Interesting game but I found it difficult to actually make out who the killer was from their stories. Different investigation stages would've been nice.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Final Interrogation

A cool concept, well done! :)
game is nicely put together. its a bit slow paced ( not my genre) style of game so i didn't finished it. But from the start it looks like you are leading the player in a predefined task instead of us choosing who to question etc.
Really nice game, great music and art. Nice way to sneak LD46 on the brick wall! I guessed straight away the culprit :D . The explanations were really well though out. My only problem was that the left arrow and right arrow were really hard to see (when selecting who to question). Initially I though I can only question the nurse. Thank you for the experience.
I love the concept of detective games and I wish I'd thought of a ransom situation for my own, it's a very good twist on the theme.
@zeppelingames @tad @vivek-sharma20 @zerohbeat @shaolin-dave Thanks for playing!
Really cool game! I really like the concept, the art and music of it. Great job!
I guessed the wrong culprit the first time ... fun game :)
Nice entry, it has a nice resting mood but need a little bit of focus to read and check the inconsistency in the suspects answers. That's a pleasant effort you made to created a little cutscene at the beginning and at the end. i had fun, and the music is really good :v:
Really interesting approach to a jam, writting an intrincate story. I liked the mechanics and the audio, but i think the graphics could be a bit more polite to match the quality of the other game aspects. That said, it's an nice entry.
Good job!
I love the interrogation part but i feel there was a lot of text which kinda make me want to skip.
Loved the criminal case style! also zoom in and zoom out with the mouse is awesome! Greato Jobu!
I liked all the transitions between interrogations, as well as the art style. There was a bit too much reading to get started in the game I felt like, but that's likely just my personal taste. Well done!
the intro scene looks awesome and the music really make this game alive.. good job on making this
Interesting idea. I think it would be great to have the selection of suspects at the beginning rather than displaying one suspect. It was a bit confusing for me since I thought I could only ask one person.
Loved the beginning cutscene and graphics style! Very unique game, one of the most original I've rated so far! Keep up the great work!
Well, that was... different... hehe Boy there was a lot of text there, huh? I found myself a little lost in the lack of structure, since all the text is in a single paragraph to fit the screen. The questions was to short for the amount of information that the suspects answer, so I was just wild guessing after every answer. The music only starts playing in the middle of the game, and of course the main menu was quite simple to enable/disable sound. Overrall it was a different experience, but it did not grab my attention enough to consume all this text.
Love this take on the theme. I always enjoy the chance to try out games that are a bit more laid back, too.
One thing: on the web build (on Chrome) scrolling to zoom in and scrolled out also scrolled the browser window. I find Chrome is often a pain with web games in ways like that! I switched to the Windows version and it worked great.
This is a nice change of pace from other games. For a game like this the writing is very important. On one hand, since the text is everything, there's a lot of typos and grammar mistakes that can be distracting as you are trying to read the information. On the other hand, the game was well-written in terms of what information you give to the players. I wasn't 100% sure who did it, but I got enough from the questioning to make the correct decision. So I think you struck a good line between holding back information and spilling everything out. So it wasn't too easy, but it also wasn't impossible if you focus on the details. Good job!
Really like your approach and theme! Interface worked well, graphics were clean, and the initial scrolling cutscene was a very nice touch. I'd have to say that adding paragraph breaks into the text would really enhance the readability, particularly in the initial background checks.
Overall, really solid work from start to end, and great music, too!
Nice game. Tho the camera zoom thing wasn't that proper  I found it hard to guess the culprit Im not good at these types of games xD. How do we know its the guy? Game can be improved, but good for a compo game
cool idea!
I really liked the concept, and the art, animations, music, and UI were all really well done. For a narrative-based game, I would have liked a more cohesive story. None of the witness' statements matched up, and there didn't seem to be any way to tell who was telling the truth. I guessed incorrectly on my first playthrough, so on the second I skipped questioning them and just guessed for my other pick and got it correct, winning the game.
If you decide to expand on this idea, I would recommend requiring the player to uncover specific pieces of information before they can correctly guess. If they attempt to guess too soon, they could get an ending letting them know that they did not have enough evidence to convict anyone. The other thing I felt was missing was the ability to cross-examine witnesses. Once I've learned that Witness A knows Witness B, I want to get a new dialog option when speaking to B so I can ask them about that connection.
All things said, a great idea, and very nicely presented =)
Nice idea for the theme! Impressive that you took the time to write a backgroundstory and dialogues in the short time :)
ldjampic.png That was fun. I got to say I glad I figured it out in my first go. I feel you put enough information into your game to make it more then just a guess. Other then a few typos (I'm guilt as well) great writing and story telling for such a short game. Good job!

Hello everyone!! Thanks for checking my game out and providing feedback! Truly appreciate it.
That being said, I will be updating the game and release a version 1.3 which will fix the dialog, some bugs here and there and also remove the zoom in-out feature as it was intended just for dev purposes.
Thanks again for playing and continue providing feedback! Enjoy reading every comment!!
That was super nice. Gave my a feeling of good old Ace Attorney series. Would love it to be longer, cause i was just getting into the story and expected to learn some plot twists hard way. But i know it's compo and time was running out not only for the detective/victim :D I liked how you managed to make a nice art for the cases and intro animation. Writing was very very cool.
On the beginning though i didn't quite get the fact that with arrow i can change person (thought it would mean going to next scene).
Cool game! Definitely a concept I enjoyed! I felt like the questions available to ask were all quite... bland. I feel like I would have wanted to ask some meatier questions than "who do you work for". I did guess the culprit correctly on my first try, but it was honestly an educated guess. I'm not sure I had enough clues to actually work with.
Pretty neat, I like the visuals and audio, fit nicely together.
Loved the game!! I think the construction worker gave the game away after saying that he found the lawyer at the crime scene. Although Bettsy's fingerprints did confuse me. Although very nice audio and graphic. The game should be able to be played in full screen although. Other than that its a really well polished game!!
Good game, but while almost all of the text is correctly written, some parts have some capitalization errors ("i" instead of "I"). The text tends to be a bit crammed as well.
The music is pretty fitting and moody.
I wasn't very good at finding the abductor though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
Nice game. It's a really cool mystery, and the music fits it well. Good job.
Interesting concept, although the connection to the theme is pretty weak at best. If you had more time to develop this then I could see it being a pretty good game! Maybe if you fail to guess correctly the first time, more suspects appear and the plot twists even further. For 48 hours, though, nice job!
That was a really interesting game. I really liked the concept and had fun playing it. The graphics very nice and the music was really good. It would have been cool to have more soundeffects though. The story was very good and I felt very involved once I was in the interrogation phase. I maybe would have wished for some more questions, since "who are you?" could have been read in the texts about the persons as far as I know. I was very surprised that I actually got it right and felt really good about it. Thank you for this beautiful experience. The only time I found this game boring was while reading all the introduction texts and descriptions of the people. I would love to see a more complex game because that was really good.
It was a nice short and fun detective game I would love to see expanded on. I do wish there were more questions unlocked when you ask one, but overall good job!
Fun game!
Great compo entry, loved the mood and all the nice little touches that gave it life.
A short but fun game. I found it a bit guessing rather than coming to a logical conclusion. Story telling and writing is good. Information about 3 victims on the same page maybe overwhelming for some people. Overall a fun game. Good luck!
I like the idea to play as a detective to discover clue in the story. The story is great but I can't get enough information to find the abductor. It would be great if there are advance questions for the interrogation. Nice job!
Hm, I thought it was pretty good. The story was interesting and it definitely made me want to feel like a detective. I didn't feel like there was enough time or dialogue to actually do detective work, though... there were essentially 5 questions I could ask at maximum, and they were mostly repeating information that I could already see in the big text descriptions of each suspect. I got it correct because on what appeared to be an unrelated question one of the characters called out the other one... So yeah it didn't feel like I had really dug up or solved anything. I was kind of expecting some minor detail in their backstory to not add up or something and that's how I'd do it.
Nice entry in this gamejam. I want to admit some problems. First things first is text that go out through the borders. Second things second is small amount of quetions. There are the same questions for every suspect. it will be cool if there will be a little variety. Despite of this problems your game is cool. Nice background music and story. Nice try!

HELLO AGAIN EVERYONE!! Thank-you for playing my game this dare around.
For those of you who do not know, I have started a youtube channel with high hopes of creating an epic full-fledged game sometime in the near future. At this time I have a few videos but wanted to showcase this LD46 Devlog video I just put out.
Please check it out and consider subscribing if you enjoy this kind of content. Truly appreciate it...Thanks!!

@gamer-fates already saw this video! Amazing work!!
@aryanjumani Dang, that's what's up thanks!
Liked the detective aspect to the game and how you had to consider the details to figure out what it all meant just wish there was a bit more chance to find out more before the end. Was a well done game with nice gameplay.
Man I am always bad at these types of games. I never even got past the first case in LA Noire lol. Anyways this was very well made. The ability to pan the camera at any time was kind of pointless, but did help make the game feel much more polished. The. music. was. AMAZING! I loved it. It set the mood for the game perfectly. Great job!
Nice visual style, well written and the music fits the mood of the narrative. :)
Good game, I like the navigation. The art was good as well.
Original concept and cool art style. The only thing is that when I was playing I kept trying to connect the dots with the theme and I guess, from your description, is "keep the case alive"?
@splitpainter it's a game about abduction. You are to keep the suspect alive. But yeah thanks! I hope you enjoyed. I need to work on adding questions.
Nice take on the theme. Though you might want to fix your wording in the initial letter - "Unless you do exactly what i say, i will release my hostage." Release means that they'll let them go, which seems very benevolent for a kidnapper who hasn't received their money. Also in the final News bulletin it should be "finalize her divorce" not marriage. Again, opposite meaning.
But good job overall in weaving enough information into the dialogue for the player to draw their own conclusions, it's really tricky to pull off. I did feel like the way the questions were phrased was a bit restrictive, as some of the basics like "Who are you?" are covered in the briefing and who is going to waste 2 hours on asking that question when they already know? So some variation there might have been nice, but game writing is time consuming, and you did pretty well within the 72hrs timeframe. I also enjoyed the timer aspect, and how the search for more information made things more dire.
I have no words all i can say youa re really tickling my brain to solve the case. An amazing game xD I am looking forward to see more contents in the future :D
