I liked how good the art for how simple it is!! nice color scheme and sounds, hight points for that :)
Really enjoying the visual style. Listening for where the planets are was also unique and fun. Gameplay-wise, it felt pretty much down to luck whether you'd come across the resource you needed or the final objective, though you could attempt to remember where the various resources were, I suppose.
Great concept! :)
Overall, I thought the game was great. It was simple, but kept me engaged. I loved the fact that you used sound as the method for finding planets. That was very neat! Great job!
Huge fan of the 2d Audio as a means for finding resources! Also liked the minimal graphics. Good stuff!
The sound did not seem to work in Safari for me (I tried refreshing), but swapping to Chrome resolved the issue. I like the visual style, the pixel art is really nice, and I like the colours. But I'm not a huge fan of varying pixel sizes, particularly the comparatively high resolution fonts. Actually, I think if you stripped away most of the UI it could be quite beautiful.
This game is quite cool! Big fan of using 3d audio as a game mechanic -- my only complaint with this is that I cranked up volume to be able to hear the sounds, but then found them to be too loud once I was close to the planet. Overall it was fun -- I should've realized flying into the sun would kill me :)
Very good game, simple and works well.
I think it could be developed further into a commercial project, pretty interesting. I was able to find a new home for us, humans! \o/
Congrats to both of you, solid entry.
For how simple the game was I actually found it quite enjoyable. I hope the idea is developed more beyond the Jam, with some additional content or whatever you feel. Nice work!
Enjoyable mix of explorative space simulator and blind man's buff. A really solid base big space adventure game in which you not only looking for resources, but encounter various perils of cosmos.
Really cool concept behind the game. I enjoyed playing it. I would have been interested to play it with the audio direction based on the direction your ship was pointing instead of global, just to see if it made it easier or harder.
Using 3D audio as a game mechanic is great. I like the simplicity of graphics. Pretty work!
Loved the use of sound, graphics were all nicely themed together and solid, well done!
This was fun, at first i didnt really know what the food icon was and the sound for it. Was fun to play and I beat it on the 2nd try.
not bad. But for people like me (no headphones, provisional sound system) this sound based gameplay can be little bit downer. But good execution anyway! gj :)
Loved the audio mechanic. Mood was great, the artstyle was also unique
Fun concept! Thanks for bringing it by the stream!
I really like the concept of the game, using the 3D sound system to catch resources to your journey. However I feel the game doesn't explain itself very well. Surely I manage to figure it out eventually, but it is not clear that the sound radar of the game is the 3D system. Or, perhaps, I was unlucky enough to not catch a planet for a while and could not manage to understand at first sight. Therefore, I would recommend to use a non-guided tutorial as simple as "hard putting" a second planet near the beginning, to teach the game about the radar :)
About the game visual aesthetics, I really love the limited palette and the minimalistic pixel art - however, I needed to see the game description to catch what each symbol are.
TL;DR - really liked the concept, would play a extended version of this concept
Very unique mechanic, and awesome art style. Clever concept and pretty nice delivery overall! Nice job!
Definitely a different game play mechanic that you don't see too often. I love the color scheme and art style you went with. Choosing those colors over just black and white was a great design choice. This is a good pull it up when you are bored waiting at the DMV type of game. Not a whole lot of depth to it but a good way to pass the time. Great work!
The more I think about this the more I like it. I got pretty stuck at first because it took me way to long to realize the while I could hear the game, my speakers were too quiet and I couldn't find any other planets. Once I cranked up the volume it all was great! The controls felt good, the music and art were super cute, and it's a pretty cool concept. Nice work!
this is an incredibly interesting way to play. I tried playing without looking but the controls being relative to the ship and the sound being relative to the screen made that hard lol. good job!
Hey, well done! It's a simple concept, but well executed. You need to get used to the different sounds first and their effects, but then its quite an adventure. The first time my ship was getting really cold and I simply could not find a planet, which gave me heat. Imagine finally finding me a sun for the first time and happily running into it. Lol!
The graphics have a nice retro touch. I actually like the two-color palette. The colors work well together and are nice to look at.
Well done!
Wow. From the games I have played, this is my favorite in this jam. I have nothing to add to make it better :D Thanks for making this.
Love the mechanics here, the sound is awesome. The art is crisp and simple. Great work guys!
Felt very familiar, even nostalgic - the game is really well drawn and designed
I ran out of heat most of the time due to particular randomness in finding resources, but will keep trying to find the new home!
Really liked this submission, great sound effects and a really nice alternative take on mechanics. The art style is nice and consistent, i loved the layout as well. The sound effects were high quality which is obviously neccessary for this mechanic. Great Job!
Well done, I really like the concept and execution. Audio is really cool and graphics are pleasantly retro. Some background music would have been nice. Well done :v:
Great! I really enjoyed it. And I found a second earth on my last bar of oxygen :) The 2D (can it really be 3D on a 2D plane?) sound feature is awesome and is not just sugar coating but part of the game play mechanics. The art is simple but effective. I appreciate good 1 bit color schemes. The recharging sound was a bit obnoxios and I had to turn down the volume because I couldn't bear it after a while.
Can't really find any valid criticism apart from some ideas to make the game play a little more intriguing. I think I would enjoy some gravity around the planets to make the fight for heat during sun flybys more interesting for example. Or some shooting mechanics to fight off aliens/metroids.
Great game to build more upan. Good job!
Great use of 3d sound and lovely 2 color palette.
Genius mechanics. Took me a round figuring out the "sound radar" was actually listening to the sound. Loved the overall feeling of the game as well as the two hand picked colors in it. Definitely I want to see this game worked through. Hang to your seats Ur-Quan Masters! Great work

Neat game, it really reminded me of one of your previous entries (Soundscapes). After the initial novelty of the game, it was maybe a bit too RNG-based.
Saw a glimpse of this game on a stream and the color scheme / artstyle caught my eye! While playing the experience of incorporating sound into gameplay was very nice, although I couldn't even find all of the resources, my crew died of hunger :(
Would also love to see a version that has a smoother introduction and more concepts around the exploration of the sound as mechanic.
I really enjoyed the innovative use of audio in this, and the gameplay was really smooth. It would be nice to see the base idea developed into something a little more complex post-JAM. Well done!
Loved it! I've always wanted to see sound be a more important part of games, and making it the main mechanic was a great choice!
Maybe I just didn't spend long enough looking, but I'd love to have a bit more stuff to find! Those first few minutes of blindly exploring and trying to figure out what was making each sound was a blast, and I'd love to see that taken beyond the small handful of things present in the jam version.
Absolutely take this further post-jam!
Very good game! Just found Earth in time :D
This game is excellent! The sound mechanics to denote different resources is really a cool take. Once I was able to map out where the planets were I was able to keep my crew alive indefinitely by just visiting the same places over again. The controls and graphics were all made to fit the feel perfectly - they compliment each other very well.
Congrats!
Top artstyle and idea! Of course the sound effects made this a top game. Had a grat time playing and it is definitely suitable for mobile as well!
Beautiful graphics and a very nice concept! It played really well, I didn't encounter any bugs.
Very interesting concept. Generally nice execution. I think I would have preferred the Stereo effect be relative to the ship orientation rather than the camera so I could "turn my head [ship]" to try to locate things as I approached rather than having to use North/South navigation.
ETA: Thanks for bringing your game by my stream to check out. The highlight is at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/617290854
Gostei da forma que usaram os sons, o jogo tá bem legal, a parte gráfica está bem bonita também. Bom uso do tema.
Really well done. A big amount of work on sounds and aesthetic. The way you manage the theme is clever. I like the minimalist aesthetic. Genius and clever mechanics. Thank you ++
so clever! Sound is so often overlooked as a core game mechanic. Reminded me of one of the levels in Braid. super fun. Is the baby a 2001 Space Odyssey reference? Love it. I would have used a different color than yellow -- but that's just a personal preference. Well done.
@anystarabove exactly, it is 2001 Space Odyssey reference, well observed =D
Thank you very much for the feedback
The game is very impressive from the audio visual stand point. You have a very consistent art style and it works really well. The sonar is definitely the stand out feature of this game, its implemented very well and the sound design for it is incredible.
Spatial audio done right! Also a great art style. I felt lost at times but that fits the game's tone. The interface has a lovely look and feel to it and the game was fun. Good job!
saw your game on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/jer_re . played and found it to be a really special stand-out concept and audio execution. the overall system is a bit hard to grasp, but that's the natural downside of innovation, right! good job!
I like this game. It gives that retro 90's feel. Personally I wish the UI would've been a little different, maybe so that I could have most of the screen for the space so I didn't feel so locked in. I also found it a bit hard to understand what was going on, but all in all it's a good game with great polishpotential
Very cool use for the sound spatialisation!
The graphics are very clean, doing this with only two colors is impressive
One of my favorite games of this Jam so far!
I really enjoyed the 1 bit art style and the mood. Gameplay is original too! Nice job!
I just got new speakers so this was a really cool way of testing them out :D . Very nice artstyle, fun mechanics, great sounds. Nice one!
Really interesting gameplay! Made it really fun to play.
Nice game! I liked the graphics, and I really liked the sound-driven exploration. That could really be expanded on in future projects. Good stuff. The celebratory noises don't stop when you restart the game, so they kept cheering over the message about the death of the earth. A complete non-issue, but I thought it was funny.
Awesome entry! You could try to improve your UI, couldn't guess when the game really started and lost few minutes trying to figure out which of the 3 buttons on the left should I press!
The sensation of exploration and flying across the emptiness of the space unearth some feeelings I had years ago while playing Armada Online! Wish the scenario could be something more procedural and "infinite" to give the sensation of an open sandbox to explore!

Really cool game! The sound was very innovative and of high quality. I really liked how it was used as a mechanic! It felt like you were in space and it was enjoyable to play. It was somehow peaceful, and a bit stressful when you ran low on resources, at the same time! Some improvements could be a map of discovered planets because sometimes I ran out of one specific resource, or a uncovering of fog idea (on a minimap) like I saw "The Great Berate" said on YouTube said. Overall, incredible job, great game!
Thanks for the game! I love to see audio being used as a core mechanic, it's not something you see that often. It was cool to learn what the different sounds meant as I explored the universe, being able to navigate more efficiently the further I went. It was a nice reveal to hear a unique sound and intuitively understand that I was approaching the goal planet.
It would be great if the progression of the game was a little more directed, perhaps uncovering the fog of war on a minimap as you explored, or instead have the goal be to survive for X amount of time.
Great game, thanks for submitting!
Good entry, I liked the concept, but would be awesome to see the game improved in the future, it feels hard to remember where did you encounter which planer, so it makes it harder to get bac for particular resource!
Nice game! the graphics are really nice, and the controls are smooth. The resource sound was a bit annoying, but overall nice work! Also, was the new earth supposed to look like a fetus in a womb lol
The one bit pixel art is awesome! I love the idea of using sound as a means to find your way in the game! This can easily become a great game in the future! Keepu Upu The Goodu Worku! Greato Jobu!
I enjoyed to play your submission! Very nice art and sound FX!
We streamed the gameplay live on our twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/firesplashtv), watch out for the highlights of todays VOD ;)
Great work, could have used a bit of colour for the different stats/planets.
Also even a few different shades of colour can work really well to make things look better.
Things tend to look better in retro pixel art style when you keep the same pixel resolution.
Note in Unity if you render to texture then scale the texture and put it in front of it's own camera you can ensure all the pixels have the same ratio.

love the game and the idea with the sound. has a pleasant atmosphere and is ideal to relax a little. congratulations.
This is very interesting. I liked the sound design, which is important for a game like this, and the atmosphere was good too. For some reason, it seemed like I could manually drag on the meters to increase or decrease them, but I'm not sure if maybe that was a visual bug. Overall, great game!
The game itself feels amazing, the audio, graphics, everything... but as expected for a gamejam game (and this is not a flaw) it lacks some content
Amazing pixel art right off the bat. The audio was limited ( but then again....it is space after all) but was used nicely for the different planets. I would have liked a larger field of view though. I found myself just going around space until I reached the edge though. Most of the time I didn't know where I was going but then again, it's space XD. Still, it's an awesome game and I did find another habitable planet. Nice job overall :)
Nice game, we like the graphics and sound effects.
The 3D sound effects works great ! Congrats
interestig, I reached the tops of and died because I did not find the c °, good job!!!
Real real cool concept! I loved the graphics and the 3D sound made the sound design really interesting! I liked it!
I love the simple graphics and an innovative gameplay! I also noticed that each time we get a new ship, that's a nice touch! Great job!
Nice graphics, i love the art of the game, keep the hard work :D
Great game, very polished experience. Very good/effective graphic style.
Simple graphics, simple gameplay, but super clean and effective! Enjoyed playing a lot.
I like that you did different sprites for ships! Kept replaying partly because I was curious which ship I'll get next time :D
