There fixed, sorry folks no web build, can get it to work, will port it later...
cant*
Thanks all for the comments, I fixed the web build so now you dont need to download to play!
@Custard Games: you can also use CTR to attack, I just thought the classic WASD + mouse was more confortable than using the arrows plus CTR and Space. Also Joypads are compatible too.
@Loneshark: Hey thanks for playing! yes there is a bug on the graphics on level 3 and the projectiles are invisible, the game is not much longer is 3 levels long and a boss (which is pretty stupid, is just a face on a wall that shoots projectiles) didn't had time for more, however fear not because I'm actually remaking the game with more levels and better graphics!
@borrismoose I used an online generator called abundant-music.com then I used FL studio to convert the midi into MP3s as Unity doesn't like midis.
Pretty cool, loved the art.
Really cool, Love those minimalistic graphics
Cool game, I quite liked the graphics!
Took me a while to figure it out but after that it was great, good job!
Pretty cool game, had a lot fun with it :D
This is pretty cool, I liked it, a little bit too difficult but is a good game.
great game, I like the art.
Liked the concept a lot, the game was too hard but is a really good game!
Pretty good platformer
wow quite nice game and the art is wonderful!
Quite good for a first time entry, definitely better than my first Ludum dare entry.
I quite liked this one
Loved this one, so much fun!
+points for towels
nice game, had quite some fun. And the idea is interesting
Wow, loved this one! really cool!
Simple and great fun!
Nice game, I had fun.
Thanks all for the feedback! Im actually thinking in making a full game, I had a blast making it and it was a lot easier than my last's LD48 entry.
@Lashiz121: if you press the right mouse button you can hide the R-elink (the phone) I did this because there are time where you need to see the whole screen (EX:while jumping ) if you press right mouse again you can make the R-elink show again.
Wow thank you guys!
I'm overwhelmed by so much positive feedback, seriously THANK YOU!.
Due to the high number of people asking me to make a full game I will try to make this into a full, already created the game's page on IndieDB.com so you people can follow it, the page is awaiting approval as soon as that happens I will post it here!
@Almax27 & everyone feeling dizzy with the viewport: I actually fixed it, now the phone view aligns with the camera view, but obviously I cant upload that version here since is against the rules but I will upload a post compo version with heavily updated graphics and the view corrected.
I made an indieDB page for the game so you can check when the new version is ready:
http://www.indiedb.com/games/r-elink-a-link-between-worlds
Thanks guys for the feedback!
@hb3p8: You need to teleport the small round blocks to make a stair case
@Majko: Thanks for the feedback, I know the music its not the best but I didn't had time for more, if you think the graphics are poor you should check out the post compo version I'm making, its a lot better visually (objects actually have textures on them lol),also the phone screen align with the screen so it doesn't hurt your eyes anymore (although is lest realistic it makes for better gameplay), also I will include real music instead of that random generated music.
CaptainNakou: I can tell you here, its pretty simple, its a camera that renders to a texture, then the screen of the phone has a material that uses that texture.
@spolsh Oh that isn't supposed to happen is supposed to be always on, if you are playing the web build refresh the page, if that doesn't work then it may be that your graphic card its not compatible with some of the screen effects
@mihaivdev: Actually I didn't even knew that game existed, but the idea is pretty similar.
Actually at first I had a different idea that didn't involved puzzles at all, the idea was that you where in this super grey depressing office environment but if you looked through the windows you could this vivid brightly colored world so your goal was to complete dull work task to try to get to the brightly colored world but then I thought that would take too much work for only two days so instead I remembered that unity had this ability to render a camera output into a texture and the game Portal came to my mind. And that's how the idea was born
really nice for a first time entry.
Really nice, I quite liked the graphics remind me of the old RPGs I used to play when I was a child :D
really good, also worms are awesome there should be more character with worms as main characters!
wow I quite like the art style and the gameplay is pretty good too
I had a blast playing this.
Love the art style!
Pretty good, the text seemed a little slow to me but the game was quite good!.
Ultra hard but I like that, good job! :D
I like the pixel art, game is pretty good too! good job!
Interesting, the graphics are bit weird but is a good game, good job!
Loved this one, I quite like puzzle games and this was really good also the graphics fit perfectly for the style of game, good job!
I quite liked this one, good job!
Hey your concept is similar to mine, but mine is with the video camera of a cell phone, nice hehe :D
great game, love the graphics! :D
@seledorn: I have no clue what are you talking about, if you are talking about holding the fire button for shooting, that was intentional and is regulated with a delay, in fact is expected that you hold the button all the time to shot (is in the description). When you get the machine gun power up the delay is shorter so it looks like you are shooting a machine gun but its temporal, it last like 10 seconds.
Thanks all for the comments, the way the Tank moves is intentional, what was not intentional was the turret rotation I wanted it to work with both X and Y axis like old school top down shooters but I couldnt get it to work :( , thats why its a little confusing, the turret should rotate towards the mouse coordinates, I will try to fix it in a post compo edition.
Love the art!
