Love the concept. But the music was a bit to heavy during gameplay. :)

will-isaacson 2020-10-06 07:14

really cool puzzles you've put together. One of the first games I've played tonight that made me use my brain lol. Soundtrack was really nice too, kudos. Nice take on the theme. Congrats on a cool game!

nekuake 2020-10-06 07:21

I always struggled to understand electronic circuits but it was really easy to catch the concept in your game! I will definitely use your game to help my little brother when h has to learn electronics!

squidzilla 2020-10-06 07:24

Cool game overall, but the music... wow. I love the melodies, the harmony, the glitchyness. The loops are nice and short, so it adds to the theme :)

pleyad 2020-10-06 07:25

Cool game, and an absolute glorious name! Are the different obstacles (for example the triangular thingy) inspired by real life circuits?

I found that when I changed the size of the game (either by the in game toggle, or by going fullscreen), all the buttons stopped working and I had to reload.

spacecadet 2020-10-06 08:19

Awesome idea for a puzzle game and I really liked the audio and the art. Good job!

jhax 2020-10-06 08:37

@pleyad Inspired is probably the right word - although it's half remembered from school ~10 years ago. It's certainly not a very accurate portrayal of how circuits actually work ( sorry @nekuake's brother!)

Sorry about the resizing bug - thanks for reloading to give it another go!

Nice idea, but it seems the level design does not exploit all its potential.

All the levels are quite easy. So I went directly to level 15, I beat it by using only half of the arrows, and the electrons used half of the paths.

The game displays in a window too high. Despite my (quite) big screen, I had to put the navigator in full-screen to seel the whole height.

axelrinaldo 2020-10-06 22:41

Absolutely lovely game! Played through the entirety of it and it was all very enjoyable. The only negatives I have are quality of life things like a "Next Level" button and possibly a button to fast forward the game that you can use after you've made a correct solution to skip the wait.

jagsyfox 2020-10-07 06:15

Very cool concept, easy to pick up but makes you think a lil, I like it

grizzliusmaximus 2020-10-07 15:36

Dude, I'm taking Computer Engineering and this game is my (game) JAM!!! Not really how electricity works though but who cares! I think this game could benefit with a fast forward button. I love the music! Overall great game!

edit: there is a speed up!

jhax 2020-10-07 16:09

Thanks @grizzliusmaximus, I put the speed options in more as a way to change the difficulty a bit. I think a fast forward within the levels would improve playability ( @axelrinaldo pointed this out too!)

I'd quite like to come back to it to make some more levels after rating is over so I'll keep it in mind for then.

The pun in the title sold me instantly the game ahah! It's a fun little puzzle, very well executed! It's simple yet very charming with the retro presentation. The mecanic is quite clever and I like all the variations you managed to pull out with the system. Congratulation!

finntastico 2020-10-09 17:44

Quite a fun idea! And defintely the best pun of ld47. I wish I would get some nice feedback after completing a level and it would send me to the next level right away. Really cool puzzle game!

almax 2020-10-09 18:14

Name made me play, great game made me stay :) Puzzles were simple enough to not outstay their welcome, and I loved the simple pixelated art style. Overall a solid polished entry. Awesome work!

anguss 2020-10-09 18:17

Really neat idea, very original and fit the theme well.

yword 2020-10-10 13:20

Very innovative idea and challenging puzzles! Nice works. ^_^

gurigraphics 2020-10-10 19:21

Well suited to the theme. You can explore this idea a lot. Set the value of the electric current, connect and disconnect batteries, logical doors, microcontroller pins, etc. Idle games are a hit at Kongregate. Anyway for the jam it was pretty cool. Good Job

savvy-community 2020-10-11 11:57

Hey there! Thanks for linking us your game :D, It was a lot of fun to revive my highschool tech class ahah. I loved the concept, simple yet clever regarding the theme, as well as the graphic style chosen. I was just a bit frustrated to go back to the menu to go to the next level, but that's detail. Overall, that's a solid entry for the jam and in the end, a great mini game. Congrats!!

Cheers!

dxk2294 2020-10-12 04:28

This was great! But boy was it difficult  It was a great implementation of the theme, and a really clever conversion from circuits to gameplay. Great job!

j0ye 2020-10-16 09:38

Well, if this isn't a little perfect puzzle game. I like a lot. Its fast-paced, has a lot of interesting elements and you definitely nailed the theme. The only thing that throw me off a bit is the colliding electrons, that don't respawn. I feel like they should respawn. But that may ruin some of the riddles.

mar3k 2020-10-16 09:40

Very nice game, lots of levels with increasing difficulty and the concept is really cool as well. Only thing I would be worried is for people who don't know the schematic symbols, to get what is what. Very nice game, I rated it quite high, good job! EDIT: Forgot to mention how cool the name of the game is! :D

martinitron 2020-10-17 16:51

Was drawn in by the name and discovered a wonderful little puzzle game. enjoyed it a lot and loved the music! well done

arbe 2020-10-18 14:27

I love the concept, and the pun enthusiast in me was ecstatic while reading the name.

I appreciate the little QOL settings, such as the game pace switches and the quick restart button, and I'm impressed by the amount of levels you managed to create within the span of the jam.

There's a good amount of polish on the sfx and graphics, although I've encountered a bug where the title screen song keeps playing while in gameplay.

Good job overall.

caeonosphere 2020-10-18 15:17

Managed to beat all the levels. Some very cool ideas in there, and... pretty strikingly similar to my game, eh? Might steal some mechanics from y'all one day. :)

prodigalson 2020-10-19 13:53

I really enjoyed the simplicity of the game making it really easy to understand, the ability to choose a level so that you play another should you get stuck, and even if I don't read any of the instructions it is still easy to understand - more or less - what needs to happen. As I played through levels 1, 2, and 3 I started to notice that the game does not really feel like a "loop" since I can break the loop to meet the goal and as many times as I need. What I mean by this is that if the goal was more focused on creating a loop where you charge/discharge the electrons to win the level then I would be sold on the theme and if this was deliberate to make it more "winnable" for the jam I get it. Just pointing it out because it does stand out. Also, would be nice to auto-move to the next stage on success rather than having to back out but that's a minor thing. Nicely done

tamail 2020-10-23 15:47

Oooh, I loved this one! This would be really cool as a game accompanying a physics lecture for middle graders or something! The music is a bit annoying but otherwise I liked everything about it!

convg 2020-10-27 19:33

Nice game. The concept was simple but very enjoyable. It's really nicely polished too. Nice job!
