LD28 — You Only Get One

LunchLadySimulator2000 by fysx 2013-12-16T14:54:00

Good game, but I think you have to move the mouse too far across to slap a student (diagonal slapping was slightly better)
I didn't like that sneaky students that I already gave a cookie to count as hungry students when they go offscreen.
I think the game should allow you to just avoid the sneaky arms that already got a cookie as a viable play style, and the slaps should just be for bonus points.

Hrytz's Sunday by ezolotko 2013-12-16T14:39:00

My antivirus is giving me a (false?) positive and automatically deletes the .exe

The Colosseum by CryoGenesis 2013-12-16T17:13:00

Doesn't stick to the theme much, but has very addictive (and violent :^y) gameplay

YOGO RocketFist by _Rilem 2013-12-16T22:35:00

Amazing graphics, amazing music, amazing gameplay.

This game is totally amazing.

Corodor of Broken Glass by wallmasterr 2013-12-16T12:33:00

Very nice 3d graphics, but you should have tried to have the footsteps loop correctly
And maybe not have blood, since the danger is obvious

'Hard' mode was fun :p

Kickin' Some Monster Butt by greenio3 2013-12-16T11:54:00

The name input took me a couple of seconds to figure out
Killed 16 monsters, survived 71 seconds
"Strategy" I thought of: Have the monsters follow you to one edge, reappear on the other one, so the monsters turn around to face you in a nice queue for you to shoot away (repeat)

Only one Cookie by Linus Lindberg 2013-12-16T12:02:00

Graphics are very good and concept is clever, but you should have chosen better music :/

One Life to Lose by valgriz 2013-12-16T11:45:00

I could still shoot when I had no ammo: a bullet would fire in a set direction.
My score was 24, and then the zombies just stopped appearing :/ Guess I won :p

Colorblind by Bernhard 2013-12-16T12:54:00

Very good everything! I just don't see the theme...

The 9th Life by adcrusher 2013-12-16T19:24:00

Nice gameplay, but you should have the attack controls on the title screen :y (1st playthru I was panicking defenselessly)

Mad props for pumping out so much good pixelart/animation in such short time :^)

One Night at the Space Opera by davekalina 2013-12-16T17:53:00

Is the Emperor never pleased?

Incredible graphics, sound and mood.

One Bullet, One Chance by YellowLime 2013-12-16T13:21:00

@Gravedrinker thanks a bunch! Now I gotta go play yours ;^)
I did intend that sometimes a shot wouldn't kill the enemy, and I guess it can be a bit offputting, but I needed to up the difficulty without adding more enemies :p

@stephan_h I knew of both bugs, the latter one always happens
The talking bug I've also had, but don't know the exact repro conditions... I know that it doesn't happen if you wait patiently for the text :p

@Linus Lindberg Sorry! :o The program I used (Construct 2) made the ports automatically, so maybe they have it buggy... I would have added a Web version but couldn't figure out the hosting.

One Bullet, One Chance by YellowLime 2013-12-16T17:57:00

stephan_h: the mixing of both kinds of enemies on the last battle was on purpose, for variety. But maybe it lessens the seriousness of it...

Daniel X. Moore, GravityScore: I'll upload a Web version when/if I figure out how to do it :p

Club Man by Lancelot Gao 2013-12-16T18:46:00

One of the best I've played so far! Excels in every field :^)

Love those lowpoly 3d models

Thrust Issues by Gravedrinker 2013-12-16T13:53:00

Great game! Good, big, hand-drawn art, and very fun gameplay.
I also like that it doesn't have audio(yet?), in my opinion it gives a lot of class to a game :o)
It also has a lot of content! Took me 10-20 min to beat (didn't time :p).

In my experience, once you lift off you either do very good or very badly (I guess its because the thruster isn't powerful enough to break a fall)

When I land upside-down I keep thinking I can flip over again by timing the thrusts :p, while in reality it's the only situation in which you need the restart button.

Thank goodness you can land upside-down in the landing zone and it counts :^)

The Last Promise by Team-KwaKwa 2013-12-16T20:30:00

The skylines and backgrounds are very good, and the animation is okay but could be a bit better (especially walking)

As should be expected of having 3 artists on board, the graphics are gorgeous, setting a very nice mood.

Someone's F***ing Hitler by biscuitdough 2013-12-16T15:52:00

Hilarious

One Take by Sheepolution 2013-12-16T19:35:00

Amazing game! Fun, funny, good-looking and well-executed theme.

You actually got to add two more scenes, that was fast :y

One World by supremefist 2013-12-17T12:33:00

Nice music, felt Christmassy to me. Very funny game, played it through ridiculing all continents :p

PUSH by Patacorow 2013-12-17T12:54:00

Catchy music, cool mechanics, slick particle effects and cute animations (I love every time the idol falls down the hole :y)

Very good game overall!

Monocraft by MaTX 2013-12-17T12:37:00

The contrast between the exciting music (fitting lyrics) and the gameplay is very funny :^y

This world is broken by toaster 2013-12-16T19:50:00

Simple game with cool, moody graphics. Nice :)

LD33 — You are the Monster

I Am the Baby <3 by euske 2015-08-24T02:52:00

Scared the **** out of me when I figured out how to start the game. Fitting music, although it doesn't loop perfectly (nitpick). Great length and complexity for a Ludum Dare game.

Ugly Turtle by HacksawUnit 2015-08-24T02:43:00

Nice pixel art! The game itself is ok, but the music didn't play for me.

Out the Window by YellowLime 2015-08-24T03:54:00

@MetoolDaddy, you're entitled to your own opinion, although it really is kind of a stretch. Thanks for trying it out.

@VampyVampire, you're too kind :) I thought about trying to making it presentable (music, graphics) for the jam, but I'm spent.

Out the Window by YellowLime 2015-08-29T14:28:00

Ybalrid, Graham Weldon: thanks for trying it out and also for your kind comments.

The objective is to click on the monster that doesn't move, before time runs out. The presentation is very lacking so it's understandable that you didn't know what to do.

You're supposed to be picking out monsters that you see from out your window. At the end it's revealed that you are the biggest monster, since you were actually sniping the monsters, so this basic little game actually does follow the theme, if not at first glance :p

Thanks again!

Scare them... But don't get caught! by Ybalrid 2015-08-24T03:10:00

Modeling, texturing, rigging, animating... and coding too! Amazing for only 2 days of work.

Curtain Call by rogual 2015-08-24T03:03:00

Great entry, nice in all aspects, especially innovation. Music was also nice. I'm curious to whether it was computer-generated, but anyway, great job!

Monster Academy by feiss 2015-08-29T15:02:00

Amazing; it looks and sounds good, and it all clicks nicely. 108 out of 200.

LD46 — Keep it alive

GhostVac by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2020-04-25T16:23:33Z

Pretty fun, great 3d renders (didn't know Construct 2 did 3d) and concept.

The suction sound is a bit noisy which is 100% how it would be IRL.

I made it to the "boss" but didn't beat it. Also I ran into a bug where the Z key stops working... I clicked for focus and it still didn't work :scream:

Big arcade mood, wish I could go to an arcade and play this for real

Omiga Daycare by Wheffle 2020-04-25T17:47:16Z

Good idea and execution! The gameplay was good too, but it was too easy for too long before it became utter chaos  Great punchy music, it's the thing that kept my attention before the gameplay became demanding. And cute 1-bit tamagotchis and sounds as well

Egg Rescue by JesterSeraph 2020-04-25T11:23:25Z

The chunky particles are nice and colorful, although they're a bit low-rez for the rest of the graphics. I would change them to smaller circles or stars instead of chunky squares. Good job on the graphics BTW, good 3d renders and tiling. I wonder what software did you use for those.

The music is decently good, I'm guessing you used Bosca Ceoil for it? It has a lo-fi vibe that goes up alongside the number of enemies

The game seems to be a bit too hard... I resorted to cheesing it by keeping to the left of the screen in hopes the bullets would de-spawn (which I think was unsuccessful, so good job there as well :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) I only managed to get past the first "big" enemy before failing my egg again. Maybe some tips in the death screen would help players get better as well.

I like the small cinematic at the very beginning, where the egg finds you. Good little detail

Keep It Alive by William Carlisle 2020-04-25T17:10:17Z

The arrow keys + mouse is a bad combo, consider adding WASD control as well. Sword could be swung with Space also. Some music and sounds could bring some more life to this, especially since it's an action game. Consider adding text or dialogue within the game to better explain the gameplay. Good job and keep it up

Final Interrogation by Gamer Fates 2020-04-25T16:45:48Z

Good game, but while almost all of the text is correctly written, some parts have some capitalization errors ("i" instead of "I"). The text tends to be a bit crammed as well.

The music is pretty fitting and moody.

I wasn't very good at finding the abductor though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Unsplashed by yxmx_rsx 2020-04-25T16:58:36Z

The instructions at the beginning were a bit too much text :book:, that could have been improved by small tutorial levels. Also the penalty for dying could have been restarting the level. I didn't notice an increase in difficulty, maybe because the levels were auto-generated? My best score was 90 (I think, because the Game Over screen hides the score). Good puzzle concept. Also, cute graphics :v:

Levain - My needy friend by Karas 2020-04-25T17:23:43Z

Fun music and very well done models and animations. It was a bit disorienting at first and I didn't know how to heal Levain but in the end I figured I had to give him some bread and water. I never ran out of money so it felt a bit unnecessary, but I guess it would be big trouble if none was left. I managed to make two breads before Grandpa came home

Message by NoamRaz 2020-05-03T00:29:40Z

Died several times but I got it in the end. The boss was hard at first but then I took advantage of the constant enemy spawn rate. The character feels slippery (but I know this is hard to overcome in Unity, I'm making a platformer too  ). I liked the boss and that it was voiced. The music and effects were a bit loud for me though.

Miracle by Maroon_goof 2020-04-23T13:07:49Z

i saved the girl, but looking at the screenshots I may have missed half of the game 😆

very nice! I think my mouse has drift :joy:

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Secret of the PeaDucks by Iak 2018-04-30T08:22:55Z

I love exploration-based 3d platformers so I had fun with this game. I have the same complaints as the others with the red room: too hard! I kept playing only because I read your comment here that the red room is optional. Some gamepad support would have been nice; moving can be done but not jumping or moving the camera. Good ambient music. Great level design (aside from difficulty). Very good for a first 3D Unity game in 2-3 days.

danmaku economics by yellowlime 2018-04-30T07:32:47Z

Thanks everyone and sorry for the inconvenience, the page is now public  .

Chord Run by saturn007 2018-04-30T11:26:54Z

Interesting and good execution on the gameplay. A couple gripes: The 4th note on some levels gives an unpleasant spike in my audio. The other problem is that I feel the jump is a bit too tight, especially at the slow speeds of the first levels. It was a great choice to allow immediate respawns and seamless checkpoints, the 1-4 keys are a simple and comfortable control scheme, and it's very peaceful to play the piano while avoiding obstacles. Great job :ok_hand:
