Nice game! The writing style is great, and I like the different locations. Awesome story!

Nice game! The writing style is great, and I like the different locations. Awesome story!
Nice game, The graphical style is really nice. I would like movement to be a bit faster as others have said. Maybe introduce powerups or something to make the game more interesting too. Overall though, it's a solid concept and it's good to see you working on a post LD version.
I enjoyed watching this unfold. It looked pretty cool. Hopefully you will have better luck completing your game next time.
Really like the pace of this game, and it sets the tone well. I like the simple graphics, they look really nice. Sometimes it's annoying when you randomly get forced to circle into one of those trap things. Overall, nice work!
I liked this game. It was fun to try out all the different types of turret and see the new enemies. Perhaps a game over screen when all your turrets die would work so that you don't have to wait for your health to run out. Great job, it's a cool game.
Nice game. The idea is pretty cool. Its mostly good but a few things could be implemented a little bit better. The green target thing moves away from the mouse as you reach the edge of the screen, and maybe make it a bit more obvious when a guard dies. I found myself shooting at dead ones quite a bit. Overall, this is a pretty good game. Would love to see a post LD version because you could do a lot with this.
Really cool game. Very nice mechanics and polish. Good job!
I really enjoyed this game. The graphics are beautiful and the music fits the game well. The puzzles are not too difficult or to easy and are fun to solve. I only noticed one small bug which caused the x key not to work but after another playthrough it did not occur again.
Nice game. I liked the semi-randomness of the magnifying glass, although some progression and further randomness would help the gameplay. Some randomness in the location of the fruit would be a bit more interesting too. I like that it is harder to move the ant when it gets hit. Overall, this is a pretty good game and I would love to see some updates :)
Awesome game! Really cool. A bit more instruction would go a long way but overall good work!
Cool game idea. It's a nice twist on the theme. I love listening to the people going about their business and hen destroying them. Can't see any bugs. Good work!
Nice! Loads of content, original concept, amazing graphics and controls. Good job!
Awesome game. Really cool puzzles and the level of polish is really good. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this. Nice job guys!
Interesting concept. A few bugs include attack sometimes not working and swords killing flower without hitting it. Controls are also a bit unusual, but overall the game was quite fun.
This game is amazing. Really original and funny concept. I love the way everyone just instantly destroying each other. Good work, deserves more ratings :)
This game is insane! I played for a hour with 62 people on! Awesome job.
This is an amazing concept, and its implemented well. All you need is a larger player base and it would be really enjoyable. Brilliant job!
Really nice graphics and a light but enjoyable story.
Pretty nice game. Haven't seen any others like it so far. The graphics look cool, I like the low poly style. I would prefer if the cannon could aim down near the barrier, but that isn't a major problem. Cool game. Please make it post LD, I'd love to try it with even more cool features.
Cool game. That's a really unique concept. A little bit more instruction would be nice, but overall really fun when you get the hang of it. Good submission!
Nice game! The light looks cool. How did you manage to handle so many AIs? The shooting mechanic feels smooth. I noticed a small bug where the mouse looking centre becomes offset as you move from the starting position. You can fix this by saying something like LookPos = transform.position - Input.MousePosition; Nice game overall. I agree that variety would help. Nice job!
@avitt Nice! Thanks for the awesome reply. That's really interesting.
Awesome game! Really nice and original concept. Good work!
Awesome game. I didn't know it was possible to do that. Really cool concept, and execution is very nice. Good job!
I love this concept. Will be really cool when you continue it into post LD. The first thing to do is probably generate the levels procedurally, and then work on sound and stuff. Overall, the idea is good and would play very well with some more work. Glad to see you're continuing it :)
Awesome game. I love the sound and graphics. The controls are pretty nice, but the 8d aiming can be annoying at times. Overall, really cool game. One of my favourites so far. Good work!
Cool game! Nice concept, fits the theme well. As others have said, the art is a bit blurry sometimes, but you can fix that in unity by selecting the image then changing the filter to point(no filter).
Just played the post LD version. Nice improvements :)
Love this game. The graphics are amazing. The controls are really smooth(I love the triple jump ), and the gameplay in general is really fun. Nice work. In my top 3 at the moment
This is a really cool game. I love the story. The amount of quests you made in such a short time is remarkable. I'd love to see this in post LD
Really original idea, i love it. Its really fun and you can spend a lot of time playing. A little bit of information might help but overall really nice job.
@pilarius Oh yeah sorry about that lol. I meant how to play.
This game has a really nice feel, and the graphics suit it really well. The letter was funny. I like the crates. The game has a good concept and is well implemented. A small bug sometimes stops me from kicking crabs. Overall, it was great.
Nice game! Didn't realise it was a twin stick until i read the comments. A small tutorial would be nice. Overall though, it's a cool idea and really enjoyable shooter. Nice job!
Cool game. The AI is pretty smart for a jam game. I like the fight mechanics, and they aren't too easy, which is good. No complaints really, nice job!
Nice game but it's really difficult. I couldn't get a single point against the ai. Also, maybe give the ball a bit less drag. Overall though, really cool idea. Could be very fun if you continued to work at it.
@fancypants That sounds pretty good. I think difficulty levels will definitely make it easier to progress.
This game fit the theme well and had really nice graphics and gameplay. The balance of difficulty was fairly good as well. Saving might have been a helpful addition, especially with the bug mentioned above(i had to restart as unfortunately the bug crashed the game). Overall, I really enjoyed this game.
Cool game. I like the simple style. It makes the game simple to learn but the difficulty curve still makes it a fun challenge with plenty of gameplay. Trying out the different abilities was really fun. Nice original idea. Good job.
I've never seen movement like that. It's really cool, but might benefit from moving faster towards the mouse. The graphics are really cool and it's a very original and fun concept that you have. Nice work!
Well developed game. No apparent bugs, and it's really good for your first time using the engine.
GRAPHICS: The heart animation looks awesome, and I really like the menu graphics as well.
GAMEPLAY: Fun and intense. I like the difficulty curve.
Conclusion: Cool game. As others have said, syncing with the music would be really nice, but overall this game is really fun. Good job guys!
caused severe wrist damage lol. Bug wouldn't let me get pas level 3 but still enjoyed it. Nice work!
This game is insanely difficult(not in a bad way). I like the original mechanics and game idea. Played this for a long time. Nice job!
I know many have said this, but really nice graphics, the style is beautiful.
This game is really intense. The concept is really original and fun. Nice work!
Nice! I love the PS1 style graphics and would love to see the planned features implemented.
I played this for like half an hour. It was really enjoyable. The graphics were great, especially the books. Managed to grab 6th place too :). Really nice game, one of my favourites so far!
@ausstein Just stole your record! :smirk:
@ausstein Just came back on the site now. That's an insane score lol. @extrone That new UI looks awesome. Does the quit button still say nope? I would love to see this continue in post LD because I it's really fun and has loads of potential. You did an amazing job and I would even buy a paid version of this without hesitation
@extrone Just found a cool movement trick. If you shoot while jumping or double jumping backwards you go really fast. It could end up as the base for a great movement system that rewards skilled players with the additional edge of increased speed
@extrone Sounds Awesome! I can't wait to see it. Be sure to @mention me in that post when the time comes
I love this game. It's really fun and well polished. I love the art and gameplay. Really good job
Pretty cool game. As mentioned before, it would be nice to see the servers health, and sometimes the enemies start shaking when they reach the server. The graphics and story were really good, and the gameplay was a bit slow but still fun. Nice game.
Wow, you made this in blender game engine. Congratulations! That is no easy feat, Unfortunately, I am not a mac user so I could not play it.
Cool game. Looks really nice, and the music fits well. It's simple but really fun. It destroyed my hands XD. Nice job, really good entry!
This game is surprisingly intense, and the sounds are really funny. Nice job!
This game was simple but brilliant. The graphics and feel are really nice, and so are the sounds. The controls are smooth and not too complex. The difficulty is well balanced, and gave me more gameplay than expected
Nice game. It's fast-paced nature keeps the player engaged. Maybe make it a bit harder to shoot the mermaid though lol. Overall good job.
This game's really fun. It fits the theme well, and having to throw the capsule makes it a really fun challenge. Awesome work!
Nice game! Amazing how many levels you made in 3 days! I really liked this one. Maybe remove the fade between turns, but overall amazing work!
Nice game. Really cool concept. It's well implemented too, but the end didn't trigger after I did everything. I then looked at the hints to see if there were other threats. nope. It's a shame, because it was a really fun game, and a good job overall.
Awesome game! Honestly, I have no complaints. It looks good, the changes make a great challenge, its polished, the difficulty is balanced. Really good job!
Nice game. I love how hard the controls are to master. The drifting is a really cool feature. Sometimes different images went behind each other. Overall, good entry. Nice job!
Cool game. I love the tileset and the characters are pretty good considering the time you had to make them. Controls feel quite nice, but the shooting was a little bit clunky. On the x86 version, the last enemy doesn't spawn on the second wave, but overall nice job. This game's pretty nice and could be great in post LD.
@artemftw Ahh ok. I had the same kind of problem with a follower on my game. I had kind of a similar situation when a path finding library made for my game but then I couldn't use it since it destroyed the browser.
Nice game. That's a really interesting idea, and well executed and polished. The graphics look cool. It would be nice if the instructions were a bit clearer, and while I acknowledge that you were trying to let the player do their own thing to a degree, I still feel that more instruction would be helpful. Overall, really nice entry. Good job!
Really nice game. The graphics were great! I love the procedural rocks. The controls were a bit slow, making them feel unresponsive, but overall the puzzles were really fun and you did well.
Cool game. I really love this. It's a very original concept and it's implemented well too. Nice job, very polished.
@shakedimus Actually forgot to rate  I've got it done now. Glad you noticed :)
The graphics are really nice. I love the slow motion effect menu lol. The controls were pretty fun but the aiming could be improved a bit. Overall really well done.
Really nice game. I love the graphics. The gameplay is simple but enjoyable. Nice job guys.
Really funny idea. I love the graphics and the gameplay is smooth too. Good job guys!
Very cool game. It's well polished, the upgrades keep the player interested, the intro/outro are funny, the controls were simple but effective and the boss is epic. Really good game.
Really awesome game. The story is nice, the humor is great. I love the drawings, and it was difficult but not overly so. Really had fun with this.
Really nice original idea. I love how dynamic and varied it is. You really feel like your choices make a difference. Nice work!
This game is really cool. I love the progression of new features such as the targeting. I played it to the end of the end screen  TrueEnd.PNG
@mediocremonty You should do post LD I love this game
@mediocremonty Sounds awesome! @mention me here if it gets finished :)
Nice game! I love the fire rate. For some reason, it's really amusing to see a rocket launcher firing so fast and the shells piling up on the floor. The gameplay feels really smooth. Nice job!
Awesome game! Really nice and original idea. I had a lot of fun, and not really any complaints. Nice work!
Nice game! the graphics are really nice, and the controls are smooth. The resource sound was a bit annoying, but overall nice work! Also, was the new earth supposed to look like a fetus in a womb lol
Cool game. Pretty funny and unexpected. Nice job
This game was wonderful! One of my favourites. The story is really well mixed in with the music playing, and the graphics are lovely. A really nice, relaxing game. Nicely done!
I love this game, it's really fun. This is one of the two most well-polished games I've seen in this jam so far, and one of the most enjoyable too. The scene transitions and level graphics are really nice. The controls are smooth and the double jump is very satisfying. I really liked this game. Great job!
This game has a really nice concept, and it's very well implemented. It needs some performance optimization, but overall is very fun. I like that you are continuing to update it.
GRAPHICS: UI looks pretty good. The animals and environment look amazing.
GAMEPLAY: Controls are fairly nice. I would prefer if the right-click looking was not inverted, but that's personal preference. The progression is really well balanced other then some of the prices(I think you updated that).
BUGS: Shadows cast on the river make the water invisible.
Conclusion: Really nice game. Updates have solved most of the issues I noticed. This is one of the best implementations I've seen so far. Nice work!
@ausstein Sure, here it is(it happens when trees cast shadows as well) Screenshot (97).png
Just tried the quality of life update. That is a massive improvement! Nice job fixing the water. I love the fast forward feature. Maybe Make a down arrow for it as well so that the player doesnt have to go all the way up to 8x when they want to get back to normal speed. There are a lot of cool features in this update. Nice work!
@ausstein Thanks, that makes sense. Maybe add it as a side note in the tutorial?
@ausstein Wow! That's a cool update. I'll try it out tomorrow. Annoying about the stuck creatures tho :(
Awesome game. Controls are really smooth. I love the lighting. The enemies are a good challenge, and a leaderboard is cool to have. Nice work!
Nice concept, and really well implemented. It kept me playing for much longer than I expected. The art is pretty impressive as well. Nicely done!
I love this game. The storytelling was great, as were the visuals. I had loads of fun playing it. Nice job!
This game is really cool. The graphics look really nice. I like the sound, both in the background and from the player's actions. The movement controls occasionally cut out but it didn't cause too much frustration as they came back quickly. The system of having to carefully manage your resources is really cool. I love the way you have to figure out how not to lose them, and if you do lose them, then all hope is lost. It forces you to think and plan your timing, which makes the game really enjoyable. Really nice job, I'd love to see what you decide to do for LD47.
Cool game. Most of it is pretty well polished, and the simple graphics were nice. The controls were smooth, and I like that objects weigh you down. As others have said, the hunger bar may be a bit too fast, but overall this game was really fun. Nice work!
Pretty cool game. The graphics are lovely. A few things need work though. It's good to hear that you fixed the problem with the wolves, though, as that was the only major issue.
Cool idea. Simple but fun. One of my favourite games so far. I love the graphics. The movement is smooth, but maybe could be slightly faster. I love all the different areas. Nice touch putting your logo as the crop circle. Really nice entry. Nice work!
Cool game. I liked the idea. It was funny and enjoyable.
GRAPHICS: Looks pretty nice. It was somewhat inconsistent between the smooth monster with hair and the blocky people, but that isn't very important.
GAMEPLAY: Really fun. I love eating people who are desperately trying to escape lol.
Conclusion: Awesome game. Really original and funny concept. Awesome work!
This game is pretty cool. More polish is needed(there were a few bugs), but overall its pretty nice.
GRAPHICS: UI and background could use a little bit of work. The enemies, player and king look cool, and the weapon particle effects are awesome.
SOUND: The audio is very high quality and fits the weapons well. Some ambient sounds would be nice, as well as common things such as footsteps.
GAMEPLAY: The controls feel very smooth. Having multiple weapons is nice and adds good variety to the game. The upgrade store adds enjoyable progression.
BUGS: There were a few bugs. When I got to a certain point, enemies permanently stopped spawning. The weapons' reload cycle can be subverted by through them quickly. Upgrades eventually cost 0 blood drops.
Conclusion: Solid concept. Implementation needs some work. Nice game and good entry.
Cool game. The graphics look nic. You got quite a few gameplay mechanics in for such a short time. Nice job!
Cool game. The graphics are simple but nice, The gameplay is good but may be better if you have to give stuff to the plant more often. Overall I liked this game. Good job.
Nice game! I started unity when I was 11(am 13 now). It would be nice if the look controls were a bit less sensitive and had y movement, but overall this is a really cool entry. Nice work!
Funny idea, the game was enjoyable but a bit more information on how to play would be nice.
Awesome game. I love that you tell a really long boring story so people won't see how to avoid the trap lol. The graphics look great and fit really well with the music. Really good job, I loved this game.
Nice game. I love the feel of it. The tutorial is very informative. I love the art, and the post-processing really adds to the atmosphere. Good work!
@gamescodedogs there is: fren6.itch.io/keep-the-fish-alive
Nice game! I like the difficulty progression between levels. It gets intense pretty fast. I started unity when I was 11, but my art was definitely not up to the standard that yours is. Two years later and its not much better lol. Good job!
@unimaginable-code-studios Well, at least I'm not as bad as I thought i was :)
@unimaginable-code-studios Nice result dude!
thanks :)
This game is awesome. I love the slow motion. The game is really well polished and the controls are insanely smooth. Awesome work!
Nice game. It's a really cool mystery, and the music fits it well. Good job.
I loved this game. It was fun and relaxing, not to mention funny. I had a lot of fun playing this and the art is great too. Great job,
Thanks for the feedback so far. @kevin-meissner I checked that, and there's a bug when you die which shows the old man death screen instead of the player one. @forevertrash Perhaps a trigger collider would better fit the enemies. As for the saves, the game uses an autosave system whereby you can load the beginning of the last level you played and keep your treasure. @petrifiedapple Thanks, at the moment I have no other notable projects, but if I make anything substantial, I'll post it on my itch.io page. @matt2728 Unfortunately, browser performance issues caused the camera shake and treasure animations to run slower than in the editor. Thank you for mentioning that. I'll remember to optimize performance for future browser projects. @sol-roo I will be sure to add further story + intro if/when I continue this game after LD.
@amkingtrp Thanks. I think knockback would fit really well.
@illuminegames Thanks! I'm working on a post-jam version adressing the issues and suggestions mentioned above. I'll post it here when it's ready.
@svenerik Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, the camera shake was a performance error, and since game was published close to the deadline, I didn't have time to rectify it. @njm-games Thanks for rating. I initially incorporated path finding, but had to remove it due to performance issues in the browser.
@grtodaro lol yeah im working on difficulty in my post LD version. Ill post here when it's ready.
@nodlehs The player flashes red when hit, however this is not very clear, and my post LD version will have more information on the status of the player and the old man. @alex-karev I will look into sounds in the post LD version. I've never tried that before so should be interesting. I will also work on difficulty.
@lazzydev72 yeah lol im currently working on difficulty in my post LD version.
@niels In my post LD version, which I am currently working on I've changed the screen shake and am working on ways to make the enemies a bit less difficult(and in some cases impossible). The coins are just for fun but if I find a use for them I'll add it. Thanks for the feedback!
@digitallimestone Thank you for your feedback! At the moment I'm working on a few different ways to improve difficulty, and I'll try your suggestions too. Glad you noticed the pause menu too! Unfortunately, it doesn't work in fullscreen on the browser, but I still like it, and I might add downloadable version in my post LD release, so it'll work there. Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
@nazorus Thanks for the feedback. I just finished doing your game :)
@vladlawrence Thanks for commenting. The game has 5 levels because I didn't have much time, but in my post LD version, I'm hoping for at least 10. I also have plans for further story. I'll probably post the first version of the post LD today or tomorrow.
@sorko Thanks for giving feedback! I'm working on enemies in my post LD version.
@radow Thanks for trying out my game! In my post LD version, I'm working on difficulty among other things. The first version will be posted here today, check it out if you like :)
@mobiledev Thanks for playing and rating! Glad you liked it. I'm taking down the difficulty in my post LD version because there were many situations in which it was physically impossible not to die
@mobildev @radow @sorko @vladlawrence @niels @sol-roo @nodlehs @nazorus @ponypen @svenerik @njm-games @forevertrash @ben-taylor @lazzydev72 @alex-karev @digitallimestone @grtodaro @illuminegames @amkingtrp @kevin-meissner @petrifiedapple @matt2728
The first build of the post LD version is available on itch.io now. Try it here if you're interested: https://convg.itch.io/keep-him-alive-new
@digitallimestone meant to do this earlier, then forgot. Here's the code for the pause menu
using System.Collections; using System.Collections.Generic; using UnityEngine; using UnityEngine.SceneManagement;
public class PauseScreen : MonoBehaviour { private GameObject Player; private GameObject Cam;
public GameObject GameCanvas; public GameObject PauseCanvas; private bool Paused = false;
void Start(){ Time.timeScale = 1; Player = GameObject.Find("Player"); Cam = GameObject.Find("Main Camera"); }
void Update(){ if(Input.GetKeyDown(KeyCode.Escape)){ if(Paused == false){ PauseCanvas.SetActive(true); GameCanvas.SetActive(false); Cam.transform.parent = null; Player.SetActive(false); Paused = true; Time.timeScale = 0; } else { Unpause(); } } }
public void Unpause(){ PauseCanvas.SetActive(false); GameCanvas.SetActive(true); Cam.transform.parent = Player.transform; Player.SetActive(true); Paused = false; Time.timeScale = 1; }
public void ReturnToMenu(){ SceneManager.LoadScene("Menu"); } }
also sorry for the bad formatting, I can't upload the file :/
@ryannielson Thanks for the feedback! Story and instruction is currently my top priority for the post LD version.
@surfskater2 Thanks for the feedback! It may seem that I am only focused on negative feedback, but that is because the 'negative' feedback is really just constructive criticism, and helps me to make an even better version of the game, and learn in the process. That said, the positive feedback is a great help and I would like to thank everyone here for their support and feedback, and I hope to continue this game, and create a new one for LD47.
@savvu Thanks for playing. Now that you have discovered my secret developer quick level completion trick I'll have to remove it lol
@surfskater2 Got it. Thanks for replying! That is greatly appreciated. Sound is probably going to be the biggest factor towards positive feedback.
@forgeronstudio Thanks for the feedback! Having puzzles involving the old man is a really good idea. I'm gonna need to make a list of all you guys' great suggestions
@wans24 I can't thank you enough for doing this. It means the world to me. Thank you so much!!! I haven't played Quake, although I would like to try it based on how good Enemy Territory Quake Wars was. Also, sorry for offending Quake players if they aren't at all alike lol
@banzi Thanks for playing! Sound and music are one of my top priorities in the post LD version, and I hope to have something soon.
@wans24 Just finished watching your speedrun. It's insane! How did you get so good at this so quickly!? Anyway, awesome job, thank you!
@wans24 Awesome idea! Crowd control abilities would be really fun. I'm gonna try to update the post LD version once per day for the moment, so stay tuned! :)
@nightjolt Thanks for commenting! The camera shake was lowered in the post-LD version, but I think I need to bring it down even more.
@sciman101 The enemy difficulty and their general mechanics are greatly improved in the post-LD version and I'm thinking of further tweaks for them too
@coolestdoggie Thanks for taking the time to play my game. Enemy difficulty has been improved in the post LD version(i got a lot of comments about the difficulty lol).
@gamer-fates Thanks for the feedback. Health bars are a work in progress, and old man speed buffs are coming, as well as a penalty for losing sight of him.
@legavroche Thanks for rating my game! Knockback is in the post LD version if you're interested. The enemies are a bit easier in general too. I'm working on healthbars for it too
@historymaker118 Thank you for such a detailed comment. It really helps. As said above, health bars are coming. Reduced enemy difficulty and camera shake(I still need to reduce it more lol) are already added to the post LD version :). Thanks for mentioning the controls, I havent heard anybody else say that, so it is especially helpful. The art will just take time and practise, so I'm working on that. I'll probably use sfxr to add some sounds. Unfortunately, I didn't have time at the weekend. Anyway, thank you both again for your detailed comments. I really appreciate them
@legavroche Thanks! Always glad to see people try the post-jam version :)
@wans24 I added crowd control to the post LD version today if you want to check it out :)
@wans24 Awesome, thanks! I'll probably nerf the circle attack's damage today.
@wans24 Awesome, thanks!
@wans24 Awesome, thanks!
Sorry for spam, the website glitched
@scott-steffes Thanks for commenting. I'm working on ways to make the "manhole"(the thing with the 5), which is the exit to the level more obvious. Also, the first and second level just happen to be very alike, as well as part of the third. I'll probably edit them, but it's not currently my top priority.
@daniil-tcyvakin Thanks for playing my game. I'm glad you liked it!
@god-colo Thanks for the feedback. It's good to see people enjoying my game
@thebreakfast Thanks for commenting! It's my first time trying sound so I really appreciate feedback on it. I'll try to make more of a *fwip* sound :)
@systematic Thanks for playing! Everyone, including me, found the game too difficult. The post LD version's difficulty is far more balanced if you want to check it out
@midnightmist Thanks for the feedback! I'm currently working on sound effects(pretty bad at the moment bc it's my first time), and will add music if I get the game to a reasonably polished state. :)
@ryan-ackermann Thanks for commenting. I went a bit overboard with the difficulty during the jam so the post LD version has improved on that to make the game feel more balanced.
@juice-lizard Thanks for commenting! I'm working on new sound effects, including the coin. Thanks for mentioning the coins' smoothness. That's new. I'll make the. fade faster.
@barret Thanks for playing! I'm currently working on sound and healthbars in the post LD version. Screen shake has already been reduced in the post LD version, but i think I might need to reduce it even more lol.
@barret Thanks for replying. I'm glad you like what I've done so far
@bredian Thanks for commenting! Glad you tried the post LD version too. I'm trying to make the AI get into more danger lol. Thanks for mentioning the camera shake still being too high. I noticed that the knight looked like a knob while I was making the game, so the animations are literally called knob_up, knob_right etc
@fancypants Thanks for the feedback! In the post LD version, you can no longer hit enemies from the edge of the room(the go back to the centre). It's probably a good idea to make them slower, so thanks. I'm currently working on health bars. The coins are just for fun but I might assign some use to them. The screen shake is lower in post LD but I need to reduce it even more I think. Thanks for acknowledging that other comments may have adressed the same issues. I appreciate it
@gameovermexico Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it
@trigueiro Thanks for the feedback. Having a difficulty ladder is a good idea. I'll improve the progression soon in my post LD version :)
@hhsaez Thanks for commenting! In my post LD version I'm working on difficulty. The coins are just for fun. Do you know if you are allowed add screen shots now or do I have to do it when I publish the game?
@hhsaez Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was against the rules
@shakedimus That was a very detailed comment. Thank you! I have made some changes to things you mentioned in my post LD version but more is still to be done, and this comment will be very helpful
@zubspace Thanks for the feedback! The first three dungeons badly need to be changed, and the enemies are a bit uninteresting at the moment, so I'll be working on them in my post LD version @virtuaworlds Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you liked it :)
@ogma Thanks for leaving such detailed feedback! I'm glad you liked the sword animation so much . Thanks for the screenshake tips. Good to know :)
@ausstein Thanks! This is really good feedback . In future games, I will remove the diagonal movement thing, and that video is really helpful. I don't really want to in this game though because it actually adds to the fun a bit and makes speedrunning more interesting. I'll probably lower the sword's damage because the post LD version is pretty easy. Thanks again for commenting :)
@ausstein That's a good point. I'll look into that. I'm a titanfall player so I do really like that kind of movement.
@ausstein Nice . I can't work live with you but it would be really helpful if you know of any tutorials or documentation on the subject.
@ausstein Wow, thank you! This is a really good piece of information to have, and will help a lot with future games as well as this one
@ausstein I actually don't have max velocity, and for the purpose of this, I might as well just leave it like that :P
@room606 Thanks for commenting! I'll reduce camera shake in the next update. I'm working on health bars at the moment, and there's already one sound in the post LD version, but there are more to come :).
@gelgavish Thanks for the detailed feedback! I tried A* and Dijkstra's method for the father during the jam, but they were too performance-heavy. Do you know of any faster methods for the browser? I agree that it would really help gameplay. I've had a lot of comments about the money. I'll start to make a plan for what to do with it, and this comment will be especially helpful. Enemies targeting the father is a good idea. I'll also try to make him walk into trouble a bit more. The first game has 5 levels, and the post LD currently has 7 :)
@lcossette lol glad you liked the game :)
@emperor-eagle Thanks for the great feedback! The screenshake has been lowered in the post LD version, and enemies can no longer be attacked from outside the room :)
@matootsy Thanks for rating! The screenshake is lowered in the post LD version along with many other improvements. Check it out if you're interested!
@lcstark Thank you for the feedback. It probably is a good idea to make the flash longer :)
@naca Thanks for replying! I'm glad you like it.
@splitpainter Thanks for replying! I'm working on sound with bfxr at the moment. Difficulty is better in the post LD version. The loot is just for fun but I might add some kind of shop and the end of the level :)
@tobiasw Wow! That is some really detailed feedback. Thank you. I've fixed the old man died thing. It was actually a bug. Enemies no longer stop at the door, and are easier to kill. They also can no longer trap you in corners. The length of the screenshake and coin fade happened because the browser was slower than the engine, which I didn't have time to correct. I'm still trying to perfect the amount of time. The loot currently is just for fun, but I am considering making a shop at the end of each level. More variety would certainly help the levels. I'm working on new things in the post LD version. Thanks for the information on pathfinding. It's really helpful!
@doot Thanks for the feedback! The enemies are easier in the post LD version, because they often actually were impossible, not just to take no damage, but to survive at all. A* is one of my main objectives at the moment :)
@johnnysix Thanks for commenting! I'm working on health bars at the moment :)
@fabula-rasa Thanks for commenting! I'm working on sound effects, and I might add music later on. I'm working on implementing pathfinding in post LD, as well as health bars. I'm working on adding a shop at the end of each level to use the gold on :)
@gustavo-christino lol thanks for the feedback. I fixed the edge of the room thing in post LD. @tobiasw Thanks for the article
@gustavo-christino Thanks for the really detailed comments! I am working on health bars in post LD, and a store at the end of each level. A leaderboard sounds like a good idea. I've never done one before, so it should be interesting. I like your ideas for enemy mechanics. They would add another level of enjoyment to the game. I fixed immobile enemies, and they no longer stay at the entrance to the room when you leave. There is a secret passage on a level that has not yet been released in the post-LD version. A bow sounds like a lot of fun, and a perfect use case for the store.
I'm working on sound at the moment, and multiple hit sounds seems like a good idea to maintain interest. I like the idea of escorting different people with multiple stories, and using that to progress the player's story/character development.
Thanks again for the amazing feedback :)
@unimaginable-code-studios Thanks for the feedback. Im glad you like it!
This was a really cool game. The graphics were really nice, the dialogue was funny, and the controls and challenges in the levels were very smooth and fun. Nice job. Have fun, I hope you die!!!
@bredian haha, awesome  I'm gonna listen to the soundtrack now
This game is really intense. I love it. Didn't manage to beat your high score(mine was only ~1200). Nothing really bad about this. It's one of my favourites so far!
@wans24 Thanks, I'll try it now
Really cool game. I've never seen anything quite like it. I had good fun playing. Good job.
Nice game. It was really fun. Maybe it would help to have a bit more feedback on the ship's status while you are off the bridge, through a wrist mounted device or something. Other than that, it was pretty much perfect. Awesome game, nice job.
I really liked this game. It was very fun and made me really want to complete it. The graphics are awesome too. Unfortunately, I couldn't pick up the med kit for some reason so I could not complete it, but good entry though, nice job!
Damn that was insane. I didn't even realise the world was being destroyed until it was too late, so by then I just started giving it the people like nothing even happened lol. Nice work, really well presented and polished.
This game is really cool. Its intense, but not in a bad way. I had lots of fun playing it. Really cool concept and it looks awesome as well.
I didn't realise i played this for HALF AN HOUR. It was so fun, and the graphics and polish were extraordinary. Really good game, nice job.
I liked this game. As noted previously, it's a little bit difficult, but other than that it's a really good entry. I love the art style and it could be a very interesting game with continued work.
This game's cool. The music and small screen size makes it quite atmospheric. That cow sound was the best lol. Nice work, really good compo game.
Nice game. I like trying to figure out what you could burn. The torch mechanic was really cool, and looked awesome. No apparent bugs. Nice job!
I loved this game. The art is quite nice. The controls are smooth and the badges add very enjoyable features. I played this for 25 minutes!
Nice wordplay :). This game was really intense, but that made it more fun, and the controls were really nice. I like the high jumping.
Theres a small glitch where you can drag the bars at the bottom left, but overall the game was really fun. I love the unique visual style.
I love this game so much. It's hilarious. The controls are difficult but in a fun way. Camera angles could use some work but overall really good game.
Fantastic game. Really well polished. Probably played too long XD but at least I got 2400 I think. Had lots of fun playing. Great entry.
First thing I did was get killed by the narrator. This game is epic. Literally the best one I've played so far. Awesome work!
This is a really cool game. The art is really nice. The tongue grab, as well as being inspired by an interesting part of your own heritage, is a really cool mechanic, and creates many opportunities for puzzles. Nice work!
Good fun game. Simple concept executed well. Congratulations finishing your first jam.
Nice game! I like the pace of the movement. Some pictures would aid the tutorial and sound would add to the mood but overall it's really fun. You really have to keep moving constantly. Nice job!
Nice idea. I never heard of gamebuino meta(although i have used arduino) before trying this game. I like that you control the animal rather than the vehicle. It's fun and unexpected. Cool game, controls could be a little bit smoother but overall nice job!
The feel of this game is great. It sets the tone brilliantly. I would love to see more of it.
Awesome game! Really retro arcade feel. Very original idea. No complaints really. Nice job! How many were on your team?
Nice game. I like the look of the characters. It would be great if you expanded it as a post LD project. I had fun. Good job!
Awesome, I really enjoyed playing it.
I loved this game. The fast-paced nature and fluent controls have a really nice feel, and the art is quite good-looking as well. This was really fun. One criticism: when you die there is a massive camera shake. Maybe tone it down a little. Overall this was a great game.
Nice game. It's really enjoyable and unforgiving. I like the music but it gets repetitive after a while. I noticed that the character graphic was a bit blurry. Most likely you can fix this by changing the filter mode on the image from bilinear to point. Overall, this was a pretty good game. Good job!
Really cool game. I like how collisions just blow up the mouse . Some of the hitboxes could be improved but overall really nice game. Also, I think all the invisible collisions people are talking about are actually the clouds.
Nice game. The sound and music really fit the NES/Atari feel. The gameplay was fun, gets really intense after a while, and about 250 the bombs spawn many times per second. Really fun, nice job!
This game is really cool. The graphics set the mood really well, and it's very nicely polished. Really good work. I had lots of fun playing this.
As others have said, the atmosphere is great. I had lots of fun playing this and loved the look and feel of it. I'd love to see this as a post LD game.
Fun and very relaxing. This game was very enjoyable, and the visuals, both the style and its execution, were very nice, and the post-processing wasn't too exaggerated either, which seems to be a common mistake, even in AAA games. There was good humor too. Great game.
I like the humour of this game. The graphics are pretty cool, and the music fits the situation nicely. I like the escape to exit scene lol. Nice work, gonna play this again!
Really nice game. It's well polished, and the concept was cute :D Good job!!!
Wow! That game is awesome! I love literally everything about it. Great job!
nice game! i like the mood and the graphics. music gets a bit annoying but cool idea and good implementation. Good work!
Really fun and amazingly polished. The graphics looked awesome too and the sound was great. Awesome game, very addictive
Cool game! Very original idea. Perfectly polished. I liked the graphics too :)
Nice game! The boss fight was amazing, although I had to do it twice because it trapped me against a wall the first time XD
I liked the progression with upgrades and the general gameplay felt really good. The graphics and UI were also of a very high standard and the game was excellently polished.
That said, there were a few bugs. Some bugs that I've noticed include the aforementioned boss trapping player, I fell out of the map once, and your health and upgrades stay when you start a new game.
Overall, the game was really nice, and its quality far outweighed the minor glitches. Expect me to come back and try to beat that leaderboard!
stuck in loading screen :(
They say 'nam flashbacks are bad? This is unimaginably worse XD
@carsten Thanks for the prompt rating. I only posted the game a few minutes ago!
@danielcmcg Thanks! We're strongly considering doing a post LD version so stay tuned for more features!
@dk5000p I accidentally inverted the explosion so it's more powerful the further away you get. I'll also work on stopping players skipping gates in post LD.
@thebooksnail Thanks for the review. Glad to hear you played through it all :). I'll perhaps make the player flash red when damaged in post LD
@mutuware Thanks for commenting. I'll change the physics in post LD to give the player a bit of inertia.
@patrickrmc Thanks for taking the time to play! I messed up the controls a bit but i know what to do with them in post ld at least :)
@ausstein glad you liked the game. I had a teammate doing art and level design so I had more time to do programming. Also I did a lot of practise over the summer :)
@netmute Thanks for commenting :) The shadow was mostly for buttons but could kill enemies as well. Still trying to think of more ways to use it in a bigger project.
@reallyqbert We're working on making the boxes easier. It's quite confusing for players at the moment because I did the physics wrong which made the explosion push the box less the closer the shadow was.
@jonah thanks! Glad you liked it :)
@jaoel That's a good idea. thank you for playing!
@sepee67 Thanks for leaving a comment. Glad you liked it. I found out what went wrong with movement so I'll fix that if we do post LD
@wizard-sino Thanks for playing. That's a good idea. We actually originally considered that but decided we didn't have time to implement it. DEFINITELY an option for post LD :)
@shubi-oni thanks for commenting. An update to the movement should fix the puzzle skips
@milestone-games Thanks! Glad you liked it
@tamail Thanks for playing! +1 to esphoros' comment :)
@coderaurus Thanks! I accidentally made the explosion more powerful the further away it was XD
@honey Thanks! This will be really helpful with post LD development. Not really sure what you meant by 'coyote time' though.
@thegreenworm Thanks for commenting! We'll fix the platforms if we do post LD. Honestly, I kinda liked the camera lerping XD but I'll see what other people think :)
@danielblanco3d Thanks for playing. We're working on the controls for if we release a post LD version. Glad you enjoyed it!
@cookie-chr Thanks for playing! Glad you tried :) thank you for telling us where one of the broken boxes is. I've been hunting them all weekend XD
@ausstein Nice! That's really impressive. How did you master the wall jumps so well?
Congratulations @ausstein! You won the speedrun challenge

Nice game. The concept was simple but very enjoyable. It's really nicely polished too. Nice job!
0/10 was permanently blinded by polish
Nice game. Good humour. I loved drifting around corners :)
Nice! Very well polished, good description of objective on the itch page and the rhythm was cool. I like how intensely difficult it was!
Nice game. Could use a bit of polish and maybe a tutorial but overall good job. was fun to play :)
Impressive effects. Very nicely done! Original concept too. Haven't seen anyone else do this :)
Awesome game! Kept blowing up the planet XD. Love the aesthetic. really nice feel + the sound is good
Nice game. The graphics were great. It was fun to go full speed and knock everybody off the ride XD. The polish is amazing too. Good job!
The game was cool, and the music was nice. The controls felt good two. Unfortunately, I couldn't play very far as the controls stopped working in the first level(as mentioned before by @benedek-labancz). Some of the text was also off the screen for me. Good effort, shame about the bug as the game seemed like it would be very enjoyable. Congratulations finishing your first LD.
beautiful
This was really fun. Took a few minutes to get a good understanding of the gameplay, but it was really cool once I had it. Have you ever played Risk? This game is quite similar.
The most needed thing is polish imo, since the general gameplay and balance is well thought-out.
Nice one :)
In case you didn't know, you're allowed to change your game after the deadline if it's to fix a game breaking bug. Hope you get the issue solved :)

Ah, glad to see a fellow titanfall player :D
The movement mechanics were fun, more so than killing the enemies, which got pretty boring when you realised you could just draw a massive triangle. Nice game though, the graphics were cool too, and the voicelines lol
Really nice game. The only small criticism I'd have is that it's quite short, but of course it is a jam so thats nothing too serious.
I loved the graphics. As the previous commenter said, showing the old tracks is a great addition. The UI is clean and simple, and helps practically with planning your route.
The music contributed to a really nice mood that just perfectly set the tone of the game.
Very well done. I imagine this is going to get at least one medal
@marianoa213 @online-play @legolula Glad you enjoyed it!
@kazuren Thanks for the feedback! Was a serious facepalm moment when I realised my mistake with the escape key lol
@kickononnell Thanks. I should definitely have added better feedback to mining etc. Game idea was too ambitious, had little time for polish sadly
@arthur-mairs Thanks for commenting. I remember your LD46 game! I actually replayed it recently. Cool to see you're still jamming :D
@ausstein Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed the restart bug. I can't believe I didn't think to add a timer lol.
@coggoid Glad you liked the art!
@benskca Thanks for commenting. I also loved the trees :)
@haastregt Thank you for the feedback. I should have put greater consideration into player feedback, that'll be a really important thing for me to consider in future jams
@jivvy Ah, sorry. I only had some old laptop to test the linux build on.
@duckwings Glad you liked it. I'm just gonna pretend it wasn't a bug lmao
@dobryn Thanks :). For me this was my third jam but i'm amazed by the quality of art @brainboy was able to produce... it is his first
@player04 Would've been fun to add if we had more time, we even had plans for them
@woahitsjeff :sunglasses:
@archangel Thank you for commenting. It was so dumb of me to make escape the quit button lol
@arthur-mairs Very cool :eyes:
Ahhh I love how polished this is. Graphics, audio, camera setup, everything felt right. This was fun and exciting, and I couldn't find any problems with it. Nice job!
Nice game. Most of my gameplay thoughts have already been adressed, except that I feel there should be a minimum distance between placed turrets. In terms of graphics, I enjoyed the aesthetic, but I would change a few things: - The background is a cubemap, so a seam is visible at the edges. Using a flat image or a skybox will improve the look of your game - The irregularly scaling of some rocks stretches the texture, making it look distorted. Consider using a tileable texture to keep the correct aspect ratio - The rock meshes also had visible squares on the surface. Smooth shading should fix this
All things considered, this is a pretty nice game, and could be really fun with a few balancing and quality of life changes. gj :)
Nice game. It was a unclear at first what the purpose of the obelisk was. I love the art and sound. The music, combined with the bare landscape and the fact you are enclosed by visible borders of the map makes for a surprisingly lonely mood. The gameplay is quite simple, and would need more development to have any kind of replay value. Pretty cool game overall, needs some further design considerations to improve fun. Hope this helped :)
Nice. I like the humour in this one. The UI is easy to understand and use. The music gets annoying after a while though. Overall, pretty cool game, nice job
This game is simply great The music, gameplay and art beautifully capture the comedic absurdity of the concept, creating a consistently light-hearted yet joyfully intense experience. I legitamately don't have any criticisms of this game. Really nice job!!
Wow, the scope of this game is really big. I have a lot of thoughts I'd like to share.
I'll start with graphics. Overall I really liked the graphical style, but there are a few things that could've made it better: - One thing that jammers ofter forget is smooth shading. Without it, "curved" edges of meshes such as the tape are visibly flat. - The signage on the ship wasn't very noticeable, and it was only on my 4th time playing that I realised they were present. FOV is something important to consider as an artist. When directly facing a door, it takes a ~20° rotation for the signs to be on the screen, and even then a player focused on something else may not see them. This is where colour comes into play. Try out different colours for the text and background to find a good mix of grabbing the player's attention and fitting the aesthetic of the game. - The blowtorch and wrench look too big in the player's hand, especially when compared to the screwdriver
Next, gameplay, which was mostly well executed and the concepts were cool, but a little more polish is needed in some places: - The camera shake made it so hard to do anything that the intensity of the bar being low was really nonexistent, since it doesn't feel like you can do anything to prolong it. - The balance is just slightly off, such that a player could keep the game going until they get bored, which of course damages replay value(i.e. no competition for high scores) - Small changes like making the bolts bigger(they can be difficult to interact with) would improve the quality of the game.
Setting aside these small issues, I did enjoy the game, in total playing for a little over an hour. You've implemented an incredible amount of systems given the timeframe, most of which are reasonably well polished, creating a fun experience. The graphical style was mostly well-defined, consistant, and most importantly, it looked good. The audio was mostly nice apart from the music being slightly repetitive. I enjoyed the intro too ;)
All things considered, this is a really impressive entry, and the amount of effort is clear. Nice work!
Brilliant! Played to the end(reset and played again just in case lol). Creating a game of this level of polish with such a well-written story is no easy task for 72 hours. Also, despite what others have said, I think having to repeatedly hear the same dialogue adds to the impact of the narrative, but the slide is a bit too short. Really good job, congrats!
Really nice game! My best score was 411(i think). The polish is really good for a jam game. It was really satisfying to play and I did about 20 runs. I love the intensity that's created by the condition for moving Boro. One thing I'd note is that when you're dragging and the slowmo starts/ends, the line doesn't change colour, and this can make is difficult to understand which character will be thrown. Cool game, really nice work :D
Haha really cool idea. Unfortunately, I don't really have anything to say about the game except that I enjoyed it :P
The links are gone
@alexhonor Oh my bad I thought that was a video
@tolmera Haven't been on LD in a while. Love the chants, what a cool way to say thanks. I might just have to hide your name somewhere in one of my next games. I still remember the multiplayer game you made back in i think LD46. Definitely one of the highlights of all the LD games I've played, that shit was awesome
p.s. did you move your game hosting to somewhere else? i saw the chants on github but i can't play it
