggestion would've been to randomize the letters but that would make this nearly impossible! Well done!
My life was a short one, but I enjoyed the art and floating around as a ghost! I didn't see anyone else running through it but I think that's a really cool feature!
Unept said it and I can't think of a better word: sobering. Well done!
Nice! I liked the graphics and how the enemies would spawn, it looked really cool. The sound effects were nice too, though the music felt a bit repetitive after a little while. Those pillows are jerks! :P
Got pretty tricky! Nicely done!
Oh those poor villagers, they didn't realize I would be using them as a distraction! Haha, nicely done!
I'm also getting a gray screen. It turns to black once I click the spacebar.
Loved the implementation of the theme! Man that level where you had to jump side to side got me!
I was looking forward to where this was going, the bit there is promising!
It was fun! I can only imagine how much more fun it'd be with audio :(. I loved the space graphics and the names of your source code directories! The only thing besides audio would be if I could just hold down spacebar instead of press it for every shot (only because I'm lazy!). Great job!
Really nicely done, especially for such a short amount of time! I enjoyed the art style and all the different animations. The different effects stood out to me too, like when you start a new game and all the text comes in, it just looks nice. Well done!
I'm not very familiar with roguelikes or ascii art but I found it accessible and I enjoyed it. I liked your take on the theme!
