LD46 — Keep it alive

The Sword of Saturn by tinykidtoo 2020-04-21T05:20:03Z

This game was super fun! The music was super cool, and I loved the blood effects. Super gorey and epic. The subtle camera shake was just enough, and the comments the Sword of Saturn makes are hilarious.

Trumpocalypse 2020 by aaranos 2020-04-23T04:44:22Z

The twitter panel is hilarious! Great work! I was a bit confused in the beginning on how to play the game, but overall this game was really fun and creative. 'MURICA!

Reeactor by Ace17 2020-04-23T18:09:58Z

Really unique game, very creative idea! I had a bit of trouble picking the game up at first, but it was still really fun! Keep up the great work!

Brawnfire by bitdecay 2020-04-21T04:34:07Z

This game was really fun! The sound design was super cool, and I loved the camera shakes. Keep up the great work!

Tell a Fairy Tale by Zesix 2020-04-22T19:43:15Z

This was a really cool game, though I would've preferred some UI elements, like a timer. The music was really cute and fit the mood of this game really well. I found the game a bit hard to control, I would've preferred a third-person controller, which could transform the game into a stealth game, a bit like MGS. The beginning was super cool, and I really enjoyed playing the game overall. Thanks for making this!

afterthought by Rionisse 2020-04-21T04:15:45Z

I love the story, and the graphics are SICK! I love the unique art style as well. I had fun playing your game, just that I'm on my laptop right now, and I had some lag spikes. Other than that, you did really well! I look forward to playing some of your other games soon!

StarShip Hamster by Maytch 2020-04-21T18:52:07Z

Really nice idea, and such a high quality game for a 3-day game jam! Very nice 3D models and materials, very nice environment!

Keep up the great work!

Virus Simulator by Sli 2020-04-21T02:28:38Z

I really enjoyed this game! If only real governments could work this fast...

Protect the Sand-Worm! by Jofish 2020-04-22T17:50:22Z

Everything was great! I was really impressed by the graphics, very nice color set. The movement and shooting were great, though the controls took a bit to get used to. Great work!

Turtle Daddy by dummydojo 2020-04-23T02:59:19Z

As a huge fan of TMNT, this made me feel like the fifth ninja turtle! The shell-throwing was super creative and reminded me a bit of God of War's Leviathan axe because it hits on the way back. The graphics were super cute, and the mood of the game fit really well. The difficulty increased rapidly, which I think was great. This game was definitely one of the best I've played in this jam. Keep up the great work! I've followed you on itch.io!

LifeLine by pomeroyb 2020-04-21T04:30:38Z

Great job! Loved this game! Perfect balance of difficulty and fun! I think maybe you could use a CRT post-processing effect, as well as sound effects for the up and down. Very fun overall.

Signal Surfer by ChewieCB 2020-04-21T18:44:00Z

The gameplay was super smooth, a really nice twist on an infinite runner. Loved the final signal received animation. I think there could've been a few more obstacles (maybe a lightning strike?) though I'm sure you would've implemented if you had more time. I enjoyed the game even though I played it in my browser. I was also thinking if you could implement some powerups, EG super speed. Thanks for making this, and I look forward to seeing what else you've created. Good luck!

Elnelis by Rodi 2020-04-21T18:38:31Z

Loved the unique artstyle and the platforming and movement felt really smooth. The animations for the double jump were really nice. The text being typed on the first part of the game was a really nice touch. I can't wait for your next games!

DOC+ORS by bixarrio 2020-04-21T02:21:02Z

Feels really good to play. Loved the graphics and sound design. Great job!

Final Interrogation by Gamer Fates 2020-04-23T02:54:32Z

Loved the beginning cutscene and graphics style! Very unique game, one of the most original I've rated so far! Keep up the great work!

Lights Out by Batswinger 2020-04-21T15:48:08Z

The ambient sound was eerily quiet and just noticeable! I loved the game, got my heart racing!

Baby Simulator by EdZ123 2020-04-23T04:40:46Z

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Sad news bois: The baby is dead Really unique game idea, and I loved the way this was made. The mouse sensitivity was a bit high, but loved the WAAAAAA! This game was WAAAAA-y to good to have been made in 3 days. "epic"

Heartbleed by terminal29 2020-04-21T05:23:20Z

Great mood and sound effects, loved the movement of the character. I would prefer the WASD over arrow keys a bit more, but that's it for input. This game could've used a bit of ambient music to better set the mood, but overall, this is one of the best games I've played for this jam.

Escape With Alive by Arefnue 2020-04-22T21:47:47Z

It's Jammo!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-21T05:10:21Z

@boargames The final boss has a health of 30. We've playtested this a bit, and found some of these bugs. Once LD46 is over, We'll patch the game. By the way, the program we used to create the music is called SoundTrap. There are some great royalty free HQ music loops to use for your game. We went for a Doom/Metal vibe in this one. we're glad you enjoyed this game. We'll make sure to keep you posted once we patch this game. For the sound, we'll try my best to fix some issues, as we realize some sound effects could be really annoying after being repeatedly heard. How was the overall experience, did you beat the game? Thank you so much for reviewing our game!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-21T05:11:24Z

@infinitycore Thanks for the feedback! We followed a tutorial about the camera, and intentionally went for a delayed follow. We'll experiment a bit with a locked-state camera for the player. We'll keep you posted for any updates.

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-21T18:31:40Z

@tudvari Thanks for the feedback! We're not familiar with the rules of Ludum Dare, though we'd love to patch some of the issues. We'll make sure to patch these issues shown after this rating period though. Thanks for playing!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-21T18:32:25Z

@rodi Thanks for playing! We've gotten some negative feedback for the camera, but thanks for also giving us feedback about the tiles. We'll make sure to play your game!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-21T18:59:55Z

Thanks for the feed back @broken-robot-studios. We're not familiar with the rules of game jams, but can we patch the game during the rating period? Thanks for the feedback, we've also gotten lots of feedback about the camera. We'll make sure to fix it as well as expand its field of view so the player knows what's going on.

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-22T02:23:00Z

@nanoarch Thanks for giving us feedback! We'vereceived lots of feedback about the camera. We did try our best to do better platformer movement. However, we did run into a glitch during playtesting in the engine that sometimes everything in the game would speed up (player and enemy speed), maybe you ran into that glitch? It didn't happen to us while playtesting, but we'll try our best to fix these glitches. Thanks for playing!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-22T17:28:09Z

@torh That is a SICK video, love the editing! Will we be included in this video? The Indiexpo site isn't working when we tried to upload our game on there, but our game is on itch.io. We'll try to upload the game, and we'll contact you on this thread once we can get our game on Indiexpo. Keep up the great videos!

Edit: We got our game onto Indiexpo! Thanks for giving us this opportunity! We couldn't find out how to make our game playable in browser, so we posted Windows and Mac download links.

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-22T19:34:45Z

@sadsmile @zesix So glad you liked it! We came up with the name Chiefdoom because we kind of wanted a Doom vibe and we based our player off of Master Chief. Thanks so much!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-22T19:38:44Z

@daniel-thomas Thank you so much for playing our game! We've received lots of complaints about the camera, and I'll take full responsibility for not putting enough work into the camera script. We'll patch the game after the rating part, and we'll keep you posted for any updates. We'll also be posting some updates about our game's glitches on our Twitter here @SoftwareXeno.

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-23T02:52:38Z

@boargames We want to thank you for your feedback, and thanks for playing. However, we have a favor to ask of you. Could you send us a screen recording of you playing our game up to the point where you describe the glitches (preferably with audio)? Thanks so much!

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-23T15:19:18Z

@henwee Yeah true, we'll try to fix that. Thanks for giving us this feedback and playing our game! We'll be posting some updates on our Twitter @SoftwareXeno

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-23T17:38:45Z

@rojola Thanks so much for playing! We'll be changing and patching some problems/bugs which we'll release on our itch.io after the rating period for LD46. We're glad you like the music and sprites, for the music we used a tool called SoundTrap which has royalty free loops you can throw together to make your song. Thanks for your feedback, and we'll be posting updates for this game (about patches and stuff) on our Twitter @SoftwareXeno.

Aftermath by xeno-software 2020-04-26T01:09:39Z

@laura-del-pino We've received lots of criticism about the camera. We're posting updates about this game and some updates we'll be giving it after the rating period of Ludum Dare. We've been looking for playtesters to experiment with this new build, so tweet at us @SoftwareXeno if you're interested in playtesting. Thanks for playing!

Plant Man by Broken Robot Studios 2020-04-21T18:49:27Z

Loved the idea of throwing your plant at people instead of having the regular idea of feeding your plant. Very nice twists, though I do wish the movement speed was a bit faster. Sometimes the platforming movement also feels a bit slippery. Great game overall, and I loved the main menu. Keep up the great work!

Boid Survivor by Pumpkikin 2020-04-21T05:08:36Z

Very unique look and graphics. I kind of felt that the music didn't match the dark mood, but I loved the game. Funnily enough, I didn't realize the theme until halfway through so I was spamming LMB until I lost all my ammo. Very enjoyable experience, I hope to play some of your other games.

Nightmare Knights by Low Mana 2020-04-21T05:28:10Z

These graphics are sick! Loved the idea of protecting the person asleep. As a kid, I loved teddy bears, so this was kind of a nostalgic twist (if that makes sense?) Great job! I look forward to playing some more of your games!
